      A:  Yes it works with Xfinity home , the main reason I brought this was because my kids always forget their key and often leave the door unlock. I’ve added them all as users , problem solved. It also loaded the August app on my Apple Watch, and I can ask Siri to lock or unlock the door. Very pleased with this purchase.

        This lock allows my wife and I to monitor and operate our front door lock via our smart phones. Packaging was professional, secure and everything was neatly presented. Install was super easy. All installation instructions are in the app (which is a great app btw). It provided photos and videos of each step making installation easier than fumbling around bulky papers. The lock works as advertised, no issues at all. I am able to lock/unlock the front door via Bluetooth when at home, or remotely via a bridge with the Wi-Fi (provided). The only issue was during set up the bridge stated via the application that an error occurred during setup, but it actually worked. This happened on my phone and my wife's phone, however there was no error and everything works properly. The only con would be the locking mechanism is rather bulky, however that is being pretty picky, cause it isn't that bad when you get used to the look of it. We also have the August doorbell camera which works great with this lock so we can see who is at the door before letting them in.

        Design flaws and poor customer support
        Received defective product, faceplate is not aligned properly as a result producing loud scraping sound of metal over metal. Looks like not rare issue with this lock. Customer support refused to exchange with different model or cover return shipping cost.

          It uses Bluetooth to connect and normally a Bluetooth is more than 5 ft. So if you don't have an outlet near your door you better plan on running an extension cord over to your door.

          After tech support, I still had problems connecting without bluetooth....
          After tech support, I still had problems connecting without bluetooth. The Wi-Fi bridge is about ten feet from lock - it connected and then after two days it disconnected. Will call up tech support again.
