This entryway storage solution is exactly what I was looking for to convert a small former laundry room into a new coat/mudroom. I also purchased the shoe storage.
What I like about this piece:
- Sturdy, seems like it's made to last.
- Hangs on wall so it frees up floor space.
- Well organized and thought out.
- Ample hanging rod and shelf space.
- Solid construction and heavy duty rods.
- Awesome drawer baskets and slide out key hanger.
What I would improve:
- More FastCap stickers to cover all the holes would have been nice. I bought a box separately.
- More color/finish choices would have been great for those of us who are not building this storage solution into a reach in or walk in closet.
- The price is a bit steep compared to similar items I considered.
I didn't even attempt to DIY and hired a professional carpenter to build it. It took a few hours to complete assembly and installation.
Overall, I am happy with the product.
We have only had it for a bit over a week and I am yet to hang all the family coats and shoes to see how well it holds a heavier load. Time will tell how it holds up with daily use and abuse from a family with kids.
