The screw holes to attach the extension to the clamp edge did not align properly to allow for secure attachment. I had to tape the two pieces together with painter's tape and run my bare circular saw up against the edge to rip cut plywood since the clamp edge on its own is only long enough for crosscuts. Basically the whole set is useless because the clamp edge will not extend securely.

This Bora clamp deluxe just make my jobs so much easier I do carpentry, cabinets, and other wood work, now I can make my cuts much more straight, or in any angle, the with extension you can cut a plywood 8 feet long or you can take the extension off and do smaller cuts, the saw plate is included and so easy to attach a circular saw, you can move it to different measurements positions to make your cuts, definitely I will recommend this Bora clamp deluxe for smaller or big jobs

I found this guide to be very solid as I did not see any measurable deflection when using it and it worked great as a guide. However, not a great track saw substitute. Using either the Saw Plate or just the guide, I found the cuts to be true. I also found that it helped when using the Saw Plate to use a dry lubricant (I used PTFE) on the guide as this allows the saw move much easier on the guide. The guide itself is easy to set up and when locked down it doesn’t move. Using the Saw Plate ensures that your cuts will be true. (I have been known to drift away from a guide.) I think the clamps that allow the guide to be used at an angle across a piece of plywood were very clever and worked great. However, I found the lack of instructions for setting it us to use like a track saw to be lacking to say the least. The instructions were just pictures without any written explanations of any of the steps. Consequently, it took me quite a while to get the saw(s) set up to see how they worked. In addition, it requires a metric allen wrench to set up a saw on the Saw Plate and this wasn’t included so I had to file down another allen wrench to fit. I set put the ‘non chip strip’ on the guide and tried the saw with 24-tooth blade and had minimal tear-out. However, when I switch to the saw with the 60-tooth blade I did have tear-out. Not sure why. I joined the two sections of the guide together to see how that worked and found the joint was not exact, and I had to file the bottom of the lead edge of the Saw Plate so it would not hang up on the joint. I recommend this product an the basis that you will get straight true cuts using the guide particularly when using the Saw Plate. I would have rated it higher if it in fact eliminated tear-out and the instructions were easier to follow. I also found that the nuts that are held in position when tightening the guides on the Saw Plate can rotate as they are not a snug fit in the slots they sit in.

This clamp will work well for long cuts as it will reach across a 48 inch width and It comes with an extension for a full 8 foot use. The clamp easily slides in the track and you can adjust pressure by careful placement. The clamps are only 3/4 inch thick so it works well with most stock. It also comes with a sled to mount your circular saw on. It is designed to hold most by simple adjustments. All of this can be a challenge to figure as the instructions are broken to simple drawings and no written text. There are also some clamps included which are designed for making long angle cuts.

I got this to help me cut large pieces of plywood for some upcoming woodworking projects. I expect this to work perfectly in assisting me in handling full sheets of plywood, OSB, MDF, and anything else that comes in large sheets - can't wait to get started this weekend. The track and attachments are very well made and the instructions included will help greatly when setting this up and using it.

This tool is like having a portable track saw. I most recently used it for ripping and cross cutting sheets of plywood and 4’x8’ PVC trim sheets. And using it with the caddy/sled/sawplate/whatever-you-want-to-call-it, which attaches to the saw, sure beats my previous method. No more fighting an imperfect 2x4 to stay flush. The caddy fits on two of my 7 1/4” saws (one corded, one cordless), as well as my little 6 1/2” cordless. At first I struggled to attach the saws, but that was because I wasn’t lifting the blade. Once attached, you lower the saw blade to make sure there’s reasonable cutting depth (keep in mind the caddy's clamps should be placed as to not interfere with the saw's motor/housing etc... I made that mistake too). That brings me to the paper instructions…. Would have been nice if they were clearer. Bora’s website wasn’t any help either… I had to goto youtube to figure it out. There are a lot of fine adjustments required to get the saw perfectly straight in the caddy, so I’ve left my corded saw in it so it's ready to go for the next project. The guide comes in two pieces, which when combined provides 100”. Keep in mind when you only use the main piece you’ll get a little less than a 50” cut due to the clamps on each end. Would have been nice if this guide had quick change/setup capability to go from 55” to 100”. Assembly to 100" requires removing a few screws and then screwing the ends together. Of course, then you have to reverse the process to take it apart for storage. I greatly appreciate the hanging hooks on both guides since I can get them out of the way when not in use. The 50” and 100” non-chip adhesive tape strip, is a nice idea in theory. In practice, it’s useless in my opinion unless you (a) adhere it perfectly straight (although it will be kinda straight if not perfect after the first cut); and (b) make only straight cuts. If you do a beveled cut you’ll cut the tape unless you flip the whole sled contraption around to the other side of the track…. and doing so changes the blade’s position. I haven’t tried the two additional track clamps for angle cutting yet because I haven’t needed angular cuts. To attach the track clamps you have to remove the ends and slide them onto the track. Overall this seems well built and it’s a very helpful tool for the DIYer like me who wants the advantages of a track saw. I’m pleased with it.

Sometimes the cut you want to make is difficult if not impossible on a table saw, especially if you are working alone. With this I can rip a full sheet into workable sections safely and comfortably on sawhorses. Plus if you are like me and can't cut a straight line to save your life with a circular saw this will do that over and over with minimal effort. The quick clamp system is fast and easy to use on 90 degree cuts and you and attach the tracks with clamps at any angle if you need. Once you set the sled to know the offset of the blade the marks on the sled let you know if you are on your line and ready to cut. It breaks down into a small package and takes little room to store. I would say it is a good alternative to a table saw especially if storage space is at a premium.

BORA NGX 5-Piece Clamp Edge Deluxe Set – Almost everyone who has used a tracksaw appreciates its accuracy and clean cutting results, but their price tags are high and maybe prohibitive for the occasional user and Do-It-Yourself-er. This Bora set is a good option to avoid paying $500 and more for a good tracksaw. It does require a decent circular saw and a good blade that isn’t included, but most woodworkers already have one. Once the saw is mounted on the sled and the track clamped to the material it is easy to get straight clean cross-cuts and rips. I tested it by cross-cutting a piece of ½” plywood. The results were a smooth straight cut with almost no splintering. The track comes in two sections that can be combined to cut 8’ long boards and full-length plywood. I did wipe some silicone on the track to make the sled slide smoother but other than that it works great. The one issue I have is with the assembly instructions. They are all illustrations of steps to install and set up your saw and assemble the track etc. The problem is there isn’t any text to explain what you are doing or how to do it. Just pictures. Going through the process was some trial and error. For instance, it shows mounting the saw to the sled, but doesn’t tell you that the sled needs to be on the track for blade clearance. I included a photo that illustrates adjustments for the saw that I assume is for blade clearance. I found it hard to see why the two lines on the left are wrong and the lines on the right are correct.

I really could have used this when I was building 4 barn doors for my basement. But I have two more to go and this will make the job much easier. It's a pretty simple setup - the bars clamp easily to the work piece. And if it's just straight cuts you can get away without the sled, just keep your saw pressed up against the track. The sled is a little tricky to attach straight but that's more due to me being new to using a track saw. Couple of YouTube videos later and it was easy to figure out. And using the sled will ensure the saw doesn't stray. All parts are very sturdy, very little flex in the bars. And the additional track clamps are a great addition - you can use bar clamps or C clamps, but to have clamps purpose built for this is much better. All in all, this is hands down better than screwing in scrap pieces of wood to serve as my guide and then having to fill holes. My only complaint, like others, is the instructions. Definitely not the easiest to follow.

I love the clamp and rails. I was impressed with this edge clamp set. I have wanted one for a while now and was happy to get this one. The 50" rails (2) have a good weight to them and when connected to make a 100" single rail is very sturdy. I gave this set 4 stars because I didn't like the setup of the saw attachment. I watched a couple of You Tube videos about connecting the saw to the plate and then to the rails. The directions included with the set also were a little vague for the first time user. After watching the videos, I decided to just use the rails. I do plan on using the saw plate attachment in the future, but didn't want to take the time to figure out all the measurements. I will update my rating to 5 if I find the saw plate makes a great improvement. I did like the two extra clamps that are included in this set. I'm planning on building a shed in the near future and already see that some of the cuts will be improved with the versatility of these two clams to secure the rails. I am happy with this set and will be using it many times in my future. It's a great buy and I want to learn how to use the saw plate. I think it will be a welcome piece once I figure out how to use it.

I set this up today to test it out, First I removed my Craftsman circular saw from another brand track saw base. Then I installed it on the Bora base using the instructions that came with the set. First problem was the instructions are not the best but still able to figure things out. I set the tack across my table saw and placed the base on the track then the saw on the base. This let me adjust it to the track so the saw is not skewed on the base. After installing the saw on the base I installed the tear out strips. They were very easy to install and fit perfect to the track. Then I placed the base with saw on the track again and checked that the blade would ride along the edge of the tear out strip all the way down both pieces of track.. Its now ready to use. I took a piece of 3/4" red oak plywood that was 76" long and 24 1/2" wide and cut 1/2" off the whole langht so I had 76" X 24". I don't have alot of room to work so I would rip my sheets of ply out side using my truck and a saw horse. but this time I just layed it across my table saw and clamped it down and cut it. The two piece of track connected together and the bora track layed down and clamped with the slide clamp only it was solid as a rock it was not moving. I placed the base and saw on the track and made a perfect cut and my work piece was nice and clean no tear out at all. Now with it 24" wide I needed 2 pieces 28" long so I took off the extension track and just use the 1 piece to cut across the width to cut off 28". Now the left over piece I took and cut off another 28" langth with my table saw then I compared the 2 pieces and they both were perfect and match up they both were square to each other. I find the base rides on the track very smooth and it does not skew any when you stop and start again. There is no slop in the base when riding along the track. I did not use the 2 track clamps at this time but thay are great I checked them out and thay adjust great they fit the track with no problems and I know I will use them alot in the future. Now with all that said the only thing I can see a problem with is the nuts on the bottom of the base. when I went to adjust the lock down track on the base the nuts turned in the grove. This should be a long nut made with flat stock so it can't turn in the grove not a hex nut that will ware the plastic if its tighten and loosen to maney times. For me its ok I am leaving the saw set up. Even with the one flaw above this is easer and better than the other brand I have been using that I had to go buy clamps to hold it down to keep it from walking on cuts. Its also harder to set up for long cuts so The Bora clamp edge deluxe set is a Plus plus for me. Now all I need is a Bora Centipede so I dont have to use my truck as a table.

BORA 5-Piece Clamp Edge Saw Guide. Well built and nice features. When the extension is added, it can handle an eight foot piece of plywood. I dropped this product down a point because the instructions could use a lot more detail. Especially on installing the non-chip strips. Took me a while and a phone call to figure it out. First, straighten the strips out as much as possible. Second, the blue covering needs to be removed from the double sided tape. If your not careful, you'll remove the tape along with the blue covering. One strip on each guide. Make sure the strip is on the same side of each guide. The side of the strip that has the tape goes on one side of the bottom of the guides (lower step on bottom). When the strip is installed, the tape side of the strip should be level with the upper step of the guide. The other edge of the strip should overhang the edge of the guide. The saw should be used on the side of the guide with the strip attached (overhang). Mounting the saw to the saw plate was easier and is adjustable in all directions. I stored my saw with the plate attached. The adjustible clamp holds the board tightly and gives you a ridgit, straight guide to cut on. Can be used with or without the sawplate. Using the saw plate is easier.

I have wanted a track saw to breakdown plywood for a long time, but I could not justify the cost for a tool that I would use only a few times per year. The Bora NGX 5-Piece Clamp Edge Deluxe Set is well designed, extra sturdy and easy to use. The Bora NGX Set is less than one-third the cost and functions just as well as a track saw; therefore I think it is the perfect alternative for the DIYer who cannot afford a track saw. The BORA NGX clamping system is super strong and will not slip. I was especially pleased with the track clamps that came with the set, they allow the clamps to be used to make cuts at angles other than 90 degrees. Joining the two 50 inch straight edges together with the track clamps allow for angle cuts even on sheets of plywood. A phillips head screwdriver is required to connect the two straight edges together, but even though this may be a hassle, it serves to insure that the straight edge is indeed straight. I was impressed that the set even came with 2 Rolls of 55-inch self-adhesive non-chip strips used for reducing top edge tear-out. I was disappointed with the instructions that came with the set, I found them to be almost useless. I also had to look through several tool bags to find a #3 allen wrench which is required to move the brackets that hold the skill saw on the saw plate—it seems that a #3 allen wrench could be included in the set. I did find a wonderful video on YouTube from WorkshopAddict that does an excellent job of showing me all of the features of the BORA NGX set. I would definitely recommend the BORA NGX 5-Piece Clamp Edge Deluxe Set for anyone who already has a skill saw and is looking for a low cost alternative to a track saw.

Outstanding way to make smooth straight cuts across sheeting, like plywood, particle board and paneling. The saw plate is well designed to accommodate many different manufacturers circular saws. I was easily able to attach the 2 saws that I have. The saw plate slides along the saw tracks to provide for easily sawing sheeting. The first section of track is long enough to fit across up to 50". The second section of track fits on the end of the first to extend the length of cut to 100". 4 screws are used to attach the 2 sections together. The tracks are made from rigid aluminum and the saw plate is made of plastic. even though it was made of plastic it was durable, rigid and held my 2 saws tightly in place. The only negative I found was somewhat vague installation instructions. Their website didn't provide a lot more detail. Their customer service did provide a link to video and I ran across a really good one on the internet. Try searching Bora NGX.

Boro NGX 5-Piece Clamp Edge Deluxe Set is an excellent way to cut sheet-goods and other tasks. The set consists of two guide rail pieces to handle 4 x 8 panels. One aluminum guide is used to cross-cut the four foot side with a 50-inches long track. For the rip cut, add the second 50-inch guide extension to the first guide for a 100-inch length, a little over 8-feet long. The two set of tracks are held together securely with metal bars and four screws. The track is then laid on top of the supported panel and two edge clamps on each side, under the guide, are easily tightened to give a rock solid grip onto the panel edges. Two included track clamps are also included if you want an angle cut, any angle can be cut up to 90-degrees is possible. You can cut full 4 x 8 panels or smaller sizes easily with this setup. The circular saw making the cut can run along the edge of the aluminum track guide or attached with the provided saw sled that slips into the aluminum guide securely in a groove. Once the saw is mounted to it runs along a groove in the guide preventing the saw from wandering, assuring a straight cut.. It works similar to a track saw. Included in the set used with the sled plate are two lengths of 3M non-chip strips that attach to the bottom for riding on the panel. It minimizes any top edge tear-out for a cleaner cut. This is useful for bonded veneers; although not needed for other panels like MDF or construction grade plywood. The sled is made of sturdy plastic with honeycomb reinforcement that is rigid, doesn't flex. The saw is held-down with hold-down screws and clips, can be positioned and removed easily. Bora also offers, optionally, other tool sled plates to hold routers and a jig saws that work with the track guide, too. I own a portable table-saw and continue to prefer Bora's system for breaking down sheet-goods resting on two saw horses. It is safer than handling large sheets alone on the table saw. It gives me more control making the cut safe and clean.

Have you ever had to rip a piece of material and tried to do it with just a steady hand? It’s really hard to get a straight accurate cut. The Bora five piece clamp set with straight edge gives you the ability to get a straight clean cut. You can do four or eight foot material and if the clamp set is difficult to figure out there is a web site available with instructions on the proper use of this handy tool

Bought this specifically to cut up plywood safely. The Bora NGX clamp definitely does this. For the price, this is a great little unit. It cuts spot on every time. Like any tool, you have to understand how it works and be aware of a few things to ensure it performs properly. On the NGX clamp, here are some things to keep in mind. Note, these are not in any way flaws. 1.) It does take about 15 minutes to connect your circular saw and dial the settings in to ensure adequate space between the cutting blade and the material. I have a DeWalt DWE575 and dialed it so the clamp is exactly 9/16 from my cut line. 15 minutes is not a lot of time, its easy. Do a few practice cuts. I recommend getting it dialed in to an exact measurement and there are markings on the slide piece to help you do this. Also recommend, clamp the top first, then do the 2 side clamps. 2.) In the times I tried to use the right angle guide, it has not performed well. I bought the Premier set mainly because it was the only item available as the other parts (bought separately) were out of stock. In other words, I wouldn't buy the Premier for this one part. 3.) When cutting, be sure to put pressure on the right side of the guide. This ensures there is less blade deflection as you cut. 4.) Some folks complain the clamp down slide gets stuck. The trick is this... The gray handle and the orange edge has to come together in order to slide it. Simple. If it's not sliding... just push them toward each other, you'll feel a little click and it slides great. 5.) Using the extension piece takes practice to ensure it's spot on straight once the 4 screws are screwed in tightly. I find that screwing them in a little then pushing both slide components together and then screwing in the screws fully works best. Always check to make sure this is straight, common sense. 6.) Some folks have mentioned the plastic construction of the base plate and clamp down. I'm not too worried about this. It's pretty decent grade plastic. You'll definitely get a few years out of this tool before anything breaks. If it does, just replace the part. Every tool wears. 7.) The instructions... ha, this is one area that could use improvement. However, if you know how to use a circular saw and have actually changed out blades, the setup is pretty self-explainatory. Plus there's plenty of videos out there. To close, even when I do get a table saw, I will still use the Bora NGX to cut full size plywood down to a more managable size. It is the safest way to do this and watching videos of people doing this on a table saw is pretty funny when you look at their eyes cause they know are uncomfortable.

It's straight and it locks. Feels pretty solid but doesn't slide that smoothly. It can give one a false sense of security in thinking you are making straight cuts but you will need to double or triple check before you cut. When paired with the bora saw base plate it is even more the case to triple check your lines, measurements and fasteners as things can get out of adjustment after each pass. Overall can produce straight and accurate cuts but it will take a long time and adjustment(s).

So glad I have one of these. While I admittedly haven't used it much, it has been great the handful of times I have put it to use. Cuts now come out perfectly straight, which was always a struggle when simply following a line or using a makeshift guide out of a straight edge and clamps. I also own the saw plate for this guide but wasn't sure that the blade and edge were parallel nor convinced that the saw would stay firmly in place, so I never actually used it to cut anything. One of these days I'll give it another shot. Back to the guide:. There's 50" between the jaws, so cutting a 4x8 piece of plywood across the shorter side isn't a problem. Once tightened down, they grip the edges really well - no issues with them coming loose. Now, I'm not sure if this is a design issue or a feature, but once you loosen the clamp, you kind of have to fiddle with it in order to move the jaw. Kind of annoying but not a deal breaker. Another thing that bothers me is the fact that the critical parts (jaws, clamp) are made out of plastic. Should be fine for regular homeowner use, but longevity is a concern. One thing to note is that the clamp sticks out close to 3" when it is tightened - just something to consider as this may be a problem if you have to set this up on the floor.

This is a great tool. I've been fiddling for years with just clamping a long piece of straight wood to plywood when I need to make cuts with any precision. So, three clamps and a bulky piece of wood. It works, but it's a pain. This tool allows you to clamp on sheet goods up to 4 feet wide and get cutting right away. It seems to clamp on consistently at a right angle, but I'm a bit compulsive, so I do check each time. You will have to do some calculation to know how far to set the clamp from where you need to cut--you have to calculate some offset from your saw's guide. Unless--you can get the Bora Saw Plate that fits with this. If you have the saw plate, you fit your circular saw to the plate, attach an additional guide to the clamp edge, and after setup, you can set the guide to where you want your cuts. This speeds up the process like crazy, and basically gives you the capabilities of a track saw from your circular saw. Great stuff.

Excellent! I've been using home-made straight edges and boards that I'd screw down to a table, run my circular saw down it and sort of get me some straight cuts. But, it was practically laughable! Not to mention dangerous! Been wanting one of the saw guides for long time now! I got the Bora, I love it and I also wonder why I waited sooo long to buy me one. Just not tooo smart on my end! This one is an all aluminum straight edge, thick rigid plastic for the rest. Def not JUNK! When I lock it in place it don't give, or "walk" on you, so to speak. Solid, thick plastic clamps! The aluminum is thick, I just don't see it warping, bending or nothing like that anytime soon, at all. The saw slides right on down for a perfect straight cut every cut I've made so far! I can't understand what took me sooo long finally get me one of these saw guides! Anyway, it's simple to use, like they say, you only lock it from one side and no going to the other side of your table or whatever, no wasting time and walking around! Adjusts easy, none of that binding or anything like that while trying to adjust clamp! This is big help if you got a few cuts to make, if you just want a perfect cut each time or if you're like me and don't want to break out your table saw for everything a table saw is needed for! This turns my circular saws into table saws, simply and quickly! I love it. Did I mention I just can't believe it took me sooo long to finally get me one of these??! If you're on the fence about buying you one, I'd get this Bora, it's sooo worth it, you'll be glad you got you one, especially the "Bora" saw guide. They're def high end! Should anything go bad or anything crazy happen with mine I'll update my review, but so far, so excellent!

This is one of those tools I never knew I needed until I tried it. I've always used a couple of clamps and something with a "straight" edge to try to get a straight line. That involved finding something straight and of course running from side to side of the sheet to adjust the clamp. This tool takes all that extra effort away. Set it where you need it and quickly clamp it at one end, then cut. Done. It's very light, very easy to maneuver, and the adjustable clamp slides easily in the track. Pair the clamp with Bora Saw Plate accessory (https://www.homedepot.com/p/BORA-NGX-55-in-Saw-Plate-with-Non-Chip-Strip-544001/311799074), and move your saw effortlessly along the track. These clamps and accessories basically turn your circular saw into a unisaw!

The Bora NGX Clamp Edge Saw Guide is a good way to get a straight line cut on sheets of plywood or even other sheet products. The basic construction of this tool is of an aluminum extrusion and a plastic clamping system that quickly adjusts to any length of material up to about 50 inches. The actual clamp is easy to use with a large clamping handle. This saw guide is lightweight and once clamped to sheet of material doesn't stand high enough to interfere with those saws where the motor hangs out beyond the base plate of the saw. This means you can cut with either side of saw. I prefer to hang the motor side of the saw onto the larger (clamped side) of the material but you must decide which way the saw is going to go because the measurement from the edge of the saw's base plate is different on each side. This brings up another concern in that the line to be cut has to be marked and the saw guide has to be off-set by that amount. My easy fix for that is to cut one or two small blocks of wood, measuring exactly the amount from the edge of the saw's base plate to the blade, then use them to mark the location where your saw guide will be placed and secured. So that brings us to a point where you want to ask why not just snap a chalk line mark and follow it. I have to say that this clamp edge saw guide will provide a straighter cut than following a chalk line but it will take a lot more time and the results may not be worth it for many users. I want to also mention that Bora NGX has an accessory saw plate (Part #544001) that allows attachment of most circular saws and slides over the top of this saw guide that will give results similar to a track saw. I have included a photo of that product below. Overall I think that this is a good product that will provide excellent results when used properly but it requires much more time than using the good old chalk line.

I have used a few different clamp edge guide before so I am familiar with this type of product. This one is the best one that I have used by far. For me, it is the clamping action that makes it stand out. This may seem simple but other manufacturers have not gotten this perfect in my opinion. The clamp holds very tight without squeezing the material too much. Others will either slip because they are not tight enough or they will be so tight that either the edge guide or the material is bowed. Bora gets it perfect!

I am very impressed with the BORA NGX Clamp Edge Saw Guide did not bend or bow while I was making cuts. The aluminum is heavy enough to be strong but the tool is light enough to use easily, this has become my go to strait edge clamping saw guide. The guide slides and adjusts from one end and the clamp holds firmly and did not come loose while I was using it.

This Bora 50-inch Clamp Edge Saw Guide is a welcome addition to my woodworking tools. I bought a similar small clamp edge type guide many years ago at a woodworking show in Phoenix, but this Bora clamp edge is far superior to that one. First of all, the Bora NGX is 50 inches long, so it can clamp all the way across a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood. (My old clamp edge guide is only 26 inches long, so it has limited use as a saw guide.) The Bora clamp edge aluminum rail is slightly more than 1/2 inch thick, so it is very sturdy. The main rail of the Bora NGX clamp edge is made of extruded aluminum and the clamping mechanism and end stop are made of some kind of sturdy molded thermo-plastic. When released the clamping end slides easily in the double track slots of the aluminum rail. When you get it in position against the edge of your plywood, a simple flick of the T-handle locks the clamp edge in place ready to guide your saw. Bora sells a separate NGX saw plate that can ride on top of the clamp edge rail or you can just allow for your saw's blade offset and let the saw's edge be guided by the clamp edge rail. My only complaint (which is a pet peave of mine) is that Bora slapped a UPC sticker on the clamp edge rail where it meets the cardboard packaging (see photo) that was very hard to remove. It took me 15 minutes of soaking the UPC label remnants with WD40 and scrubbing with paper towels to remove the label adhesive without damaging the aluminum rail's finish. Sterlite, who makes plastic storage boxes, manages to make labels that stick to the product but are very easy to remove without leaving adhesive residue, so why can't other manufacturer's follow their lead?

Precise quick sheet cutting guide. Light, strong, well made and easy to use. Clamping NGX guide and bonus exact fitting saw plate allow time saving cuts. Especially for equal multiple sheet cutting. Clear consise instructions. Initial saw plate set up took a few minutes but once done allowed quick easy detach and reattaching of saw with quick release clamps. Guide clamps to hold securely for use with saw or saw plate. First task was squaring up plywood work surface, guide performed well, easily met expectations. Easy to set perpindicular using square then clamping in place for an accurate cut. The only issue was with the saw plate cut line indicator detaching after use. Likely knocked out. Inserting opposite way, more to my liking in use, care needs to be given when handling saw plate to prevent loss of cut line indicators. Selected the NGX guide for beadboard sheet cutting. Highly satisfied with guides ability to hold panel securely for precise clean cuts. Backing clamp slightly off panel allowed grip without bending for precise clean cuts. Guide quickly proved valuable for accurate quick sheet cutting but also as a straight edge and extension for level adding more value to the economical saw guide. A great DIY tool that performs very well. Highly recommend.

This is a strong, easy to operate clamp with a versatile saw guide attachment (Model 544050, Made in China). The clamp is 50” in length, long enough to use on a 4' x 8' piece of plywood to cross-cut it. The clamp adjusts by sliding the clamp end, but the mechanism must be FULLY disengaged or it will not slide. As with most clamps, the edge will not automatically be square to the clamping surface so use a square to align the clamp. The clamping force is STRONG, and takes a bit of muscle to lock/unlock the clamp. It's enough to actually bend 1/4” plywood (see photo) so it will hold tightly during use. The clamp has two parallel slots on it that are perfect for holding 1/4” bolts, including toilet bolts, meaning the clamp can be used with homemade jigs. There is a nice hanging hole at the top of the clamp. This clamp is much better than either of the other two 50” clamps I own and will get a lot of use. I normally cut plywood by just sliding my circular saw against the edge of the clamp, and usually don't drift from the clamp. The Edge Saw Guide virtually eliminates the chance of drift by riding BOTH sides of the clamp. The base adjusts for most saws (right or left-handed) and locks onto the saw with three clamps. Adjustment is a one-time task, requiring a 3mm hex (allen) wrench, which was not supplied. Unfortunately for me, there was no way to adjust the clamping bolts to engage on a flat spot on my saw base, which has a grid pattern, so the grip was tenuous at best. The guide comes with a strip of plastic to be installed as a “non-chip” edge, preventing the wood from splintering along the cut (similar to a zero-clearance throat plate on a table saw). I chose not to install mine, as it limits the clamps use as an edge guide for other saws and/or router. The clamp and guide work perfectly without it, but the cut itself might not be as clean on the upper surface. For my money I would buy the clamp and skip the Edge Saw Guide, especially since it doesn't fit my particular circular saw as well as it might fit others. It's a good quality accessory, but doesn't add enough value for me.

This clamp edge guide is a fantastic addition to any shop! It is surprisingly light weight, made from extruded aluminum, but very durable. The clamps are a strong plastic material, and the clamp surfaces that touch the material to be cut have a rubber, non-abrasive grip surface. The clamp is ~50", easily able to be used to rip a full sheet of plywood. One of the clamp ends slides on an internal track making it easily adjustable. That means the clamp can be used to cut any width of wood from ~48" to 3" wide. Overall a very useful tool for making long, straight cuts!

Excellent saw guide, an important tool if you dont own a table saw or cant lug a large sheet of plywood across a table saw. It is very easy to use and the clamp is strong. The clamp has a temporary setting before you lock it into place. It locks very tight and may bow up so you should leave the clamp a little loose before cinching it down. It holds onto the piece nicely. For sawing, all you need to do is know the distance from the edge of you saw plate to the cut (mine is 4") and set the clamp that distance away. The clamp can fit easily across 4 foot sheet and is durable as well. It can also be used for scoring drywall. This is a great tool to have in the workshop and hangs easily on a nail for storage. In the past I have used my most straight piece of wood and clamps. This saw guide saves me time and hassle.
