I love Behr solid color concrete stain
Have used it for 30 years and have never been disappointed.

Is NOT a true stain
I used this product on my porch and shed floor. As you can see it only “painted” the top layer of the concrete. Stain is suppose to penetrate. I had an object fall on the porch and floor and it scratched off the color!! I used their 880 primer but that didn’t make a difference in it staining the concrete. I prepped and etched as it states to.
I was of a waist a lot of money.

That is not the experience we want for our customers, and I want to help turn this around. Our Solid Color Concrete Stain is a film-forming stain that is not formulated to penetrate concrete. The coating should dry and be fully cured within about 14 days to be able to provide the proper protection and durability. During that time, we recommend being gentle on the coating to avoid any abrasions or touch-ups. To fix the scratch, I recommend removing any loose coating and making sure that the surface is clean and dry. If the area is bare, prime the concrete before touching up the spot. Getting used to the brighter color
The color is much brighter than in the catalog or online, however, I am getting used to it and now rather like it. It certainly is cheerful as winter descends! The color also seems to be deepening slightly as it cures. Still, I think Behr needs to either change the colors displayed in the catalog and online or adjust the actual stain colors to be more accurate. It is frustrating to end up with a very different color tone than you expected.

Colors are much lighter than in catalog
I initially applied the Terra Brick color to my patio concrete but found it to be much lighter & brighter than how it appears in the paper catalog or online. It was too pink for my taste. So, I did the second coat in the Deep Terra Cotta, which I like much better. It, too, however, is much lighter & brighter than in the catalog or online. Both of these colors use the "deep" base. I don't know how about the colors that use the white base. Otherwise, it went on easily and looks great!

Never used the stain before, never will again. Coverage is NOT 4-500 sf… false advertising. More like 1-150sf. Also, do NOT use 3/8” roller as advertised, use 3/4” roller or rougher. 5 gal job ended up 13 gals, 1 day job ended up 3 days with 2 more trips to HD. Paint dept has no idea other than to read the can and web site. Really, a silly experience.

Our Solid Color Concrete Stain should cover 400-600 sq. ft. per gallon, depending on the surface texture. We don't advise using rollers outside of the recommended 1/4"- 3/8" as that may impact the coverage and performance of the stain. Color is off
I opted for Coronado because it is a light brown, but it turned out too red. On the left is an extract of my driveway and on the right a picture of the color sample. World of difference between what you buy and what it turns out to be.
