If there were also a "Universal Appeal" rating, I'd give that rating maybe 3 stars. We gave it 5 stars for the provided ratings largely because we really like the clever spray pattern it produces "by default", which is produced by a small whirling disk in the showerhead. Installation was a snap, but it pays pays to read the directions before using it. There are three settings for spray pattern, with an automatic reset to the "default" one for lowest water flow when the flow is below a certain level...which also means until the water flow is turned up to that level, the default pattern is what you get. And that works very well for us, because that pattern is quite effective at giving you the feel of a large spray using a low water flow...clever engineering. The other two sprays are also very good, but would need to be chosen each shower because of the auto-reset to the default when the water is turned off.

A good shower on low setting, awesome on the middle, the last is almost like a massage. Great pressure and eliminated problems of running out of hot water when two showers are going at the same time. Easy to install, resets to lowest flow when water is turned off. Easy to change settings.

This shower head resets its possition back to a setting that most people will not want to use (mist narrow stream). If you do not mind having to reset it each time you use it then I think I would give it an average rating, but I personally would not recommend it.

It has worked as I expected. The spray adjustment lever works nicely.

Although it does have a nice spray, it has an irritating Drip, drip from center spray.

The pressure is great, even on the lowest flow setting.

Excellent - we are on a well but pressure is adequate to enable the shower head to function as intended. We almost always keep it in the water saver mode and have installed them in all three of our showers.

2 of the 3 spray positions did not work properly. Water just dribbled out of those 2 settings I also did not like the fact that when the shower was shut off it would snap back to a default setting instead of staying on the setting I wanted.

Home Depot did a great job of taking it back and crediting my account.

I like the way the "spray" works--BUT NOT the way it "snaps" back when you turn the water off!! It's startling for sure. I thought you could "set" the spray you want and it would stay there, no, it doesn't! It comes on with a very hard horizonal spray, then you have to turn it to the spray you want. IF the water is turned on hard enough it will stay there until you turn the water off, then it snaps back to the original setting. Not to keen on that part! Otherwise I do like the 3rd setting. Can't win them all.............could use some fine tuning for sure!

I purchased this item as replacements for shower heads in two guest showers. They were easy to install. However, the product doesn't "hold" any of the water flow settings when water isn't running, so it has to be adjusted/set each time someone takes a shower. Until it sets, the water sprays out in a horrible pattern, so guests who don't recognize it's adjustable find it very frustrating. Plus because on the default non-setting the water comes out in such an uncontrollable pattern, it shoots water very broadly and without fail, shoots water between the minuscule opening where my custom glass shower door closes against the non-door glass, getting a significant amount of water on the bathroom floor every time. I thought it was defective, at first, but then found the second one does the exact same thing.

This item was listed on either the Home Depot or Consumer Reports website as made in the USA but was not. That listing is now gone. It was also listed in either of those sites as ‘Water Sense’ which means an EPA approved water saving device. It is not per American Standard in NYS.

Easy to install and performs well

Cannot turn the 1-2-3 indicator. No instructions.

Pressure is very good and the additional settings are effective if a little more pressure is needed.

The default setting is the one we always use.....very good, comfortable spray.

I've used the Flowise Transitional 3-Function Head for many years. The head delivers a full face of water on all settings. Other heads deliver a hollow cone of water. The Flowise head has three spray patterns operating on two different volume settings. The auto-return feature contiues to help save water after years of service.

This shower head is a good choice for someone looking for a low flow water saving device. Having 3 settings keeps everyone in the family happy. And I'm sure we are using way less water everyday because of this great device.

As with most purchases like this, I hit up Consumer Reports to see which brands and models to consider. Having had previous experience with American Standard, I was glad to see them in the top group of ratings. Ordering online was easy (wasn't available in my local store) and the shipping was quick. Installing it was as simple as removing the hand-held shower I was replacing, cleaning off the threads, wrapping some silicone tape around the clean threads and screwing the new shower head on. The new shower head works well. Three spray patterns to pick from. I found one to be to my liking.

Well made and it saves water what isn't there to like about that.

The best selling points are its water saving ability and very low Home Depot price. However, there are two problems with this unit, 1) it is difficult to change the default shower spray setting to another. If you manage to do it, it resets itself to its initial setting when you turn off the water. A subsequent shower requires another struggle to change it. 2) The water pressure is very low.

This is a great product for the price. The various stream adjustments provide about every type shower you might desire. Time will tell if the product is as good as it appears. It is recommended.

This is an excellent shower head. Great water pressure and really bright, attractive addition to the shower room. I am so happy to have replaced my old shower head with this one! The price is really reasonable also.
