I figured this was the best. Being in mosquito country I really needed this to work. After 2 weeks now and my fixation on watching out the window it kills nothing but moths. I have had zero mosquitoes in the tray and seems nothing zapped that is was intended for. The light is dull purple and does not attract them. Just does not work as it should.

This only seems to attract the insects that aren't pesky, like moths. Mosquitoes are in others by it despite the bait that came with it. It doesn't even work for a .25 acres, much less 1.5.

Instructions to told us to put in an out of the way location. We put it on second floor balcony above garage. The area in front of garage has been inundated with mosquitos. Mosquitos are gone! We have it set to come on at dusk and off in the morning. Occasionally we hear the zaps. This is not a set it and forget it product. There is an attraction chemical attachment that needs to be replaced monthly and the bulb will need to be replaced yearly.

This is a terrible product. Out of box does not work. Short cord on it. It awful. Taking back. JUNK

These new generation bug zappers are not like the old ones, they are very quiet and they don’t flash brightly when a bug is zapped. Therefore, you might think that the unit isn’t working well, but that isn’t the case; just as many bugs are meeting their maker, you just don’t get the pyrotechnic show.

Works very well, have it set on dusk to dawn.

Does nothing that I can tell. Worthless

Knocked out 99% of the bugs

Bugs are terrible this Spring. I use air pressure to clean them off the zapper almost daily it's covered. The bulb doesn't seem as bright as the zapper I had before but so far works better.

Light came on - octonal put on watched bugs fly in and out without being zapped - while getting eaten alive by mosquitos -this item is completely useless & overpriced !!!

Super efficient, quiet, love the auto turn on feature

I purchased this bug zapper for my back yard in 2021. There wasn't much light output when we purchased it, and it didn't seem to kill many bugs. Home Depot said it was working. Black Flag said it was "normal operation". In fact, the bats did more for bug control in my back yard than this did. Here it's 2023, and the thing does not work at all. No warranty, Black Flag company & Home Depot are no help. Save your money and find an alternative to Black Flag.

Work better 22 feet away

I bought this and when I opened it found out it was used and filled with bugs. So I have no idea if it was good or not, because I returned it. No reflection on the unit but certainly a reflection on Home Depot having the nerve for trying to see this as new.

I never really thought about buying one of these until I did And now I really do not know how I made it with that one. This product has been awesome. It has really open my eyes to needing a bug light.

Excellent product. First night operating it paid for itself. I've owned two before but due to my negligence of leaving it out in the rain they only lasted one season. I will take better care of this one.

This product did not work at all

First unit had extremely weak bulb. Ran all night in central Florida, no dead bugs. Returned for exchange. Second unit also emitted very little light. Ran all night, no dead bugs!

I was very excited to try try the Black Flag bug zapper. I've owned it for about 1 year. It does a great job of attracting the bugs, but it doesn't have enough juice to kill all of them. After a typical night, I go out in the morning and it's zap screen is covered in bugs, but not all of them are dead. I have to use my grass blower to dislodge them. It requires constant cleaning. I do not recommend this product.
