This lock allows my wife and I to monitor and operate our front door lock via our smart phones. Packaging was professional, secure and everything was neatly presented. Install was super easy. All installation instructions are in the app (which is a great app btw). It provided photos and videos of each step making installation easier than fumbling around bulky papers. The lock works as advertised, no issues at all. I am able to lock/unlock the front door via Bluetooth when at home, or remotely via a bridge with the Wi-Fi (provided). The only issue was during set up the bridge stated via the application that an error occurred during setup, but it actually worked. This happened on my phone and my wife's phone, however there was no error and everything works properly. The only con would be the locking mechanism is rather bulky, however that is being pretty picky, cause it isn't that bad when you get used to the look of it. We also have the August doorbell camera which works great with this lock so we can see who is at the door before letting them in.

Received defective product, faceplate is not aligned properly as a result producing loud scraping sound of metal over metal. Looks like not rare issue with this lock. Customer support refused to exchange with different model or cover return shipping cost.

It uses Bluetooth to connect and normally a Bluetooth is more than 5 ft. So if you don't have an outlet near your door you better plan on running an extension cord over to your door.

After tech support, I still had problems connecting without bluetooth. The Wi-Fi bridge is about ten feet from lock - it connected and then after two days it disconnected. Will call up tech support again.

Easy to install. Downloaded app and worked perfectly.

The app makes setup and installation super easy for this lock. It walks through step by step on how to get connected in no time. It works well with smart devices, I have mine connected to both Google and Alexa. I would definitely recommend this lock.

Great value and works well.

Super easy to install, works great. Works with iHome and Google Assistant, as well as many others. Difficult to sync a 2nd lock to google assistant. Ended up linking Home to Google Assistant and now the 2nd lock works too, but could not set it up otherwise (kept seeing only the front door lock and trying to reassign to that one).

The directions were difficult to follow. We had to call customer support for installation help. However, customer support was excellent and they guided us through installation in a matter of minutes.

Ive had this lock for close to two years. It connects and drops to my network multiple times a day. Customer support tried unsuccessfully to help resolve. Beware. Tha newer August WIFI Pro lock has been performing well with no issues.

It was very easy to install. Only problem is my door won't lock. I think the door is misaligned. I figure it out.

I bought the product with great anticipation. I started by trying to install the app on my phone. A code was sent to use on the install. However many times i put the code in it disappeared and nothing happened. Very disappointed. When trying to contact support i got no help at all. The product looked very nice and I wanted to use it but could not. I wish I had been provided an ounce of support. Robert

The batteries died after a month. It locks up all the time and we have to be careful and make it it’s actually reading as closed or it won’t lock. Sometimes we can’t get it to unlock without pulling on the door.

While purchasing this lock I was excited until I got it home and had to call their customer service and they told me that I could not use a lock due to my phone so I give it a low rating due to that because that is something I should be said before this large purchase is made and taken home
