The laser pointer was not very bright and we trying...
The laser pointer was not very bright and we trying use it less then 100’ feet we couldn’t see it. I’m returning the laser pointer and don’t recommend it to no one.

I was installing folding patio doors and need the pivot holes and frame to be perfectly true. It would have been extremely difficult with a regular level. Even working alone it was a breeze using the laser plumb line on this level.

Hard to see in the sun.The magnets are ok but should cover the hole surface to ensure good contact during vibration events. (Ie construction sites.

I used it to pin-point installation points for recessed lighting. It made the work easier, especially when trying to work around ceiling joists. The only downside to this product for this specific application is that the same part of the product that is used to secure the level to a tripod, is also the part that must be swung 180 degrees to get a floor reference. To swing the part away to get the laser point, one must loosen the knob then tighten it again since the direction to move the part is the same as to tighten the part to the laser.
The cost, relative to the similar products, is worth it in terms of how much simpler it makes the job. I'd recommend it for those interested in installing residential recessed lights.

not what i expected
I bought the 100 foot level to lay out a garage and you can not seethe lazer outside. Why make it 100 foot range that you have to use indoors

Perhaps a line laser would better suit your needs. The GPL3 red laser is designed for indoor or dim-lighted areas. This is the third one of these I purchased. They work beautifully. Every one has tested to be in perfect alignment upon opening the package and putting in the batteries. BUT when finishing a project, remove the batteries! If the batteries corrode, they can ruin the instrument.
