The finish is beautiful. We had to build out the fridge panel 2” to avoid aeeing the unfinahed sides. We painted the sides to match so the black sides werent seen. The internal water dispenser is fine but our client wanted the counter depth with the internal water jug if that is an option in the future. Love the line and all the options! Keep doing great work GE!

This refrigerator is beautifully designed. That said, the inside shelves and drawers appear to be cheaply made. The interior and exterior feel like they were designed with different standards. Solid doors and pulls, cheap shelves and drawers. It’s a bit disappointing. Additionally, there is little drawer space. We selected this refrigerator because it fit the space and had a clean appearance. On the outside, it’s a great refrigerator. Only time will tell if the shelves and drawers are made to last.

The refrigerator is beautiful. A lot of customers don’t like the black sides, but it looks fine and doesn’t have to be covered. I had a door cubby crack the first day. Bummer.

Love the look but for the price you pay it’s junk. Condenser had to be replaced after one month and now the freezer stopped cooling. Called GE and because it’s out of warranty ( just over a year old) they won’t send out a repair person. Never buying GE again. This is definitely a known issue so they should be REPLACING these appliances not repairing them just for them o break again.

Love the refrigerator but our first one needed to be replaced after 3 years. Hoping it was a covid fluke and will not happen again.

1st one required 8 technians to repair in the 1st 9 months. This is day 1 on replacment and hope no issues.

I used a calibrated meter to check the temperature of the unit because the cheap thermometers I had were telling me it was not getting cold enough, even though the actual temperature shown on the unit control showed it was. I like my refrigerator to always stay below 38° because it makes all my smoothies last over a week. My meter shows that the unit is consistently 5° higher than what the actual temperature says on the control screen. The first pic was taken after the unit stopped cooling, the second was taken 45 minutes later when the unit started again. This means I cannot get the unit below 39° and it will not start cooling until it is over 41°. See pics. I hate to go my "grandpappy" here but I had a Kenmore unit that had no problems with this and still works, I bought it in 2002. There are some people here saying the unit keeps their stuff "cold!!" others are saying the opposite. If everyone is correct then the problem lies with proper testing of the thermistors or the circuit board they go to is not properly spanned from one unit to the next. I am giving this 2+ stars because, even though it is pretty, it is failing to perform the job it was designed to do which is keep the items at or below the FDA recommended 40°. The freezer temperature matches perfectly at 0°. I will be making a service call after I determine my Cafe dishwasher issues. I also have to more items to check, an induction cooktop and a French door oven. All of these items were purchased in December of 2023.

I installed this refrigerator in April 2023 and the freezer stopped keeping the food cold in October 2023! I got the GE repair person here to fix it and the day after he left not only was the freezer warmer than the temperature in my house, but the refrigerator also got over heated and I lost all of my food! GE customer service has not been helpful at all in resolving this issue and I will NEVER purchase another GE appliance again!

The touch screen did not work the date (10/4/23) it was delivered. Three weeks later it has not been fixed. Also, the water has a plastic taste even though many gallons have been run through the system. It appears to be related to the reservoir that holds the chilled water.

Hey anyone who interesting to buy this refrigerator CAFE, Model #: CFE28TP2MS1 I definitely recommend it, it has plenty of room for food storage and is easy to maneuver, like the temperature thru the screen, the water, ice dispenser, the freezer is amazing, the whole refrigerator it is so great to use it.!!love it

So far so good! A great looking fridge at a reasonable price. We looked at the build-in high end fridges and decided the Cafe brand had the high end features and look for 1/4 the cost.

My favorite thing is the matte white finish. It looks so sharp with the metallic pulls. I know I am going to love the hot water feature this fall/winter for a quick cup of hot chocolate!!

Bottom freezer keeps building up frost and icicles! Local dealer trying hard to figure out.

The bottom freezer came in with manufacturer defect due to an error on the encasing (see attached picture) and has the potential to cause injury due to its sharpness. This was expected on a product so expensive. The shelves appear very thin. The black color not as dark as shown on the company’s website. The volume of the hot water is too small. A variable volume sizes up to at least 3 cups would be more desirable. The lightning is great. The noise level was very low when the unit is running. The different drawers with humidity control is a plus. The display is great but the screen size is too small. The frig. capacity is great. The dispenser is too low. I had to return the unit mainly because of the defect. I am not too excited to buy it again.

Love the look and shelf spacing inside along with the exterior water and ice dispenser. Dispenses both cold and hot water.

The refrigerator doors are great. The warning is really good because sometimes I don’t close it all the way. The filter in the refrigerator makes the water and ice taste great The vegetable bins are very good in where the fruit is skipped is very good to.

The refrigerator is sturdy, spacious, and seems well designed . The hot water feature and ability to upload digital photos (maybe because the steel surface does not allow magnets to stick) are bonuses. My only complaint is that the ice dispenser spits cubed and crushed ice all over and it's impossible to get it into a glass without making a mess!

Looks great, works great. Overall very pleased with our purchase. The black sides blend in well with our dark cabinets and even though it sticks out more than our old fridge it doesn’t feel like it when you walk in to the kitchen.

This refrigerator is like Ferrari, and the price fully reflects its quality. It's big, It's convenient. Fits plenty of stuff although countertop depth. It's not hand-prints resistant as stated in the description. For cleaning this surface you need 2 cloths, microfiber, to wipe and polish after, so the cleaned spot is not visible. I am not using hot water since it takes too much time. My external kettle will heat the water faster, however, it's a good feature. It wasn't a priority for me anyway. You don't have to always open both doors if you remember where is your stuff. However, the door always needs to be pushed until the end. They will not just close by themselves. My biggest frustration until today is that installers removed the plastic foil so rapidly that in some parts it's still there, and it's hard to remove. I don't want to use a knife or anything sharp to not scratch the surface, but I'm hoping that this will somehow come off easier with some time. Nevertheless, after one month of usage, I can confirm it's worth the money. It's a very nice piece of furniture in my kitchen. I recommend it to other customers.

We love the layout, abundant space, and functionality of this refrigerator. The ability to customize the shelf layout is very beneficial. The doors provide lots of storage space, and the deep freezer drawers allow for ample, easily accessible volume. The only minor drawback is the ice maker. The ice tends to clump above the grinder, so we often have to open the door and push the cubes down so they can be dispensed. This is a beautiful refrigerator with a white finish and brass hardware that perfectly complements my kitchen design. We also have the matching GE Cafe dual oven, 5-in-1 wall oven, dishwasher, and wine fridge. It is gorgeous!

Love it so far! It goes great with our kitchen setup and the color combo finishes the look!

I din't think I could love an appliance style as much as I do the Cafe series. The white with the bronze handles is beautiful in our space. It has great features such as filling water using ounces and can heat water for hot beverages. The inside can hold as much as our 40" wide unit it replaced. The freezer on the bottom is great for reaching things. This also holds quite a bit of frozen items. We recently purchased the counter top oven in the same colors and are planning to purchase a range. Great appliances.

We love this fridge. The only complaint we have is that it makes noises a lot. They aren't loud, but frequent. Beautiful look, especially with the brass hardware.

This is a Nice fridge. I like the icemaker and the bottom freezer aspect of that. Really nice color and water system.
