Hard to review a product that's only a few weeks old so time will tell. But so far so good. Love the top shelf for the silverware. A red light comes on when you start the washer but it would be better if a green ligfht came on when the cycle (including drying) was completed.

This dishwasher smells like chemicals or burnt plastic. I don’t know what’s wrong with it. I thought it would go away after a month or two but it has not. It makes all my plastic and silicone spatulas stink so bad also. It seems unhealthy. Need to contact someone about this. We have run the wash with baking soda to try to get it to stop about ten times. That is what Home Depot told us to do. Very unhappy. Every time I open the door, the whole kitchen is filled with this toxic smell.

The washing machine has rust on the inside. I Called Home Depot to complain and they told me I needed to call Bosch. I’ve only had it for a few weeks. I’m very disappointed I paid $1500 and I think the Unit may have been used. It also doesn’t fully drained and there’s about 2 inches of water in the tub at all times

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With our two previous dishwashers, we essentially had to wash the dishes before the appliances had their turn, but that's not true with this one. We've not yet had anything come out with any residue!

So far this dishwasher is just average. For a second home I bought a Kitchenaid, which I find much superior. There are several quirks about this dishwasher. First, after going through an entire cycle, the tub is wet. Bosch says that is normal, leave the door open to dry. While loading the dishwasher throughout the day, and in our case days, there seems to be steam released making the tub musty smelling. Bosch says to leave the door open. That is next to impossible as it wants to shut on its own. The middle shelf for glasses is fine, but mugs don't sit at an angle to keep water from accumulating on the top. Bowls have to sit on the bottom shelf which is different for us. Many things that are different from traditional washers so evaluate closely if this is what you think you want.

I got this one for two reasons. The panel could be swapped from my old dishwasher and because my sister said she loves her Bosch. It does wash dishes. It has three racks - the top one is for knives. The bottom rack has a hard time staying in the correct position to go back into the washer. I have to wrangle it when it's less full. It's the weight that keeps it in place. The middle rack tilts down when full. I am worried it's going to snap off at some point or bend so much it impedes the washing of the dishes in the bottom rack. For $950 I would have expected better quality. Also, the controls are no easy to understand. Do you start it when it's blinking or not blinking? I am not blown away. If you are not a heavy user, maybe it survives for a while? If you are constantly filling and using heavy dishes, go with something sturdier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We haven't put the panel on the door yet as our cabinet front has not come in yet, but the dishwasher door is does not stay open and swings back in with force. It does not stay open unless the weight of the bottom drawer is pulled out on top of it, and then when the drawer is slid in, the door automatically swings up. It has swung up and hit me before- borderline dangerous. I am going to wait until the panel is installed to see if this is remedied, but otherwise will need to call Bosch to see if this can be troubleshooted.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dishes never completely dry so the glasses always have a mark, even either rinse aid. The way the controls are designed, you always press something to either start or suspend wash.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It does a great job cleaning dishes (we had to stop rinsing). On a few "trials" with baked on food on pans, they came out spotless. It also drys great and is practically silent. We have to spot the red light on the floor to know if it is running, because we initially would open it prematurely. The run cycle seems long, but we know it uses energy and water efficiently, so we don't really mind. It took us some time to get comfortable with the controls - a bit difficult to alter, but we usually use the same settings for most washes. It really does a great job of washing and drying. My rating would be 4.5 stars if it were available!

Unsure if it is the washer or the installation but the door snaps back dangerously - having bosch come to review - your install team needs work.

This dishwasher does an excellent job of cleaning the dishes. It is unbelievably quiet.

I've never had to re-wash any dishes after it runs its cycle which was a pretty frequent thing I did with my old dishwasher. Everything comes out spotless clean, every time. It's super quiet, we wouldn't know it's running except when the water is draining.

I've always heard that you shouldn't rinse your dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, but I've always had issues with food still on the dishes in other dishwashers I've used. This one truly does get everything clean without rinsing. The only reason for 4 stars is that it feels a little flimsy for a higher priced dishwasher.

Not loving the new design of all of the racks. Seems harder to load.

Had a new Bosch 800 series (42 decibels) dishwasher installed in March 2021 during a kitchen remodel. The two main reasons I purchased the Bosch dishwasher was to reduce our water usage and noise reduction. Bosch advertised, “there is no reason to rinse dishes before putting them in the dishwasher”. However, I am honestly disappointed with how it cleans the dishes. Many times food remains stuck on dishes, cups and utensils. We must pre-rinse dishes to make sure they get cleaned. On several occasions, I had to hand wash all the dishes after washing them in the dishwasher because they were still dirty! So with the pre-rinsing and washing dishes by hand afterwards, not much water conservation is happening. Per a number of reviews and Bosch’s advertisements, it is the “quietest dishwasher” on the market. We have 800 series at 42 decibel. It’s quiet, but not much quieter than my old 50 decibel Whirlpool dishwasher (2008) this new dishwasher replaced. It has a red light to indicate the dishwasher is on and “cleaning the dishes”. My opinion, this is a cute feature, but not really needed since you can still hear the dishwasher when its on. On a positive note, the Bosch 800 series is a nice looking dishwasher and I like having the panel installed on the dishwasher to match my cabinets. I love the 3rd rack and the fold down tins that offers flexibility to load the dishes, cups and pots/pans. However, it was difficult to figure out how to work the dishwasher controls and the available features.....took a few days to get the hang of it. We do like how well the dishwasher dries the dishes (much better than my old dishwasher). Overall, the dishwasher is average. It is not all it was advertised to be. If I had to do it all over again, I would have bought another Whirlpool dishwasher, which cleans and sounds about the same, but less expensive.
