Trailer parts don’t line up to put bolts into sprayer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a pretty easy build directions are pretty straight forward and easy to understand with pictures. Once built it seems quite heavy duty. It has inflatable tires and an adjustable hitch for different heights. The greatest feature about this sprayer is the ability to use different chemicals with the same tank of water by swapping out the smaller tank. It doesn't mix till it exits the sprayer so your water stays good for multiple chemicals. Switching from the boom and the sprayer is super simple.

Very disappointed with the hitch. The hitch is not strong enough to hold for 25 gallons of water after about five or six uses the hitch is starting to bend upward. I’ve been having trouble with some thicker more viscous liquids not wanting to pump out properly sprayer seems to spit At times. A larger variety of sprayer tips and instructions on the tips with flow volumes would be helpful.

Missing several key parts. No power cord to connect battery to motor, no drain plug cap, no sprayer wand, no mounting screws for pump, no i structions to attach pump to hoses

It was easy to assemble. The MOE worked well. Using a zero turn mower it pulled well. I ended up with a good weed kill throughout the entire yard.

Product was excellent as designed, but a collossal headache to assemble. Many pre-drilled holes did not match up and had to be reamed substantially to fit. Quality control from foreign manufacturers is the pits!

Excellent product, meet my expectations, complex but easy Installation, nice quality I recommend.

No, it did not meet my expectation. I received the sprayer in a broken box, Parts were missing. I had to order over $300 in parts just to make it work. No sense dealing with customer service as they have been difficult. I will never order items and have them delivered to the store.

Avoid this sprayer. It is poorly consturcted as well as designed. The pump motor doesn't work. To get it to spray I had to insert the hand wand into the tank AND then it doesn't mix on exit. The tires won't hold air even after several attempts to fill. Save yourself the problems, don't buy this piece of junk. I ended up buying a FIMCO Sprayer - which works great!

I did not get a chance to try with fertilizer yet because of the drought we are currently drought we are in. I did run water through it to calibrate it per the size of my yard and that worked great.

Love the idea of this. Took maybe an hour to set up. Got the tanks filled and found the battery lines to be too short to reach either to my side by side or tractor batteries. I can find a fix, but that was the first issue. Once i got power, the pump turns on but wont prime, meaning i get no spray. All kinds of great ideas online but none worked. Instructions for this were poor. Connected a garden hose to the pump and i got spray. Take the hose off and the pump wont draw water. Spent half a day trying to figure it out and gave up. Still under warrant, but bought online, so hoping not to go through a painful process to get a fix.

The Sprayer worked great

I have a 1/2 acre property with lots of trees and needed something to spray fertilizer on the yard and bug killer on the trees/lot. Had it for 6 moths when the pump went out and was leaking through the manifold. Called Chapin and they did sent out a replacement part. Stored it over the winter in an enclosed shed, went to use it this spring and now the external bypass is leaking and wont hold pressure to use the wand/handheld sprayer. Looked around for a replacement 0-ring or the c-3 external bypass part witch should be like $20, instead chapin only sells this small plastic part with the entire faceplate assembly and want $130 for it...Totally ridiculous!! I'm trying to figure out a way to bypass this part altogether but as of now its useless. What a waste of money and i am very disappointed in the product and the company who make it.

NO! I got the box and half the parts were gone! No wheels, no carriage for the tank. EXCELLENT DISAPPOINTED!!!!

No way to mount pump and way to hook pump to battery No one would answer the phone

Bought this sprayer as I liked the ‘mixes on exit’ idea. Have used it 3 times. First time, the trailer broke. Customer service sent a replacement within 2 weeks. Second time, the mixes-on exit mechanism failed and was sending water to the chemical tank. Customer service sent a replacement. Yesterday and for the 3rd time (having replaced the mix on exit valve), the same valve leaked and sent more water to the chemical tank. I’ve now given up. It would be a fantastic product if only it works. Customer service is however exceptional.

I really like the design. it was a bit of a complicated assembly and only had instructions for the sprayer part, not the cart. When i tried to use it, I can’t get it to reliably prime. it worked for 20 min or so then stopped when i changed chemicals and wouldn’t prime at all. I’m also not sure it was pulling from the chemical tank, as i was using a strong week killer and all those weeds are still bright green….

Got delived to my house with damage to the box, taped up like it had been repackaged. Started assembly and noticed that the main tank lid was missing at a minimum. Customer sevice said i could bring it in to them, or call homedepot.com for better results….call homedepot.com…

I had read it would spot spray at the same time as boom, it does not. I had hoped mix on exit would mean chemical mixing after tank water passed through the pump, but not so. But the fact of switching chemicals quick and easy is superior, without cleaning main tank. Boom spray covers well, but volume exiting means slow speed.

Easy to Assemble, Easy to use. Perfect for the 2.7 acres I need to maintain, from garden to lawn, works great! Have used twice, both boom and wand flawlessly.

Pump didn't even last a year, switch broke on first use, bypass valve is jacked. Chapin has some serious quality control issues with this product. It's such a great idea though that I'm not willing to give up on it. Currently I am rewiring a new inline switch and trying to get ahold of chapin to replace the pump. I have no idea how this thing made it to market though with how poor the reliability seems to be, did they even test the thing?

This sprayer works so well. The spray width coverage is very wide. The only issue I have is I ordered the additional chemical tank #97361 from Home Depot. It was the only one I saw online, so I assumed it would fit. It doesn't. After digging deeper into all the specs, now I see that #97561 is the one I needed. Unfortunately, I filled 97361 with a chemical before trying to attach it, so I doubt I can return it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Chapin mixes on exit sprayer a few months ago and was unable to use this right away due to inclement and wintery weather. After assembling the sprayer we were able to do our entire large yard in no time. This product efficiently releases whatever liquid product needed to maintain a lush and healthy lawn.

Mixing on exit is the best thing going. Only water in the large tank and having to only clean the small tank is awesome.

I had to order a new pump immediately because the one that came on it didn't work. It took about 10 days to get a replacement. Other then that it looks well-built.

I just purchased this sprayer PAID someone to put it together. Just mixed my herbicide, filled the 25 gallon tank with water and the pump does not work. It will not spray. This is the 2nd hour now into trouble shooting. Watched the video regarding priming the pump...didn't work. Now I have to empty the tanks and drive it 30 minutes to return at Home Depot. Do not waste your time or $. It simply doesn't work at all!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This item is so amazing. The fact that it mixes the chemicals/ingredients as it is leaving the item is such a great feature. It takes the guess work out of measuring and getting the proper ratio to make it work perfectly for whatever you need. I also like that the water and chemicals/other mix in ingredients do not sit together in a big tank and loose it potency after time bc it was premixed.

This is one of the worst experiences I've had with a product purchased through Home Depot. I received this product in multiple boxes and boxes within boxes. Each box had its own instructions. There was no end user manual covering the assembled product. In some cases, parts were there that were not in the parts list. In other cases, parts were missing ... important parts like the sprayer wand and the wire to connect the pump to the tractor battery. The instructions had NO information on how to connect each of those separate components to the other. There are a slew of mystery hoses, bolt holes, and straps. Apparently the end user is supposed to just guess how it all fits together. Or, maybe I should consult the Ouija board for guidance. Seriously, there is NO end user manual. If I can ever figure out how to put this thing together, I'll still have no clue how to operate it. Which, I suspect is impossible anyway without the missing wire from the pump to the tractor battery. The instructions say nothing about a wire, so I don't even know what I should buy to make it functional. But, there is definitely a wire in the video. Given the many good reviews, all I can figure is that the manufacturer decided to unload miscellaneous pieces-parts to clean out their warehouse because I sure didn't get the same product other reviewers got. Unfortunately, I've spent 2 months of my free time trying to figure this thing out only to realize I apparently paid full price for remnants. I'm past the return window and don't have the time nor energy to fight with it any longer. Home Depot should be embarrassed to carry any of this company's products.
