It did the job but it isn't anything special. I could not get it to punch down and cut off as well consistently. That is what this tool should do and do it well for the price. Also, I didn't get the sense that the impact adjustment worked well. Maybe with more use my impression will improve. As I said, it does do an okay job of actually punching down wires. Mine were on RJ45 female connector Keystones on the "in-wall" side of the Keystone.

Better ones out there for a few dollars more

This is not a heavy duty production tool but is adequate for light to medium duty. The blade is not as well finished as a Harris Punch down tool which is a top quality production tool

Not all pins are crimped. Luckily only one pin that is not used for ethernet at this time is affected. I returned the first one to get a second one and the same thing has happened. First one was one that was needed. Will not purchase this brand again. I do not recommend purchasing this crimp tool.

While the tool worked reasonable well for punching down and trimming wires, the head did not secure well to the handle and disconnected several times. I would recommend finding a different tool that doesn’t come apart unexpectedly during use.

A website had suggested that I could crimp a RJ-45 connector with a small screw driver. I could not and this tool did the job just right on RJ-45 and RJ-11 connectors. Crimped connections feel solid. Need to be watchful with stripping. Aggressive stripping may cut small wires as well. Tool feels sturdy and hopefully lasts a long time. Handles are comfortably padded.

Simple and just as good as any Klein tools I got

It's a standard punchdown tool... not super cheap but the cutter misses a lot even after multiple strikes and wires have to be manually cut often. It works, but I've had better like West Penn and Klein. Westonetek for $13 on amz was equal to the better ones.

Did the job well. Worked as expected.

At least 2/3 of the time I'd lose a wire when arranging the pin-out. The stripper cuts too deeply and takes one of the conductors with it.

Bought these a few months ago and have been great at the occasional crimping I've had to do on the job. Included wire strippers work very well. I would recommend these to a beginner who has never crimped before.

Works well, strong feel in the hands. Main complaint is the "strip + cut" function leaves too small a length stripped to be useful for adding RJ45 connectors, forcing use of a razor blade to remove more of the sheathing. Granted, tool width would look cumbersome if they fixed this ... just feels like a design miss. Still, overall a great tool - happy with the purchase.

Excellent product. I was previously using an old punch down tool that came in a kit. I wished I had purchased this impact punch down tool back then. Love it and would highly recommend it.

I would prefer pass through crimper which will make the task much easier.

It took awhile to figure out how to use this since there are no instructions but YouTube helped and now I’m an expert.

This tool was perfect for creating the Cat5e cables I needed.
