When we ordered the tub about 9 months ago, we were impressed with the SYNIRON 2 coating, giving the tub a cast-iron feel without the weight. However, the tub we got just had a thick styrofoam piece stuck to the bottom, and no thick, adherent coating. We are hoping that it will stop squeeking when the installation is finished, but we are very disappointed that we didn't get the premium tub we ordered. Shame on Bootz.

It was installed, but in less than a month rust spot starts it to appeared. Returned and got my money back, but Bootz didn't want it to be responsible for the damaged and the wasted materials. Bathtub was removed and so were the tiles, boards and other materials because the bathroom was halfway done.

Tub is exactly what I wanted!

Dangerous and risky getting in and out

This tub is strong durable easy to install I would recommend this tub to all never buy a fiberglass tub this will last you a lifetime. Easy to install and with a straight edges easy to tile around!

Great quality tub, love the soaking depth. From reading other reviews I knew to look at the tub itself before leaving the store which was good because the first had quite a chip at the bottom. Overall very happy with this!

As per the previous reviewers, I ordered cautiously. In fact, I ordered two, in case one was flawed. I was so excited to think I had a good one! The enamel was perfect, only chip was on the lip that would be covered by tile. I ran my hand over it all to be sure there were no flaws. If it was truly flawless, this was a terrific value! After the plumbers finished the basement install, they called me down to point out that the holes for the drain and the overflow were off center and not lined up with themselves. They had to move the plumbing to the side by about an inch and a half and slide the overflow cover over as far as possible to line those two up. They don't line up with the drain, but I don't think that will bother me much. After they left, I got into the tub to test it out and discovered there is a vertical ripple to the left of the drain that you don't see unless you are sitting in the tub, but your feet will feel it. This shows up in the pictures as a vertical shine, and that's what I must have thought it was in the store if I saw it at all. Again, I don't think that will bother me too much, but I feel bummed that I was so careful and still got a flawed tub. That said, if the above flaws were absent, this appears it could be a very nice tub. Feels solid. I expect it will be quiet. Feels comfortable to stretch out in. Haven't tried it with water yet. Never-the-less, it seems like either you get the world's best tub, or the world's worst tub. Some may consider the risk too great. For that reason, I don't recommend it. But if you do order, order a couple of them, un-box them at the store, look for irregularities, check to see that it is square, get into the tub in the store, go over every inch BEFORE you take it home and pay to have it installed.

I was looking for a mid-range tub and thought this was more of a lower end when we opened the package. There is a flaw in the finish and a chip we are hoping will be covered by the solid surface surround's overhang. We are patching it to try to ensure that it will not rust over time. It's not really white white but more off-white. I did not return and request another because of the deadline to finish this bath and the price I paid to the contractor just to pick it up from the store. Hopefully when the vanity arrives the color will be a decent match of whites. Not a big chip but still... (sorry for the poor quality pics). On the plus side, the contractor said it went right in without a problem and it's deep.

For the price this tub is great. There was a little over spray of the insulation on the front of the skirt but it came right off with a damp Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I saw reviews of the over spray and how people couldn't get it off but I had no problem. Installation was a breeze. This tub is just the right height. Being a couple inches taller than the tub we removed make a world of difference and the insulation makes for longer soaks. I would defiantly recommend this tub to anyone looking for a soaking tub at a great price.

I ordered this tub and had it shipped to the store to help prevent any damage. The tub arrived to the store in about a week and a half and I went to pick it up. I opened it prior to loading it in my car to inspect for damage and found that the finish was damaged where a weld was for on of the supports on the side of the tub. The finish was peeling as if it wasn't adhered. I chose to return the product and go with a different tub as this made me worried about the quality of the finish as this wasn't shipping damage.

Scratched and dented.

The Bootz Mauicast was exactly what we were looking for in an alcove soaking tub. The delivery service used by Home Depot was awful. Delivered the wrong tub, never rang the doorbell, and signed as the buyer then repeated when delivering the correct tub.

Waited 2-3 weeks for it to arrive. Skirt had a scuff, rim was bent, the box was opened, and the package was given upside down resting on the top side. Could not replace because there was no more stock. Assumed Home Depot was trying to get rid of this damaged one or there was poor quality assurance of a returned item. Further delayed my renovation.

There was damage to the tub, along the base, which necessitated some adjustments to. We were offered an exchange, however, that would’ve been at least three weeks according to the website, and that was not acceptable to us.

After reading the reviews, I had reservations with this product.... Compared other mfgs and models, this seemed the best overall choice. I was initially pleased. During installation, I lined the edge with 3M painter's tape (used because of its low-tack adhesion qualities). I lifted the tape to adjust it and noticed porcelain had delaminated and stuck to the painter's tape. I am the only one to have touched the tub, so I know nothing was dropped on it.. just seems to be poor quality.

The tub is decent for the price but a bit too fragile. Good luck with direct shipping or finding one in a store that is not damaged. The enamel layer is pretty thin and I would be concerned about dropping anything on it (even a shampoo bottle). I am not sure why Bootz cannot find a better way to package the tubs. The ones I see in the stores are typically bent, dented, or chipped, so I had one shipped to my house and it arrived with all three defects.

Purchased in Oct 2021, installed in Nov 2021. Tub's porcelain began flaking Oct 2023. Called Bootz customer service, was sent to 3rd party Amer. Bath Group who handles warranties for Bootz. Response the porcelain flaking in less than 2 years is NOT a manufacturer defect. The best they could do was provide a touch up kit. Bootz Customer Service Leeann(?) seemed irritated that Amer. Bath referred me back to her. Said she would be in touch in 1 day after speaking with Quality Assurance. No response
