Typically, our Premium Plus Paint will cover in two coats, while covering darker colors and porous surfaces may require additional coats. Hi Richard, thank you for your review. I'm sorry to hear the paint is way too thick. I assure you this is not the experience we want for our customers. The product should have a creamy consistency for a smooth application. Stirring it for 3-5 minutes helps it return to its normal consistency. If that does not help, using a new can is best. Additionally, if spraying, we recommend using an airless sprayer with a .015-.021 tip and the product can be thinned with up to 8 oz of water per gallon.
