Love them!

They do not last a full summer of work like the b28 did. They fit a little loose in the crotch and that may be why they wear out so fast for me. They are too long and get caught on my knees. Otherwise they are functional. I couldn't comment on style as it is of no significance.

First of all, the only reason I ordered these is because Carhartt in its infinite wisdom, discontinued the venerable B25 Work Short. I would say these Loose Fit Canvas Utility Work Shorts are a poor substitute, but they are NO SUBSTITUTE! These are dainty schoolboy shorts better suited to school uniform applications than a workingman's short! They are ridiculously long, and ridiculously undersized sized to match. I ordered three pair of 36s and got three pair of 34s, MARKED AS 36s—that's right--the 36s received measured 34, not 36. Holding them up to an older pair of B25’s the sizing problem is only too obvious. Styles may change, but inches are inches and don’t change. Yes, they going back, and no, I won’t be replacing them.

Bought these and the Rigby so I'd have something to wear doing yard work and wouldn't mind getting them dirty. They both lasted about a year before the fabric started getting real thin, splitting and tearing. On both of them. Couple photos attached. One showing a split between two patches my wife thought would extend their life. Good for casual wear. I wouldn't wear these as work shorts.

Very durable ! However based on the online sizing information I needed to have the length altered by a tailor.

I've worn these for years. They run a little big. I normally wear a 32" waist but order these in a 33" and they fit perfectly. I own a remodeling business and these are my go to shorts. Between consulting with a client or working all day, these are comfortable, rugged, and professional looking.

I wanted the gray color and they said dark kaki but they look tan. I use them for work and they don't match

Imo these run small. I'd order one size larger. But the main thing I dislike about these is that the material is quite thin. I would not recommend these shorts if they'll see actual work.

These shorts rock! I have been using them for myself and crew for almost 10 years. Durable, many choices of pockets and solid design/construction!!

Great fit and material. I like the pockets. My cell fits nicely in the utility pocket. The fly zipper cover doesn't naturally lay flat and cover the zipper. I need to periodically lay it flat with my hand to hide the exposed zipper

I got four pairs in various colors and they have minute differences. Two of them have coin pockets and two do not. They are all the same size but some feel larger than others. But they are still very comfortable.

I have been a user of Carhartt shorts for a while. Added a couple of new colors to my selection. Love the pockets and ease of access to phone, wallet. Great for casual wear!

I stumbled upon my first pair of these shorts almost 20 years ago when shopping at the local feed & grain store and I've relied on them for daily wearing throughout most of Spring, Summer and most of Fall here in SoCal. The best feature is the large side pocket on the right side which perfectly fits my phone. The quality is superior and I still have those first shorts i bought 20 years ago and add to my inventory each year. I highly recommend these shorts for anyone working in a hot climate and will continue to buy them for years to come.

These shorts are not the Carhartt shorts I remember. The length is a good fit for me, but the waist has zero stretch. They seem to run smaller than my pants selection so buy them at least 1 size bigger. They do have a hammer loop which is a must have, but the utility pocket on the right side is short and will not hold longer items as some of their previous models have

These shorts are very long. I'm 5'10", and wear a 32" inseam in pants, and these come several inches below my knees.

Good quality shorts. However, what happened to the heavyweight canvas? This material is much lighter than I expected/hoped. And what happened to the inseams? You used to have a selection that included a shorter inseam that I could not find, and would have preferred.

Great work shorts. Durable and light weight. One thing I do is add a snap to the right lower pocket to avoid my knife from slipping out while on the tractor.

This is my second pair of these and they are a little smaller in the waist but that's OK..

These run small. My husband has a pair of Carthartt Loose Fit Utility Jeans in a size 34X30 and they are actually slightly big on him. Ordered these, Loose Fit in 34 and they are about an inch away from being able to button them. Disappointed that I have to return them.

Shorten them about 1 1/2 inches. Leg is a little too baggy. Take up the leg. Make these shorts 'A LITTLE LESS LOOSE'. QUITE A WASTE OF CLOTH. TRIM DOWN THE FITMENT.

I have been wearing these shorts for almost 30 years everyday. I usually have 25 pair or so on hand at anytime in various states of wear. I'm disappointed that the leg changed and the length has gotten so long (10"). Please bring back the 8" inseam version... have both 8" and 10" and let the buyer chose. 5 stars if the length hadn't changed.

The fabric not the same. You used to have tougher fabric. Also, they are way tooooo long. Bring back the 8 in.

not true size. need to go back to the true carpenter shorts.

I purchased 2 pairs to replace my single pair that I had worn out. The loose fit are the way to go if you have issues with never having enough room in shorts when sitting or working. I wish carhartt would have more short styles and colors in loose fit.

Mine wear out pretty quickly. I Wish black was still an option. Can't buy them anymore cause my job requires black. And wish they had a pencil pocket for left handed people.
