Easy install; brighter lights for my aging father’s bathroom and hallway.

We had 20 year-old recessed lights, and while they still worked, they just looked really old and dingy. So we bought these commercial electric LED lights and they were so easy for my husband to install and look so much better and we can see so much better!!

These lights work just as advertised and are super easy to install -IF- you have existing can light fixtures. All you have to do is screw in the electrical connection as you would a light bulb. The spring clips slide up into existing can light tabs. Be sure to select your color temperature BEFORE you install them. I prefer the warmest look at 2700K. Many LEDs are just too cold and blue. Works fine with dimmer compatible with LEDs.

Bought a 1996 house that had no lights upstairs (NONE) and old incandescent can lights downstairs half hazardly placed. Will be doing the whole house over. Two rooms done upstairs with the Commercial electric cans and trim with multiple color settings (we like the 3,000k). So far so good.

These say upto 35years with a 5 year warranty. I’m on year 2-3 and are already having to replace some. Other than hat they are fine.

One by one the lights flicker and then burn out the color you have selected. Other colors may then be selected, but will also burn out. Unfortunately, we replaced all 12 of our recessed lights in our home with this product. The lack of longevity makes the product worthless, I had standard bulbs lasted longer. While taking this photo one of the lights began flickering and reverted back to the warm white. Warm white lights on left and cool white lights (after burn out) on right.

Definitely would buy again.

I replaced 13 incandescent can lights with these and wow, what an improvement. Some tips I read online: 1) make sure you set the desired warmth level on all the lights before installing 2) if they are on a dimmer, set the dimmer to the brightest setting before you cut the power to install the lights I had to switch out the spring brackets for the (included) tension/blade brackets, which was straightforward and worked well for my application. Very satisfying DIY upgrade!!!

I bought 4 of these units to use in the eave cans in my sheltered patio in 2018. I thought this would be fine since they are "wet" rated and the installation is very protected from any direct moisture. Evidently, the steel of the trim ring could not hold up to the high humidity of Houston summers. 2 of the 4 showed visible signs of rust after 2 summers. The lights still work great (as they did on day one) and I love the ability to change the color temperature. These would be fine for a location where the average humidity is below 80% (which is NOT outdoors in the south). Caveat Emptor.

I bought these and set to 3000k throughout our entire home. We have SO many of these installed. I love the 3000k color and having every overhead light match is something I must have taken for granted before. It's warm but not too yellow and the install crew had no problems whatsoever with these on the cans they used. Photo attached shows a larger room with over 10 visible in one space. Light fixture is Safavieh Telta 10-Light Gold Painted Rustic Chandelier and it is fabulous.

I love brilliant colors options and my favorite is 4100K. I replace 28 recessed lights and only took one hr to replaced them. All of my family love the new look and so did I.

Product was super easy to install! I wasn’t sure how these would look but they look amazing and the back of the fixture has different lighting levels to choose from.

These lights are fantastic. Simple install and cleanest look. May be the most affordable light upgrade ever. Color selections are spot on. Compatibility with my Lutron dimming c-L switches is perfect.

While the product is supposedly suitable for dimming, it has an annoying occasional flicker when used with certain dimmers. It works fine with an undimmed circuit.

The product is good and easy to install

Most pleased with these units. Almost a no brainer. Almost as easy as replacing the old incandescent light bulb, but, you get a color adjustable light, a fresh trim ring and a great looking light all in one quick task. I like the color (warmth tone) adjustment.. Oh, and it is an LED so it will last a LONG time and use much less energy.

Lights r very bright & adjustable

This is an outstanding LED lighting retrofit trim. I had been changing my recessed lighting from incandescent to LED. These were simple to install and, best of all, the 5 way color warmth selection enabled me to adjust the light quality in varied locations. For example I use the 3500 setting for task lighting in my kitchen, 2700 for relaxed lighting in hallways and family rooms. So I can select the light quality to fit the location. I installed these in January 2019. No complaints. I'm surprised that every retrofit trim is not like this and that they are not readily available in store. I only discovered these while on Home Depot's website.

Easy to install, looks great. I recommend these to anyone who is looking to add or update the lighting in their home. The lights are bright and clear, so I recommend installing a dimmer switch at the same time. I will only use these lights from now on, and any property that I work on and it calls for switching out lighting.

One of the Best Can-light Retrofits I have ever used. Each color seems to be accurately represented from 2700k to 5000k (I checked with a spectrometer) Also the Lumens I believe are a bit understated at 700 Lm. I checked with a lux meter and measured about 820 though I was perhaps a bit closer than a meter. They Dim quite nicely down to almost nothing. Be sure to use an appropriate dimmer (Lutron moakes a good one)

Got the 2 and 4 pack and Installed them in the kitchen for nice clean look and more efficient usage. The six of them together are BRIGHT, yet only consume 54W (9W each), less than one bulb consumed before. I have yet to install a dimmer switch, which is one of the reasons I chose this model. The color temp selector switch is an awesome feature – whomever thought of that deserves a raise. The switch allows to select a desired color temp for each bulb ranging between 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, 5000K. Perfect way to match current lighting or change color temps when desired. The light would need to be pulled out of the ceiling can to access the switch. Super easy installation into existing recessed lighting ceiling cans. Mine were 6”, but these are also suitable for 5” installation via a minor adjustment. Can be hardwired (by cutting off the plug) or installed into an existing regular bulb base using the included adapters. Once installed correctly, they sit flat against the ceiling and look great! The entire once-piece unit has a solid feel and provides great wide angle light output. This is definitely a 5-star product.

Install was quick and painless. At first, they would not sit flush by I found that pushing a bit on the trim near the light resulted in a slight flex and just enough for the spring clips to keep all the lights tight to the ceiling….perfect!

I really like the option to change the light temperature and it works well with my dimmer. It has only been installed a week so I am hoping it lasts a long time.

We used these to replace our ugly can lights and it looks so much neater. I like the fact that you can adjust the brightness as well and I won't have to grab a ladder to change a bulb.
