A lightweight, light-filtering privacy blind that looks good and is easy to operate. The Roman Shade by Chicology is a cordless shade that can be installed in under 15 minutes with only a Philips screwdriver. The shade has four magnetic bar/strips that allow for three larger (16 inch) and one-half (8 inch) size panels to be raised or lowered in sections quickly. I like the no pull strings to wind up or adjust so that the shade is level. The material is light filtering and not room darkening so you can have the shade down during the daytime and not need to turn on a light. Material is fabric-looking polyester so soap and water cleanup. I found the shade to be very functional, easy to install, and somewhat attractive. However, the shade does look “less than” when compared to my other Roman shades but those also cost twice as much. I think this shade is a very budget-friendly buy with good quality and workmanship. Made in Taiwan, recommended.

These Chicology Cordless Roman fabric blinds are easy to operate, simply lift the shade to several pre-fixed magnetic levels, as the strong magnets will easily attract to the desired height. Being cordless makes these blinds child safe and pet friendly, and available in a variety of fabrics, adding an accent to any window covering. Installation is easy with 2 brackets and all the hardware is included, with the width being a half inch deduction, so 34 inches is actually 33.5 inches. My overall assessment is these blinds feel lightweight and the durability comes into question, along with having fabric covering the window, which toe appears to be unappealing with the plain tan colors, maybe something in a plaid or other print would change my mind, but I still sway to Aluminum or Slat style blinds.

The Chicology Runway Ready-Made White Cordless Light Filtering Magnetic Fabric Roman Shade is a perfect way to add some privacy while allowing some light into a room. It doesn't darken at all, but affords some privacy and reduces direct sunlight. The fabric was somewhat wrinkled when it arrived. The Chicology shade is actually a little easier to install than most horizontal blinds. The magnets make it easy to raise and lower the shade in 16 inch increments.

This Chicology Runway Ready-Made Tan Cordless Magnetic Roman shade is amazing! The light filtering feature is superb. Keeps out light and heat. And no more strings. Roman shades use to have miles of string to make them operate. This magnetic shade needs no strings. It is super easy to install on the inside or outside of the frame. We used it on a back door that has a small window that lets in a LOT of light and heat in the summer. It works pefectly! If you mount it on a metal door like we did, be sure and place your mounts on the frame of the door so it doesn't pull out. The shade even comes with a handle so you don't have to be handling the fabric all the time. Wonderful product!

Roman shades are so stylish it is no wonder they are so popular! AThis shade is perfect for full glass doors or longer windows. If you get direct sun, this shade filters the light without darkening the room drastically. The magnetic bars hold the shade very well when you want it open. I expect this will be much easier to clean than mini blinds! Very easy to install, this is a good DIY product.

The blinds look nice and are super easy to adjust up and down. Installation was very easy and the blind itself attaches to the mounting frame with Velcro. The Velcro is nice because you do not need to be under the shade to install like other roman shades. You can also take them down to easily spot clean them. They are made of polyester and allow just enough light to be let in. The one down side is that when you raise them to the maximum height, the layers fabric are dark and there is a strip on the top of a single layer that shows lighter.

My balcony door is 50% glass and our old privacy shade blocks all light out. We switched to a curtain but realized in early mornings the sun is blinding. So we decided to try the Chicology Runway Ready-Made White Cordless Light Filtering Magnetic Fabric Roman Shade and it filtered just enough light to fill the room and not blind us. The instructions were simple, the hardware was straight forward and It was simple to install. 4 screws 2 brackets and a screw driver and/or drill was all i needed. I really like the lightweight fabric and the magnetic rods that help snap the shade up at 3 various levels. My only minor complaint is that I feel the mount itself could have been thinner/slimmer due to the fact you can't completely open your door flush to the wall but that is minor. Also in the few weeks I've had this shade I already see my kids dirty hand prints all over the shade but clean up is as simple as using a slightly soapy towel and wiping clean.

This shade is a nice product. It was more cream/beige than I expected based on the online photos, but it's not yellow - just not as white as I preferred. The magnets are nice and strong and it was very easy to install. Be sure the window/door has ample space for the brackets before buying. Overall, it's a good product and we would likely buy it again.

Not quite what I was expecting, but turns out to be quite useful and easy to use and adjust. We put this on our front window pane near our computer. No matter what shade, film, etc. we already have installed, there sometimes still just too much light hitting our monitor. Adding this shade to the mix just made it easier to get the right amount of light with its easy to fold up adjustments. Now if there is too much light I can just reach over and flip down or up if I need more light without getting out of my chair. BEST FEATURES: Easy and quick to install. You don’t even have to be precise with the mounting brackets. The Hanger clips into the mounting brackets very easily. The handle makes it easy to grasp and fold the shade to wherever the preset magnets are set at which hold the fold in the shade in its place. All required hardware included. It looks good whether fully down or kept up in its full up position. I LOVE that the shades are attached by VELCRO which makes this blind easy to REMOVE and CLEAN! Keeping it clean with ease (i.e. easy removal and re-installation) it the BEST PART of owning these shades.

Chicology's Cordless Roman Shade has light-filtering yet privacy-providing material. This shade fits windows 31 inches or wider depending upon the look you are going for (inside mount or outside). The color of the material on this cordless Roman Shade is grey. The fabric is smooth and seems that it will be easy to clean. I used this shade in my chicken supply room on my henhouse because it is light-filtering and easy to use. To close/cover window opening, just pull down on the fabric. To open/uncover window opening, grasp fabric end/row with magnet and lift up to the length/row you desire. Goodbye pull cords or twist wands! Very stylish looking, too!

This Chicology - Chicology Runway Ready-Made Tan Cordless Light Filtering Magnetic Fabric Roman Shade 23 in. W x 64 in. L was a hood solution for the windows on our french doors. The blinds filter light nicely and the magnetic strips enable me to easily put them up and down at various heights. They are a good vale for the price and look pretty nice

My current door window shade is a roll up/down and works but it is extremely bulky and prevents me from opening my door flush to the wall... maybe 3/4 way open to be exact. But I came across the Chicology Runway Ready-Made Grey Cordless Light Filtering Magnetic Fabric Roman Shade. And I was surprised how easy it was to install and use. The instructions - 1 page and the hardware is included. I like how it is lightweight and let's a lot of light through the glass door, prevents the blinding sunlight during early mornings and late afternoon but still prevents anyone from looking into the house. The several magnetic strips help fold the shade up various levels to let more of less light in. (To look outside or for indoor plants) My only concern was it still sticks out from door but and i can't completely open the door flush to wall but it is definitely slimmer and I can almost open about 7/8 completely which is still a win. It is also very easy to clean, just wet a cloth and wipe dust and dirt away. A privacy option is also available online for those who want less light in if thats what you're looking for.

This cordless Roman shade arrived in good condition, well packaged. It appears to be made in Taiwan. It is easily installed in only a few minutes using four screws into your window frame. The instructions to detail how to easily raise and lower this simple and elegant shade by magnet attachment. The shade is held on to the mounting bracket by strips of Velcro, making it easy to remove for cleaning. I can’t speak for longevity, but I expect it to last a reasonable amount of time.

We had vertical blinds in our bathroom over the tub and my wife wanted something else. The Chicology Runway Ready-Made White Cordless Light Filtering Magnetic Fabric Roman Shade 36 in. W x 64 in. L, Runway White (Light Filtering) was an elegant replacement. Install was very simple and completed in under five minutes. There are two heavy plastic hangers which hold the support bar. The fabric is removable for easy cleaning of the shade. This shade does not block light but rather filters most of it out. The bottom magnet bar has a convenient clear handle too adjust the fabric between bars. Connect them all together to fully raise the shade or skip one or two to adjust the height.

This is a unique modern concept for window shades and a good alternative to traditional ones. It provides a quick an easy way to allow pre-determined amounts of light into your home. My spouse really likes these types of shades but I did not share her enthusiasm initially. They are however starting to grow on me because of the versatility/simplicity of use and ease of installation. This particular model has 13 color options. It comes in either 64” or 72” lengths and there are 8 different widths from 23” to 48”. If you need a length shorter than 64”, you cannot remove sections like traditional roller shades. You need to basically bend a lower section upwards and attach magnetically to the appropriate section above it. Repeat as needed. These shades are fairly easy to install in either an inside or outside mount. It takes only 2 screws on each of the end brackets. Please make note that for an inside installation you need 2” depth to accommodate the bracket and that measurements are ½” shorter than stated. One interesting thing I noticed is that the installation instructions are in English only which is unusual these days.

I've always thought these shades looked nice and wanted one for a window on the South side of my home. This arrives with all the hardware you'll need to install, even drywall anchors. Simply screw the two brackets to the wall and snap the shade in place. The shade is tan on the interior side, and tan with large white magnet sections on the back side. Not a big fan of the white lines across the outward facing surface. They should match the tan fabric in my opinion. This really detracts from the look you want from a Roman style shade. Lifting and pulling the shade is easy, but sometimes it will drop from the top when all you wanted to pull down was a bottom panel. You also need to make sure you line it up perfectly when raising the panels or the magnets won't click together, or they'll look uneven and sloppy. The magnets aren't super strong and if any fabric gets in the way they will not hold and the drape will fall over the window. Overall it's cute,installs easily, but the white magnet strips along the outside and the weak magnets are two things I do not like about it.

These were just what I needed to replace very old yucky blinds on a limited budget. They were easy to install and look great. Thanks so much for making such a high-quality product!

This is a nice Cordless Roman Shade for the price. The material is is very well made Polyester blackout shade that has a blackout liner in the back. The provided hardware is easy to install by either top mount or face mounting clip. There are no pull cords to operate the shade. To operate the shade you pull the bottom rail and to roll up you simply apply an upward pressure and it will slowly lift.

These blinds are a beautiful fabric. They are chocolate brown so they go with any decor. The material is soft and easy to spot clean. The blinds go up and down easily. I love that they are cordless so I do not have any safety concerns for my kids or animals getting caught in the cord. I also like that this shade is light filtering so some light comes through, however I still have the needed privacy of the blind. I would recommend this product to anybody needed a new shade.

This Belgian chocolate cordless privacy shade in the Roman style is stylish and gives you the privacy needed. No cords to get tangled up! All you have to.do is pull them down by the pull already on the shade. To open them up ,is just a touch away! The front side is a chocolate color and the back is a white fabric side. Hardware to mount the shade is included. Down near the bottom of the shade is a stabilizer bar on each side to keep the shade taunt if that's what you want. If you don't want to use them,the shade looks and works just fine.It filters the light very well.I would recommend these for any room!

This is a nice shade which has a white backing cloth, and in this case, a dark brown fabric facing inwards. The unit comes with 2 box clips which you can use to mount this either inside a window well on the upper side, or flush on the wall above the window. Then if space is needed like for a door, you can do some minor fabrication, and drill a couple holes in the back side of the top of the shade. I show some pictures mounting it on a door window, but considering this particular shade was listed at 64" length, realize when the shade is fully up, it covers about 12 inches or so below the mount. So if you want the window fully uncovered to allow in sunlight, then you must ensure your measurements add at least 12 inches, and the space above the window has at least 12 inches available to mount. Otherwise as you can see in my pictures, a substantial portion of the top side of the window will be covered if you are trying to cover a 64 inch sized window. Outside of that planning issue, this is a nice shade which works pretty well. As in many other cordless shades, it can still be raised and get uneven if you do not gradually push up on the shade evenly. I do recommend this if it fits your needs.

The shade in my guest room finally bit the dust and I found this one as a perfect replacement. It blocks the sunlight well especially considering I put it in a west facing window!! Installation is a snap: 4 screws to mount the brackets (2 per bracket) and snap the shade into place. I love the fact that there's no cord to pull, just lift up from the bottom when the shade is down or pull down from the top when the shade is up. Took about 10 minutes from start to finish to mount the shade.

I like to block out the sun on our front door during the summer as it just gets too hot at the front of the house but I like the light to come through during the winter and these Roman shades does the trick. Easy to install and very easy to use. Simply pull down at the plastic tab when you want shade/privacy and push up when sunlight is desired. The front is a nice dark chocolate color and the rear layer is white. Looks nice and works well.
