When you get to the final step of putting the screws in. the shelf would rip and small pieces would fall off . i bought 2 of these and they both did the same thing .

Was easy to put together, using to support a slab door to create a sewing area after all these years of using a table or kitchen counter. No more having to haul my “stuff” in and out and here and there. Am loving it!

Is very fragile...u have to nail the back...y when you think you have it like up...and enough space for the nail...is get busted in the front...

I'm so happy I purchased this cube storage unit for my sewing room. I was able to fit 200 pieces of cotton fabrics wrapped around comic boards in the nine cubes. Prior to getting this organizer, all the fabrics were hiding out in drawers and plastic totes. Now I can see what I have and hopefully use them up. I love the way it looks in my sewing room and it was super easy to put together.

after not receiving my package i decied to go purchase the product in store when trying to set up the product the pieces would not fit when i tried to put them together they than ripped threw the top and the side boxes broke also!

I ordered 2 of the cube organizers. The first one arrived and my daughter and I put together easily. The second one came later and only half of the pieces were inside a taped up box. It was missing hardware and wooded squares. I am not happy at all it is absolutly usless!

I think if I my hand drill I could do a better job. The particle board kept cracking, pegs did not fit, warning label should say fragile not meant for personal use

Good product if you put it together with care , Price should be around $25 that's why is missing one star.

I had a open concept to my kitchen and another doorway opening into my kitchen so to inhance the door frame without the cost of ripping it out I put the 36x36 9 cube organizer in which fit perfectly. Purchased 9 ( 11x11x11) boxes made a great big difference and added space.

Good product. Quite heavy (a good thing) easy to assemble. However for added rigidity I glued all joints and added a 1/8" Masonite covering the entire back, plus 2" in height to prevent items placed on top from falling behind. Overall a great product an a great value!

This is one of my favorite organizing tools for craft spaces. It is very versatile - you can insert baskets or bins for storage or books and decorations. I was able to assembly it on my own in about an hour.

Screws cracked every board. I have built others and need more, however it definitely won't be this one. Keep looking!

I've based my whole game room off this product. Extremely versatile, you can just mix and match and stack to get the look you want. Easy to put together. Perfect for anyone who wants a clean look with out having to make custom shelves.

Very easy to assemble!! Better then that they look so much better then traditional book shelves.

Love theses however I highly recommended you check your local store before ordering on line to my surprise the Home Depot about 50 miles away was a whopping $13.00 lower than on line

Cheap cheap cheap, bought 3 one had a crack on 3 pieces. Had 2-3 screws on each strip out. One had a side screw blow out for what appeared to be nonreason. If you have a choice buy something else

Easy to assemble took about an hour to do both cubes, direction where straight forward. Put the (2) 9-cube organizers back to back and placed a larger table top, on top, to make a cutting table for wife to do her to cut her material and the cubes are used to store whatever she wants.

This Closet Maid 36 inch X 36 inch gray stackable 9 cube organizer is a great solution for keeping my stuff from chaos. It took me less than an hour to put together. The instructions were very clear and the pieces and hardware are of a good quality. The cube spaces can hold my folded clothes and accessories, since I sold my dresser and am not sure I want to replace it. I can see this being very useful in a college dorm, or placed in a walk in closet to organize shoes, sweater, purses, just about anything. The construction is particle board covered by laminate. But if you are away from any water, this should never be an issue. My only disappointment was the colorful bins that are in the picture are not included. I do think your stuff looks neater when it is in those bins. So, I will either have to “purchase separately “, or try to keep my stuff neater looking. It’s a pretty good product and I would recommend.

The Closetmaid stackable cube organizer is a must have for anyone looking for an affordable organizer for a small space. Installation was easy, it took me about an hour to put it all together and that was because I had my 2 toddlers to attend to occasionally. What I love the most about the organizer is that, it is built to last. This organizer was put in my boys’ room and it has been nothing but joy. They can organize their toys in the cubes and it has helped keep their room tidy. It is sturdy and durable, I see it lasting for a long time. Highly recommend it.

This 9-cube organizer is really a nice piece of furniture. It was very straight forward to put together. The quality is very good. It looks great in any room, and you can add draws to it if you want. It's very solid, but its not so heavy you cannot move it around easily. This is great for a bedroom, or college dorm room. It has a stylish look, and I would recommend it.

The ClosetMaid stackable 9-cube organizer in gray is more of a warm beige grey; the laminate on the cube is printed with a smooth wood grain pattern. At 36 inches by 36 inches, this laminate unit is quite sturdy and heavy. It does come with optional gray panels to close off the squares, but I've chosen to keep mine off. This organizer does provide a wall restraint feature as well to prevent the organizer from tipping over. I would recommend taking care with the dowel and shelf placement to avoid breaking the dowels and/or the dowel hole on the shelf being installed.

The 36 in. x 36 in. Gray Stackable 9-Cube Organizer by closetmaid is a basic 6 cube organizer that fits the basic storage needs. The assembly is not too difficult though the instructions and the labeling of the items besides the "B" board are lacking so take care to lay everything out first. The boards are thinner then other types of shelves, which speaks to the price of the shelves. I would strongly suggest you use wood glue in the dowel areas to lock things together. I was disappointed many of the edges where not finished and the screw holes not countersunk. The back especially looks not finished so needs to be against a wall , etc. I am in the future going to add a back to it. Note this review is for an item in this price range of the $50 range

The nine cube organizer is a beautiful addition to any room. Wood is a modern gray color that doesn't block the grain pattern of the wood from showing. Unit is one whole piece and not stackable and unstackable once assembled. Openings fits a standard basket you would use in a storage unit. Assembly is easy and shouldn't take you more than thirty minutes.

This was destined to help my teenage son organize his room. So, I had him assemble it on his own. It came well packaged and well protected with layers of Styrofoam. He was able to assemble it without any prior experience building one of these. All he had was the instruction manual and he was able to assemble it on his own (with the necessary tools). He has everything put in the correct place and it looks good. It is of a thinner board than some of the more expensive ones I’ve seen but it seems sturdy enough when it’s all assembled. The five spots that have backing really make the difference in the sturdiness. The finish looks good and is of a neutral tone which blends in well with the rest of the house. I’m looking forward to my son using this to clean up!

The organizer is great for cubbies, baskets, and toys. The color is much nicer than the standard black or white organizers. The wood grain pattern is nice and I like the color. It was pretty easy to assemble and only took 10-15 minutes (included chasing a toddler running away with the parts). It's pretty sturdy and build well. I like that it comes with a mounting bracket for attaching to the wall, it comes with plastic inserts to cover where the screws go, and it comes with extra dowels for attaching other units. The back panels are nice but we decided not to use them because of the color of the wall behind it. The instructions were decent and on par with other furniture. We are using it for storing toys in an attempt to keep things organized.

We have this cube organizer in our daughters play room. It sees a lot of abuse from a two year old, and I have no worries about it coming apart. She is constantly pulling bins out of it and slamming toys back in it with no issues. There are no chips on the finish, and it is just as stable as the day I put it together. It is made of thinner material, so the weight is kept down, but I would like to see one that is a bit more "industrial" feeling. Thicker material so we could use one to keep heavier items in, or to set a TV on top of or something like that. I do not feel that this one would comfortably hold the weight of a TV. Good buy for the kids room.

The only problem is the plastic plugs that are supposed to stick in the heads of the screws. They stick out to far and keep falling out.
