[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are a big fan of Captain Jack’s landscape maintenance products. My husband takes great pride in maintaining our outdoor living spaces. We have five year old twins and I was uncomfortable with him, using traditional round up type products in the spaces we use frequently and where my children play. I was thankful to find Captain Jack’s products and they’ve been a great alternative to traditional round up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a weed/grass killer that would do its best not to kill my pets. This one seemed to fit the bill just perfectly. Once received its use is self-explanatory. There is nothing more to do than unscrew the cap, screw in the sprayer, shake up the contents and spray away. Follow the instructions as written and you will see results in no time. That is however if you followed the instructions and applied the product with full sun to help things along. Here in California (High Desert) I have no shortage of that. Everything turns brown as you would hope. Unfortunately, there is a problem The greenery appears to die on the surfaces alone. That means the roots are still viable so the weed/grass will return. So that would not necessarily be a problem as a reapplication is easy BUT the product is expensive so tearing through it quickly is not cost effective. In addition, while I do not wish to diminish the efforts of the manufacturer, the product is vinegar, salt(s), and a surfactant. That said I would really like to support these folks and their excellent product but my budget just won't allow for the repeat purchases to keep the greenery in check. I will probably try to create the mixture and see how it goes. So this review is tough. It is a great product in the pet-safe space but, for me, too expensive to use regularly and you need to use this regularly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased a house and the previous owners were elderly so they really didn't keep up on the yard. I pulled as many weeds as I could but it almost felt like more would just pop up overnight. I decided a weed killer would probably be my best bet. It was very easy to use and within a few hours I could see weeds dying. After about 2 weeks of treating the yards I was weed free and am now able to focus on planting some flowers and making my grass green and beautiful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this weed killer. it’s safe around kids and pets which is something I look out for in these types of products. It does get the job done while being environmentally aware. Doesn’t effect my grass as well.

Used the whole gallon, not 1 weed died, waste of money

Product works great with no damage to my lawn

Though the label claims "results in hours", I have seen partial results after several days. I bought this in searching for a systemic weed killer that would not endanger children or pets, but it appears lacking.

Didn't kill anything I sprayed. Possible the stuff growing in the concrete is on the list of things it doesn't kill, but did not work for my needs.

Works as advertised. Dandelions dead, cats NOT dead. Sprayer works perfectly. Very fast results.

The worst weedkiiler i have purchased.

I like the electric pump and the fact that the solution is orange colored, so that I can see exactly where it is sprayed. I just sprayed a couple of days ago and I believe that I will purchase this product again.

It grows weeds instead of killing them

Worked really well and super glad it’s on the organic side vs all those chemicals. Used it on the backyard bc of our dogs. The smell isn’t too bad and you do have to wait some time before you can let them back out again. Always follow directions. I did use 2 containers just to be sure I got them. 1 container treated my backyard perfectly! Very satisfied with my purchase.

Works great on weeds and greens up the lawn as well!

It kills hawkweed. That's why I bought it. It works on that.
