The beams stained very well with gel stain. They look just like hand hewn beams. Love the look. They are light to handle and will bend a little to go over uneven old ceilings.

Product showed up broke in the package. Emailed Home Depot twice with pictures and I have not received a reply yet. Otherwise product looks good.

The faux beam looks amazing now that it’s installed. The shipping to get to the job-site was reasonable during pandemic shortages. It was difficult to find a stain that actually covered the plastic look of the beam. I ended up faux finishing it with chalk paint and wax to look like white oak after trying many stains and primers on the sample pieces we bought first. Also we were covering a 2x4 laminated beam and the inside angle of the faux beam made it a little harder to install as opposed to what we saw others using this beam for. Overall, after the initial finishing and installation process we are happy with the finished product and would recommend to others to try.

This was perfect and just as described! Easy to install. We had to use liquid nails to put it up due to nothing to drill into and it worked great!

The beam arrived well packaged and ahead of the scheduled day. Delivery called about an hour before arriving. Refreshing customer service. As for the beam itself, once unpackage I noticed it had a curve of about 3 inches and that concerned me....but the install proved that it had the flexibility to straighten. Trimming it was no problem and a hack saw worked very well. We painted the beam rather than staining and that proved to be no problem. Seems expensive..... but when you are holding it over your head to install on the ceiling, you'll be glad it isn't a full, heavy wooden beam. Looks very real.

Great product that's easy to work with, but the installer needs to take special care when measuring and installing beams because beam dimensions are not uniform throughout due to their "rustic" appearance, so cuts where beams connect to make extended lengths must be made so beam dimensions coincide while still allowing for sufficient overall length.

Delivered earlier than planned and wrapped carefully! Even left a notification saying they would leave in a dry place because it was raining with a call right before they delivered! Used a hacksaw blade and sander to fit the beam to ceiling. No issues. Before nailing to ceiling we used a gel stain in the color chestnut - 2 layers with a spray matte finish polyurethane to take away shine from stain. We did not have support beams so we decided to use a faux wood beam and it was the perfect choice! Beam was very lightweight. Highly recommend!

Beam looks good but it was delivered with 2 feet of the beam and box missing.Looks like it was broken of in transit

Arrived in perfect conditon. White glove treatment on a 13’ pallet. Finished with Home Depot’s Gel Stain and they look fantastic!

One of the beams had a 3 foot crack down the middle but was able to install and fill with caulking after.

This is perfect, we needed to hide a seem, instead of painting and trying to match a textured ceiling we put this up after painting it and called it a day.

High quality product, easy to install

I ordered three beams to cover divets in the living room ceiling and I wanted them to match the wood on the feature wall in the same room. I took a sample of the feature wall to Sherwin Williams and they recommended a latex paint that matched beautifully. It only took one coat and really looks like real wood now that they're up. I'd highly recommend these as an option to more expensive, real wood beams.

Great product. It took us a while to find the right stain, but once we did it went on easy and came out looking perfect. Very happy with these, and glad we bought them instead of the pre-colored ones.
