Very bright bold beautiful colors!

I bought this to paint dining set chairs and table base. I thinned with water and used an hvlp pneumatic paint sprayer. First I cleaned, scuff sanded, and primed with Zinsser 1-2-3 spray primer. ( this I wouldve bought in a quart and sprayed too but silly me I thought spray cans would be better..took 1 1/2 times what I thought it would take...) Then I sprayed the paint. Goes on nice through a sprayer but also unthinned with a brush, (i liked a sponge brush) for a turned table leg. Still in progress but so far I love it!

Color is AWFUL - nothing vintage or mustard-y about it. Quality might be okay - but because the bright neon yellow is so glaring, I couldn't say. It was so bad, I took it back to my local HD and showed them the photo, asking if they could check the mix and add pigment to please help. The service technician in the paint department put a sample on a wooden stick, dried it, then looked at it under the orange HD lights and said "It looks like mustard to me." USELESS. Very disappointed.

I’ve used chalk paint before but never white. If you aren’t going to really distress your furniture piece, just know white will show every little flaw in the wood. I redid an old dresser and every little flaw was very obvious. Once distressed it looked good. I did the majority of the dresser using a paintbrush and then did the final drawer using a roller. The roller took way more coats of paint and it turned out darker looking in comparison to the paintbrush method. Still a good paint just make sure you use the same method when painting

First coat went on with no problems whatsoever but since this paint does not cover in one coat I had to do another. This is where it got ugly. The paint would not go on! It sat on top and wouldn’t move, leaving me with chunky, noticeable areas! I stopped before it got worse and walked away before I lost my temper. I only pray I can fix this.

Love this paint! Have painted several pieces of furniture with it and love the results. Goes on smooth and has a nice chalky feel after it dries completely. Be sure to let it dry well in between coats. Try it, you’ll love it!

I use behr chalk for 90% of all my furniture. Use the wax right after and I love exposing the top wood of my furniture piece leaving authenticity on it. Then add polyurethane satin to seal. I love my furniture to look classy and Behr does it for me. And I'm not limited with colors.

I have been using behr chalk paint for 3 years, it's excellent for painting furniture, vintage style, farm, ect. Right after using my chalk paint. I finishing it with behr wax. I deeply recommend ppl that refurbish furniture to try it.

Bought this antique secretary & decided to paint it. This paint was easy to apply & a gorgeous color! Very pleased with the result! Will definitely buy again!

Loved this paint and color, easy to apply and my end product was phenomenal.

Just wanted to give a heads up that when it says the color doesn't necessarily match what you see online it's facts! The color Memory Lane ended up being a very light blueish, lilac color and not so much sea blue color shown.

The chalk paint looked amazing, we did seal it with a polycrylic coating and it is holding up well.

I used the shade Bridal Bouquet to paint my piano. I am so happy with the results. The color is beautiful and exactly what I wanted. The only issue was I had to do 4 coats total to get it perfectly opaque, but it was worth it.

The color was absolutely perfect. Not to dark but very light. Definitely can tell it was a light gray. It looked white in the can, but gray on the furniture I painted.

Bought two quarts to paint several pieces of furniture by spraying them with a paint gun (Wagner Flexio 3000). I diluted 300ml of this paint with roughly 1 tbsp of water, though I likely didnt even have to apply water to the mix. It applied very smooth and evenly. The only imperfections I experienced were due to my lack of thorough surface prep and applying too thick of a coat in a couple spots (this resulted in some orange peel texture).

I love this chalk paint color! Not only is this paint great value for the price, but you can’t beat a color like this. I was looking for a French blue and this was a close comparison. I did add some chalk paint white (vintage linen) to this to make it slightly even closer to a “French linen” color. If you are deciding between this paint or an expensive one— definitely just get this one! Great coverage and went on smooth. Easy to apply

I used green silk chalk paint..it got good coverage, pan I didn't like a color a lot so used dark wax ..and then it looked really good.

I have not used other chalk paints so I don't have a comparison but I did need to thin this out with water to spread smoother and used general finishes HP top coat to seal.

Chalk paint is fantastic

After looking at several videos and reading many directions, I purchased the Behr Chalk Decorative Paint in Timeless Blue to refinish a cedar chest. The paint was very thin ( like regular latex paint) and not "buttery and creamy" at all even after shaking the can and stirring. After applying the paint with the Behr Chalk Paint Brush I could see the brush strokes. After applying the clear wax, the brush strokes were even more noticeable. Not really happy with the end result. Would like to know if this can be salvaged?

This is the 5th piece of bedroom furniture. I switched the color this time to a custom color like french linen and put 2 coats in. Then I mixed my own wax with my leftover Behr Dove color I had from my other pieces in a 4:3 ratio and brushed it on like websites say but that made it blotchy. I put a 2nd coat of wax on with a car wax pad and I liked it better but my sister said it looked busy. So I got out the mineral spirits and buffed everything removing most of the wax and left a slight whitewash look behind. This project kicked my butt. I wish I had a smaller piece I had wanted the same color, but I guess I am pleased with the forgiving nature of these paints so that even if you think you messed it up and might have to start completely over which is no big deal, fear not, forge forward and things will work out. If my custom wax had not looked blotchy I would not have gotten the mineral spirits out and ended up with pretty much what I had intended in the first place, just didn't anticipate the stops to serendipitous way to get there. Took only 3 hours to paint with chalk paint, but waxing and buffing probably took another 3-4 hours off and on over 2 days total. Not too bad. 30 year old armoir now looks much newer.

I got this paint tinted to Behr Dove and painted my dressers and nightstands. I used natural wax as a sealer. Turned out great and really lightened up my dark room since all my 30 year old furniture was cherry and walls are dark brown and beige. So much happier with contrasting furniture now.

Smooth application, great coverage, quick dry, no bad smells, easy clean up, gorgeous color selections.. what more do you need? I prepped with TSP, two solid coats of OtterTail, sealed with minwax paste in natural. Perfection!

I’ve been using Behr chalk paint for a while now. Love all the color selections and definitely love the “White Moderne”. I painted my kitchen cabinets with it a they look fabulous!
