Didn't look anything like the picture. Way too long. Item has pattern on it, which your picture does not. In fact when I didn't even open them. Toss them in the closet. I'll be more careful in the future.

Build quality is excellent. These are really rugged shorts, but not heavy fabric. Seat pockets are without velcro, which is an improvement vs. previous version. Fit is as expected and little to no shrinkage after first wash. Highly recommended.

My husband loves these shorts.. he has 3 pair. They are cool, comfortable and wash and dry well. I highly recommend!!

I've gotten used to nylon shorts made by companies like Arc'teryx, but I was sometimes missing the sturdy feel of cotton. A quick search of durable+shorts yielded this site. I just received the shorts, tried them on, and found that they fit just right. They are also a lot warmer than my hiking shorts, but that's to be expected. They feel durable, but only activity can confirm this. I will say that the pocket design is not suited for traveling, as the back pockets are open and there isn't a secure zippered pocket. I'm not sure that I would purchase these at their regular price, but I'll likely buy more if I happen to see them on sale again.

Happy with the Carhartt brand fit quality and price. Will continue to buy and have told a buddy about them.

Shorts are now my most comfortable shorts to wear for work or leisure. They fit perfectly and material is tough and looks great. The right side phone pocket is a great feature to manage phone without using other pockets. Ordering several other pairs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shorts are made well using good material. There are several pockets that can hold a cell phone. They come out of the wash looking good, too. Bought on sale so the price was right as well.

4-stars because I barely ever use the cargo pockets as they are way to cumbersome to open. There's two Velcro closures at each corner of the pocket flaps. The first is easy to reach as it's at the front The 2nd at the rear of the flap is difficult to reach as I have to lean way down, and back, to pull it open - it's awkward - and, by the time you get the rear Velcro undone - the front has already resealed itself. Instead of corner to corner - why not one in the middle? The have an open-slot in the middle of the flap now - which is also never used be me, and, I'm not even sure of its purpose. Other than that, the shorts are perfect.

They are very well constructed as usual, cool and light feeling in hot weather all the while looking stylish. My regular size works well for me, I read some reviews that they were snug feeling, but I found my usual size has enough room in the right places.

Unfortunately they seem to size smaller than shown. Other clothing in the size I ordered fits me fine but I am barely able to button these shorts unfortunately. They look great and I badly want to use them, but that's not an option until I drop like 20 pounds it seems.

My husband really loves these shorts , they are true to size and durability.. we can only find them on the carhartt web site. They are always out of stock in his size in the stores.
