Excellent product
This product provided a nice privacy feel in an already existing chain link fence, avoiding the cost of a new wooden privacy fence. This was especially beneficial in neighboring dogs not seeing each other as easily, decreasing continual barking. I've also received nice compliments from others about the decorative appearance that this has created in my backyard.

Great improvement to my back fence...
Been price shopping fence slats and came across the casa verde option. Having over 200' back fence to install adds up quick and I'm happy with the end results. Having an unsightly view of a neighbor's run down fence and open country, the slats gave border to my property and eliminated plenty of the eyesore. Installation was easy, but very time consuming (took 30-40 minutes per box). The slats are flexible so you can manipulate them easily through the chain link, but I did have to get the pliers out a few times to square up links. Thought I was going to be one box short (ordered 20), but it turned out to cover more area than advertised. Like that the slats come with a 10 year warranty.

Excellent Product would recommend it
Keeps our backyard privacy yet allows a lil peek both in and out. Keeps our dogs from barking at our neighbors...which is a big plus. I would say 80% privacy. Easy to install...casa verde green is perfect color that blends with scenery. We are very happy with product and the fact that it was free shipping and came on time. Very happy customer.

Limits view of over vigilant watch dog and their playground
With a very slim opening between our shed and house, our dogs still catch sight of a lot of other dogs being walked, children riding by on bicycles, and octogenarians putting in their daily paces to bark at through our chain link fence. We installed the Casa Verde slats which virtually block their view of the street and minimizes what they can see to bark at. It also blocks the view of my mulch pile/ doggy dig in pile from those passing by so that the mess from my gardening is now hidden from the street.

Slats are different colors....
Very unhappy with my purchase. Home Depot was real nice with helping me to resolve the situation and gave me 10% back which made me feel a lot better. Slats are not all the same color and depending on the direction of the sun, there is a significant difference in the color of the slats. The manufacturer themselves on the other hand were of no help and didn't care much about the situation. It doesn't matter if you order all the slats at the same time, you will still have the same problem. The picture I downloaded doesn't show how bad it really looks.

    Blocking the view
I have a gate about 18 ft long X 8 ft tall and I've wanted to block the view through it for quite some time. I needed something white and lite and these fence slats work very well for that. Slight adjustments were required to the wires on the bottom and the ones which hold the fence to the frame, but once that was done the parts slipped in and locked into place very nicely. On another note, I'll need to add a pair of handles to the gate because the wind turns it into a sail.

Went up quickly and looks good.
As the other reviewers stated these slats are very easy to install and look great. I split some of the slats to fill-in some of the gaps. This took a little bit of skill. Tin snipes did not cut straight enough. Scoring the valley in the center with a utility knife worked well. The only real issue was the areas of the chain link that where bent and the bottom took a little bit to work in. I had 6 people working and we put up 6 boxes of slats in under 90 minutes. Lots of good comments considering what we were trying to hid around the entrance to our church.

This product was easy to use and accomplished our task!
We wanted some privacy from our neighbors and we were sick of looking at the junk in their backyard. We had a cyclone fence and didn't want to build another fence so we decided to try privacy slats. These were very easy to install- it takes a while but we had a family BBQ and had everyone help and got it done quickly. The color is very nice and we now have a lot more privacy and a better view while sitting on our patio!

    Best product for the Price
I had some privacy bushes next to my neighbor's chain link fence. After having to sweep leaves from my patio 10-15 times a year , I decided that it was time for the bushes to go. The 6 foot chain link fence was in decent shape, but the prospect of looking at it every time I was on the patio was not very appealing. So i did some research on privacy slats. There are two types: tubular and M-shaped cross sections. The tubular slats are heavier and probably more enduring, but they are somewhat harder to bend through the chain link openings. I know that, as I got a few that one of my neighbors had as extra and tried them on the fence. The price of the various vendors of both the tubular and M-shaped slats is pretty much the same, and it is not cheap. On a whim, I went to the Home Depot web page, and was glad that I did. The have M-shaped slats called Casa Verde about 35% cheaper than the average slats sold on the Internet (that I could find). I ordered 6 bundles, each one covering the 10 foot span of a typical chain link fence. The product came to my door in 4 days and it was well packaged. It has installation instructions, but who needs them, as there isn't much to installing the slats. Installation was a breeze. I am glad that I purchased the M-shaped slats, as the fence had some irregularities (misaligned openings) at a few places and these slats were very forgiving on bending, so I was able to run them through with just a bit of extra effort. The tubular ones would have had a tough time at these places. When completed, I was amazed at how pleasant the chain link fence looked. Clean and beautiful, with just enough privacy, yet able to see a moving person on the other side.

Really good product and simple to install
I moved into a new home with chain link fencing on a rather busy street so I needed privacy asap. Didn't want to spend a ton of money on new fencing so the privacy slats were a great solution. Installation was easy but took a long time (I had 80 ft to cover). Well worth it.

Our Free Dog, not so Free
We decided to rescue a dog, a friend for our other dog. She is great, but tends to be a barker, which in turn made our other dog bark. Then they were running thru the pampas grass that was in front of the fence, cuts and bleeding dogs not a good combo We decided to pull out the pampas grass (Never ever plant this stuff!!) after several days we got all 12 of them out. We decided to order the fence slats but still had lots of questions, regarding privacy % and if it would work with vinyl coated chain link. So i called the manufacturer - YES it would work with vinyl coated chain link 75% privacy We ordered 18 boxes to cover 180 feet of fence. The first day I (yep my punishment from the husband for getting another dog LOL) did 4 boxes - then 6 the next day - then 8 the following day. I did not add the bottom thing the slats click into (big mistake) because it seemed fine in February. It's now gotten hot and the slats are now sliding down and I'm having to add the bottom and click them in, puling the slats up then clicking them in is not a fun process and my fingers are blistered - I'm officially head idiot of the fence slats. Over all the slats look great and we are very happy with them. Easy to install, nice privacy. I'm getting ready to order 4 more boxes to finish another area.

    Nice touch
Received several boxes thinking I would try it out. After installing in the chain link, what a diff. You can still see though the fence some, but made a nice privacy fence after all. Easy to install, quality of material ? only time will really tell. Far better than the other stuff offered. Buy again ? Sure will ! Looks nice, gives your fence a nice clean look and some privacy. You will be happy with this product ...

Great price. Would recommend for shorter distances.
Good value. Slat width provides about a quarter of an inch more coverage than comparable products sold by other retailers. Insertion of horizontal slat at bottom of fence along flower bed required digging and clearing dirt and debris. Insertion of vertical slats into horizontal slat at bottom required kneeling and pushing vertical slat down into horizontal slat for about half of the slats. At times had to pry horizontal slat open either with fingers or a garden tool. Due to these issues I would recommend this product only for shorter distances of 50 feet or less.

quality privacy slats at a great price
I'd never written a review, until now; but this product is deserving of a positive review. I ordered 13 boxes of 6' slats to cover 130' of chain link. After checking prices at the local fence supply business, the local hardware/building supply stores, and online, I determined that the HomeDepot Casa Verde privacy slats were at least worth a try. Since I bought more than $45 worth, shipping was free, and I had a $10 off promo code. (HomeDepot will also take returns of this item, if you mis-measure and order too many.) Final price, including sales tax was about $600. Other stores couldn't come close to that price. I installed all 130' (by myself) today. I got up at 4 AM, and by the time it was 4 PM, I was finished. Here are a few tips that I didn't find anywhere, but found out today from my install: 1. Have a pair of aviator shears handy to cut some of the slats and bottom channels. I'm sure scissors could work equally well, but aviator shears are great for this. 2. On level areas, you'll have no problem running the slats down the chain link and locking them in place in the bottom channel. However, on sloping areas of your chain link, be prepared for some heavy tugging to get the slats all the way down and locked. Since the chain link is at an angle on the slopes, the diamonds can get a bit contorted--hence narrower--especially near an end post where the fencing has been tightened. Don't despair or give up. Be patient and gently run the slats down with one hand pushing on the slat above the top of the fence and the other on the side of the slat, to guide it in place. 3. After you finish with all of your runs, you will probably find that the slats are not exactly vertical against the end posts. You can fill in the empty spaces by trimming a few extra slats and inserting them one at a time. Positives? These slats seem to cut down the noise from the neighbors and definitely are an aid at blocking the wind. One other thing, these slats are easy to install, but after you do you will be in GREAT shape. For every 10 ft., it takes 82 slats. Since I installed 13 boxes worth, I figured I squatted at least 1,066 times! So there you go--a very positive review from me. As far as quality goes, I think these will hold up well, compared to the many pricier options. HomeDepot rocks!

It looks much better and stronger than vinyl privacy fence by the roll. I hope it last longer.
