Price wise this decent media center will work especially if...
Price wise this decent media center will work especially if you have a low budget and perhaps would work best at a dorm or small apartment. Some of the construction is poor at best; the back is flimsy and will fall apart if the media center is moved often. The shelving doesn't stick properly together. It hold a fair amount of media, not too small but not a large collection either. I would spend slightly higher and get better workmanship to last you far longer as this appears to be a short term and lackluster selection.

Please make sure you screw plastic inserts and fasten shelves with screws. Do not over tighten screws. Also make sure you center panels (E) and (F) on back of unit. Fasten panels (E) and (F) to unit with nails. It is good and cheap. Relatively easy to put together, but the screws are lousy, very soft. They don't work with my driver/drill. My recommendation, ditch the screws and go to the hardware store and purchase some good ones. It's worth it.

These shelves are decent but not great. I have bought and assembled a lot of them over the years. They're messy to get out of the box, with foam packaging that falls apart annoyingly, and there are some quirks to get used to as you build, but they get the job done so I keep buying them. Just clear a flat surface for assembly and cleanup.

A good shelf! A little small for books, but fits them pretty well if you lay them down on some shelves. It will do! Would be better as a mixed media shelf or just DVDs. It seems nice and sturdy though!

Does the job, affordable - doesn't seem to tip over. The instructions and setup are poorly designed - it's easy to mess up when putting it together - and having redo parts. (Ie things will only work if they're the exact right spot - when it doesn't make it that clear which orientation things should be at.)

Easy to put together and looks good. I didn't realize how many dvd's and vhs tapes we had. The backing appears to be laminated card board. I suggest drilling holes for the screws that secure the backing and make sure to keep the screw straight.

wrong color
description states it is tan/brown in color......it is GRAY. this is unsuitable for our home which is full of oak and pine wood finish furniture. the reason we ordered it was the color which would match the rest of our furniture. on my receipt for payment states "not valid for refund", so we just spent $87.43 for something we cannot use.

As for the drop down, we will work with Home Depot to change it to Gray/Brown (if that is an option), so thank you for your feedback. We want you to be happy of course and as the manufacturer have no control over Home Depot return policies. We would however like to offer you the opportunity to exchange the item with us directly. This is the worst thing I have ever purchased. They ship it in that stuff, the white stuff. It gets all over everything, it sticks to you and the product. Anyone that ships using this stuff, cares nothing about their customers. The directions for assembly are terrible. I have spent 2 hours and still do not have it together. I have put together many products, my neighbors pay me to put theirs together, but this is impossible. I would recommend you not purchase this product.
