It seems to work fine. Very easy to install. I wish my skin felt more slickery and soft. I use to have a whole house water conditioner it’s not as good as that. For an apt it is good

Wife really likes the feel of her skin after taking a shower!!!

When I installed the filter in my shower I connected this to the existing spout. When I added the hand held Moen shower unit it does not allow me to adjust the spray down due to the conflicts of the filter and the shower handle. It may be as easy as adding an extension to the handle side of the unit so it can be easily adjusted. As far as the filtering it works great!

I have been using this product for years (12+). Very satisfied with its performance.

The product came as it should and the installation was easy. I am enjoying the product and have noticed some differences.

Starting 10 years ago when I lived in Utah up through recently while living in New York City, I have had a flaky scalp near my temples. Never had it in my life before, so I used dandruff shampoo. That seemed to clear it up, but it wasn't great for my hair. I finally mentioned it to a friend, and he assured me, chlorine was to blame! I found Aquasana and gave it a try. Within DAYS, the flakes were gone, never to return. I told my sister, still in Utah to get one, and voila! No more troubles for her either. And oh yeah, because I don't have to use dandruff shampoo, I'm actually able to maintain the quality of hair one would expect from a carbon-based lifeform. Yay!

We love the way the water is feeling, very soft to take a shower and wash your hair.

I rely on Aquasana to keep my well water in my shower clean!

The filter does provide nice water, but despite installing and reinstalling several times, we can’t get it to not leak. We used fresh plumbers tape each time we installed it, removing the old tape first, and still can’t get it to stop leaking. Also, we installed it with our current wand-style shower head and it just doesn’t fit well behind it due to the hose connection. The unit is so long that the hose and the unit butt against each other which forces the spray directly against the back wall of the shower. We can’t tilt the shower head as it should be without twisting it to the side so the hose can clear the filter unit. Wish it worked, but it doesn’t.

Water quality not improving after few weeks, very disappointing

The installation was easy enough but once in place I lost all my water pressure. It made it really difficult to wash and rince my hair. I would like to know how I can return it and get a refund please.

Its a Good Filter >>but lack a thick rubber washer seal between the shower pipe and filter connection... HAD to locate a thicker washer than what was provided to STOP the leak...Otherwise it works well!

Easy to install. Too soon to tell if it makes a difference for my hair but water seems cleaner.

This doesn’t work. I bought two, to be sure. I tested my water straight out of the faucet and then tested the filtered water. It doesn’t remove anything, and adds sediment. I waited months just to be sure it wasn’t from the carbon filter leaving residue in the water (as some is expected at first) Same results after testing again at 1 month and 2 months. For both filters. Just doesn’t work. Skin still dry. Numbers show the water is worse coming through the filter. I have an apec brand reverse osmosis filter, that continuously works great, removes 70% of everything from my water, and needs to be replaced less often. It’s disappointing this company expects us not to test the water.

We have enjoyed AQUASANA for many years now and believe they work. We like that they’re good for six months. You set it and not have to worry about it for months. Filter does leak a little.

My daughter says this is the best filter. Her hair is so soft after she washes it.

Amazing product. I definitely notice a clear difference in how my skin hair and body feel. Feels healthier. First filter I got was producing a leak between the shower pipe and the filter, but they sent me a new crown to the filter, I switched it and now there’s only a slight leak that isn’t a problem, and I’ll be a lifetime customer. IT’S WORTH IT, STOP SHOWERING IN CHLORINE, 96% effectiveness for 6 months, one of the few shower filters that actually show their lab testing results.

I've had an Aquasana shower filter and shower head for a couple of years now. I have ordered and replaced the shower filter several times with no problems. Last month I went to replace the filter unit and after several attempts I could not stop the unit from leaking from the threaded pipe from the wall that connects to the unit. I got so frustrated with the defective unit that I just dismantled the unit off the wall and threw it into the garbage. Throwing the unit in the garbage was the only satisfaction I got from this last purchase. I then went to a chain warehouse store and purchased and installed another shower head and had no issues at all.

Water seems softer and helps with dry skin. Good for hair also

It leaks a bit from the point where the showerhead is on it. I do like that it helps with the smell of my water but I was hoping my hair would be softer based on reviews, one even from a family member in another home. I'll still use it, it's helping. Just not as much as I thoguht it would.

I am a long time customer of Aquasana. Other filters just haven't delivered the water quality I get. My hair is softer, no more brassiness and the blue stain in the shower is gone. That said, the filters themselves break down after a couple of months. The filter leaks at the place the filter screws into the crown. Water pours down the sides of the shower filter. I've tried drying out the filter, putting the O ring in again, using cream around the threads to better secure the filter in the crown and nothing works. When I put in a new filter, there's no leaking so I know it's the filter itself. Customer service is very good. I called and they are sending me a replacement free of charge. But I expect to have the same issue. I think perhaps they need to rethink the design to have the filter last. Note, I live in an area that has soft water, not hard water.

I don't really notice any difference in the water.
