These work for me.
I purchased this set on line the first of April, 2019. I really liked the picture as I was looking for tables that added some metal to break up so much wood in in living room with hard wood floors. I was sure this set would be exactly what we needed, just the right pieces. After some very easy assembly I stood back and could not believe the top of tables looked so cheap. My husband sanded it very lightly, then applied a dark stain and sealer. What a difference. Now I love it, it is a perfect match with our dark leather sectional. Also would like to mention we got these tables on sale so feel very happy with purchase.
