I bought better built products in the past, they were made in the USA. This box is made in Mexico which ok that's fine, but it's welds were burned through creating through holes. I called better built. They said just take it back to the store. Poor quality, poor customer service for better built.

Well built, works as expected. The mounting screws supplied are to small, used larger ones other than that would buy it again.

I am only beginning to weld and my welds are better than the ones on this box. Clearly It is clear that they did not have the temperature high enough when the did the inner seams, than way too high when they did the actuator bracket as it all but through the metal. I'll keep it, as it not worth the hassle to send it back, but I will be grinding, welding, and reinforcing this thing to get it to where I need it to be. If you're looking for a little do it yourself project this is the box for you. If not go elsewhere.

In the words of some others; this thing is smaller than I imagined. Nevertheless, I was going to be okay with that, until I went to place it on the A-frame. Despite my measurements from the website, as well as the A-frame, I was wrong. The angle of the box barely aligns with the inside edge of the A-frame. Only one bolt could possibly engage; leaving the flanks and front, unsupported. If you have the right size of a frame; then you'll be good. I'm planning on returning mine to the local Home Depot store.

Very good product for the price, was delivered on time. Fit trailer well. Was one of very few lower profile boxes available.

The toolbox is light grade aluminum but definitely worth buying if you don't need the heavier gage metal. I'm using it on my trailer for storage and as long as no one sits on it, it should work out great. Didn't want to spend $400 or more just to store the straps & misc. gear.

Box fits my trailer nicely. Excellent price and easy to attach. I used two pieces of 2" channel iron cut to fit under the upper lip of the trailer frame rails (side to side). I drilled two bolt holes thru each piece (4 total) and bolted the box to the channel iron thru those holes. That basically clamped the box to the upper lip of the frame rail so I didn't have to drill or weld on the trailer frame. Had to put some temporary washers under the trailer jack to improve the clearance of the jack handle over the top of box. It missed it without the washers but not by much. I plan to install a spacer plate to replace the washers. I drilled 1/4" holes in each bottom corner of the box to drain any water that may accidentally get inside it. Shouldn't happen but you never know.

Fit my trailer perfectly and the installation was a snap!

I needed an aluminum tool box for my utility trailer that would not interfere with the tongue handle. I liked the diamond plate construction that matches my trailer. The opening shock rod is another plus I was not expecting. Also, the price was much better than others I was looking at. If you need a storage/tool box for your utility trailer, I don't think you will find a better value.

The lid won't stay latched no matter how its adjusted, the catch on the handle is so sloppy it allows it to slide right out and also moves around enough that's its impossible to lock it

I would recommend this for anybody very cheaply, made very thin aluminum not worth the money

Nice little box but very thin material that could be pried open very easily. Was hoping it would be a little stouter.

The overall construction was very thin and lightweight. The welds were horrible and it had several dents because of the lightweight materials.

It’ll work but for the price you’d expect better the box was a little kiddy wompass and large dent slash bowed on the side and once I screwed it to the trailer the lid now sticks

Perfect for tie-downs and straps and even a small gas can. Sturdy and easy to mount.

Home Depot has gone down the toilet in all areas highly disappointed in Home Depot and not the product

Worked great for what I wanted on my trailer, and cab be mounted all the way back to trailer and lid will still open all the back against trailer.

The box is fairly nice overall, but a little flimsy feeling when you open and close the lid. Also, the lock feels like a cheap lock (I'm sure it is) and the key is difficult to insert into the slot.
