The American Vintage model #SAMV5FC is part of the hand-scraped collection. The roughness of the product is what makes it feel more realistic to feature the hand-scraped finish. Hardwood is a natural product and the beauty of this collection will feature greater amount of visual character such as wider color and grain variation, mineral streaks and knots. If you feel the issues are beyond the expectations of the flooring product, you can have a claim filed. The claim process is initiated by Home Depot. You can take your proof of purchase back to them, and they can file the claim on your behalf.
