These stakes are super strong, I was attempting to use composite stakes in my hard clay soil and finally gave up and bought these. They worked great.

Longer and stronger than the ones that are built in to the edging.

Item returned wrong size. Definitely a solid choice if I measured correctly.

Easy to install, the brown is not noticeable when you add the mulch. Prevents mulch from running off during heavy rain.

The stakes were fine, but could have been just a little longer.

Easy to make curves

I switched from the typical steel edging to this brown edging to retain softball-size river rock. Not only is the river rock heavy we expected foot traffic due to the fact this surrounds the patio. We used the COLMET steel edging and the 12" stakes to secure the heavy load. We also used the splice stakes to cover the area's metal joined to ensure our pets were safe and to reinforce the joined areas. Absolutely would buy this edging, long stakes and splice stakes again. Worth every penny.

The stakes are great. I use them instead of the stakes from the edging. I remove the stakes from the edging. Makes for a clean joint. You don't need the joiners. I use a joiner at ends.

Excellent edging stake!

These have so far worked for what I wanted - to keep stone edging upright. They are thick and substantial and won't be bending at all.

Fairly easy to use would have loved to have some 2 foot sections.
