[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this jacket for over a year now and it has not failed me yet in the rainy Pacific Northwest. Water rolls right off and it's highly breathable. Love the newer color choices as well!

My son and his fiancé bought this for me last Christmas and I just love it. It's so comfortable, not real bulky, it keeps me dry and the best part is the lower back length that doesn't come up when I bend over. Perfect jacket for when I do my outside chores and ride my horses.

I haven't put this jacket away since it came last month and I don't want too either! The jacket has been worn on a very rain drenching day and it kept me dry! I love that the hood can be snapped off for those sunnier days. The hood is also very adjustable and fit my head and stayed on even when walking and moving my arms which is a bonus. I was also able to wear heavier sweaters underneath. It washed beautifully. This is a jacket I am looking forward to wearing for many years.

I have only had this jacket a couple weeks now but I instantly fell in love with it. I up sized to a medium so I could layer with it. With adequate layering I have been able to comfortable wear this jacket in 30 degree temps without a problem. It also leaves enough room in the shoulders and underarms when I'm layering that I can still comfortably move around. There are lots of pockets which is always a plus. I was also able to finally try it out in the rain last night when I was too lazy to take my umbrella with me. It was fantastic and I was completely dry under my coat. I haven't been this excited about a clothing purchase in a while. I highly recommend this jacket!

I purchased this jacket last year on a quest to find a mid-weight waterproof jacket that covers my bum. I live in South Carolina and ride my bike to work every day during the week, and ride my horses on the weekends. This jacket does a great job keeping me dry on my rides in to work, and keeps my bum covered from any tire splatter. Not to mention, it has a great style and fit that I find flattering and happily wear out socially to oyster roasts and other outdoor events. It washes really well (I sound like my mother) and is honestly a great quality jacket and well worth the price. I love the hand-cover things, internal pockets and vents. It still looks brand new even though I have washed it countless times. This was my first Carhartt purchase and now I am converted! I love that its functional but also stylish to still feel a bit feminine with out lacking in function. I am 5'6, 135lbs and a small fit well, but bc of my climate I am usually not wearing bulky layers underneath. I would have probably sized up if I planned to wear anything thick under it.

I bought the older version of the Shoreline in 2010 and it's held up for 9 years. I was hoping to grab another one to stash away but only to find they've redesigned it. This one isn't as functional or tough. I work outdoors on the railroad in the snow and rain and this thing can take a beating! I noticed the men's Shoreline is the same style (my husband has one from back then too). Overall I'm consistently disappointed in Carhartt women's clothing. It's bad enough we have to chose from ridiculous pinks and purples (how about some blues and greys?) but the quality of the clothing doesn't match the mens. Hey we work just as hard as the guys, make our clothing just as durable. It's hard to look serious when you're wearing a pink lightweight coat at a male dominated company. Get real.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice lightweight rain jacket, provides great coverage for rain/snow - don't think I have gotten wet even in a heavy storm. The one inner pocket that is made at an angle (on left) is easy to access but because of the angle I do not feel it is as secure to hold important items like my phone, wallet or keys as I do not want to lose those.

I was looking for a jacket that would keep me warm with the bulk of a winter jacket. This was just what I was looking for. Great by itself on winter nights and layer it on those extra cold nights:)

I received this jacket to try and review. I love this jacket, it's SOFT, waterproof, and a beautiful color. I've gotten so many complements and everyone wants to try it on. As part of the promotion I also had to wash the jacket, it came out looking as it did when it went in. It's really a wonderful jacket all around.

I’ve been dying for a long length coat with the Sherpa lining. I purchased the shorter one last year and had to get this one. Great for, warm, extra pockets on inside, and overall amazing jacket

I bought the deep wine jacket in august of 2018 and wore it for the entire fall,winter, and spring in Western Washington. Today I have come back once more for the same jacket in another color so I can alternate jackets when one needs a wash. You cannot go wrong choosing this jacket, I love it!!

I really like this jacket. It keeps me dry when I have to work in the rain.

I love this jacket! The soft sleeves with thumbs holes, multiple pockets, and mesh interior make for an excellent raincoat. This coat keeps you warm but breathes at the same time!

Super cute, worth the money, fits great, you just put it on the know it has great quality. I love the little thumb holes, didn't even notice them before I bought it.

I absolutely love this jacket! The Storm Defender material allows it to be worn in the harshest of weathers and it is extremely durable.

This jacket is super nice, but I found that the bottom would be too tight while the top was looser. Kinda bummed, had to return.

I can’t say enough good things about the Shoreline Jacket! Another day pouring rain today and I was so glad I had it on. It is insanely water proof! Everything under that jacket is dry as a bone. It comes passed my belt line so it doesn’t ride up. It’s slightly longer in the back, there are pockets everywhere, it’s flattering AND comfortable. Plus it has thumb holes! It’s not the warmest jacket in the world. I sized up so I can wear a hoodie under it or long sleeve tee and the layering keeps it real toasty. But that makes it a 3 season jacket where I live. Perfect for spring and fall and add layers in the winter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cannot say enough great things about this coat. It surprised me with pockets, durability, comfort and warmth. I run warm, so I was looking for a heavy duty coat for winter, that would not sweat me out. This coat blocked high winds, rain, snow, whatever. It keeps me warm without over heating. I am so glad Carhartt made this.

I have had the same Carhartt rain jacket for at least 5 years, until it started leaking. I decided to purchase another Carhartt rain jacket specifically to keep myself dry working out in the rain of the Pacific Northwest. The first time I wore it in light rain, it soaked through the seams across the back and the top of the shoulders, so I returned it. They did give my money back, but now I have no rain jacket to wear... Doesn't the word "waterproof" mean anything? Would love to purchase this item again, just to see if the one I returned had a defect, but I don't want to take that chance again.

Love the jacket have had it about 2.5 months. Today when I was out in the rain I notice it was soaking up the rain and it was no longer beading off. I bought this jacket specifically because it was "water proof" although now I'm thinking it should be labeled water resistant. I was only out 30 min in a light rain and it has soaked through.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The jacket is not super insulating but is warm with a sweatshirt underneath. Great for mild temperatures and rain, like in spring and fall.

Received this jacket today but I will be returning it for two reasons: 1) I ordered the XXL and it fits but there is zero stretch so it's a little snug if you have curvy hips and bust or want to wear it with anything other than a t-shirt. Also, due to the length (which is perfect, by the way), it's hard to sit unless you unzip from the bottom a bit. 2) The hood is not adjustable in the back. Most rain jackets have a velcro tab at the back that allows the wearer to pull the hood back a bit - especially useful if you're shorter than average. This hood is ridiculously large and keeps falling over my eyes. CARHARTT: If you could make this jacket available in an XXXL and could add a velcro tab to adjust the hood, this would be PERFECT. It's durable and actually pretty cute and would be a great 3-season jacket but sadly, I'll be returning it. *sad face*

I bought this jacket for winter (in Alaska) it doesn't keep me very warm, and the sizes don't fit right. I usually like everything I get from Carhartt and could give them stellar reviews but this time I wished I used my money elsewhere. Now I'm stuck with a jacket that doesn't keep me warm for winter in below freezing weather.
