[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great tools. I’ll start with the needle nose pliers. I used these recently when replacing 40 electric recepticles , and about 20 light switches at home. They worked flawlessly, the jaws have a really gripping surface, have a great feel in your hand. The water pump pliers are just as stout, same quality feel, fit and finish. I used these recently on some 1/2” natural gas line I was taking apart, they really gripped the pipe, no slipping. And last but not least the diagonal cutting pliers, are great also, same quality feel fit and finish, also feel great in my hand. I was using these to cut some #8 stranded copper wire that I was running to my generator, cut with a lot less effort than I expected. All 3 are great tools

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set has been great on job sites. The three pliers in the set meet most needs and are the perfect addition to any tool box. The 8" dual material long nose pliers get into those hard to reach areas and great for removing staples from wood. The 8" dual material lineman's pliers cut through most home wiring with ease and hold up well. The 10" K9 straight jaw dual material tongue and groove pliers are good for basic griping, but them seem to want to slide out of place when pressure is not applied.

The channel locks are loose enough to use with one hand. The lineman pliers are great with the cutters and even the wire stripper made in. The needle nose are long and slender great for getting in tight spaces where it’s needed.

All three open and close smoothly, there’s no sticking and they are not hard to operate. Grip strength is above average. I never felt that the tool would slip off of what I had to grab or hold. Even the needle nose pliers were more than sufficient in grabbing a thin piece of metal to slide it in position. Overall, I would highly recommend any and all of these tools for the diy’er or professional.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great combo set of pliers! Lineman’s pliers are razor sharp and perform great. Adjustable set clamp amazingly and have plenty of leverage. Needle nose set are a great all around plier, gives you plenty of grabbing force and doesn’t allow things to slip out of the jaws. My only complaint is the needle nose have a little twist in the jaws when rotating items with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I've used both the 10inch and the 8inch needle nose both have held up awesome the jaws on the 10inch are still extremely sharp after using it for adjusting tie rods on a customers vehicle and I even left them out it a rain storm and the next day when I found them the rust was minor and they are still just as good as the day I opened them. The needle nose set has a really great set of features and I love the cross hatching on the tips for gripping stripped screws.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed some pliers and I found this three pack of pliers that contains everything that I need and they are Cresent tools brand, so you know they will be quality tools and they did not disappoint. They are the right size and feature without being too heavy - as well all know that may pliers can be heavy and yet not have the right force or gripping teeth to get the job done - not with these - they have what I need to get the job done. From the standard pliers with built in cutting surface to the super long needle nose pliers - to get into the smallest of spaces, and the adjustable pliers, they all are built well. All of the tools have a great surface to the gripping surface, I am sure it is designed to last and also hold tight, they are cross cut on the needle nose pliers - which makes grabbing whatever you are after easy. The adjustable pliers have finger holds built into the rubber hand holds to make getting credence on a nut easy - no more slipping. There is a big plus to this set - they look great in my toolbox, with the black, orange and steel colored design .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So light!!! Tools feel solid but much lighter then what I expected. Very clean black finish. Didn’t chip when thrown around and on roof shingles. Adjustable pliers are flush and work great but is not super easy to adjust to bigger sizes. Very solid once locked in though. Needle nose pliers are flush and work perfectly. A bit stiff but should loosen up over time. Pliers are not flush and a bit frustrating but for bigger than a thin sheet these work great. Again everything is much lighter than expected and has lasted when tossed around.

The grips on these are unbeatable for the price, and each plier feels like a quality tool that’s not going to slip and not going to break. The cutters also are top notch and have no issue cutting stranded wire.

The linesman pliers are great for pulling vinyl tubing through medical equipment. The handles are nice and work well with and without gloves. The metal quality seems alright and is holding up for the job. I am expecting many service years out of this pliers set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Crescent really has stepped up it's game in the last few years. These pliers are really great and feel well made and hit above their price point. After trying Crescent's electrical pliers, I knew these would be good. These are well designed and you can tell a lot of thought was put into the shapes and angles of the jaws, etc. The handle grips are comfortable and made of a durable rubber type material. The handle shape let's you grip with plenty of purchase to hold them tight. Very happy with these!

The handles on all three tools is great, not too bulky and allows for good tool control. The needle nose and lineman’s pliers have great cutting edges and the tongue and groove pliers don’t have any excess slope like all the others I own. With a lifetime warranty I don’t think you can go wrong with this plier set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I snagged up this 3pc set becaue I needed a good set of lineman’s pliers. To have the long nose and straight jaw in the set was an added bonus. I immediately put these to work while restoring one of my project cars. I used the set of lineman pliers to cut through a piece of thick wire to make a transmission modulator pin. I was able to cut through the 1/8” wire with ease. Even though these tools were exactly ideal for the application, I was able to use the long nose and straight jaw while trying to replace some old transmission cooler lines and vacuum modulator. I was able to reach into hard to reach areas with them both and disconnect the lines. With the slim jaw design I was able to reach where I was unable to get a traditional box wrench. Even with my hands coated in transmission fluid, they were firmly gripped in my hands. This 3pc set is definitely worth the buy. Very solid tools with the quality expected from the storied Crescent brand. Another reason why Crescent tools have had the staying power among the market.

Got the big boys now, and still not disappointed. Easily grip any fasteners I put them on. Easily snip wires with a very clean edge and minimal effort to cut. The grip on all of these are great, very easy to handle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The crescent Z2 line have awesome grips which is included on all of the pliers in this set. The linesmen have excellent cutting power and open and close easily with minimal break in time. The water pump pliers adjust nice and easy with great bite and smooth action. They stay in there adjusted position with no slip even under toque. The needle nose have nice grip and come to meet up nicely. They have a built-in wire cutter and a section to grab bolts and nuts. The only downside to them is the tips are a little on the big side but in line with others in the size catagory.

Perfect gift. The needle nose pliers run a little on the large size. I usually use something a little smaller for getting into tight spaces but if you are working with larger material, this is perfect. The tools are durable with good cutting ability. Versatile pliers with many big performance features.. All 3 are really nice to use, sharp jaws, great gripping, cutting, holding, perfect pivoting, near perfect handles- everything they should be. Handles are ‘grippy’ & comfortable but seem to hold grit. Every handle is tether ready. The many features listed in the product overview performed excellent for DIY tasks; electrical & general use. Pliers met & exceeded expectations but for a minor issue. When bending 10 gauge copper wire the long nose flexed, surprising as the pliers seem durable and strong. Otherwise set is amazing and, yes- pricey, but also for professionals & have a manufacturer lifetime warranty and exceed ASME specs. The long nose did go back to a perfect match. Pliers did everything expected but didn’t really surprise me with 35% greater cutting, but maybe for all day use, for a professional they do. Certainly are a pleasure to use and extremely functional. Like the 'fish tape grip' on the tongue & grove pliers, it will be great for pulling fence wire tight. Overall liked the Crescent Z2 3 Plier Set performance for all around use. Especially liked the tongue & groove plier handle non-marring grip feature for tub spouts, etc. One of the many features the Crescent Z2 set has that none of my current pliers do. Satisfied and recommend this plier set. Crescent certainly is stepping up their tool quality and set Z2SET3CG shows that with the many unique features- ‘Trusted by the Trades.’

Relocating to a rural homestead has introduced me to a variety of tools and over the past five years, I find there are only a few "go to" tools that I grab. I chose the Crescent Z2 High Leverage Plier set because those are my "go to" hand tools. When walking a fenceline and making small repairs the lineman's pliers is indispensable to grip and pull wire, attach it with a few twists and clips off 9 gauge wire end with ease. A good tool makes any job a lot easier. Irrigation and auto-waterer lines invariably need tightening. The channel lock pliers quickly adjusts to the size fitting and holds the position as I use it exerting force to tighten a water connection. And the long nose pliers is my "jack of all trades" from removing the insulating jacket off wire or tightening a bolt. . What I like the best about the Crescent Z2 tools I chose is the quality of their construction. Each tool has excellent cross hatching or deep teeth to grip and hold. These improvements plus the ability to leverage the tool to do the work means a lot being female with smaller hands. I like the grip, it's firm but not too spongy or hard. Each tool offers design features that give it extra function. See pics posted below. Overall the Crescent Z2 mixed Plier set is super quality, well made and likely to last a long time. I can highly recommend. The packaging however is a different story. I realize plastic blister pacs make for great product presentations and protect against retail theft but this packaging is near impenetrable with two 1/2"x2" male/female tabs that were heat fused holding blister pac front and back sides together. Problem is you can't separate the front or back plastic layers and must cut out EACH tool separately.

Very good set of pliers, great teeth for great teeth for great gripping power. These pliers are quite heavy and have great grips. The needle nose are a nice length. The pliers have nice teeth for gripping. The channel locks open wide and have great teeth for gripping. Very great addition to my tool box. They should last for a very log time. Very well made tools.

This is a pack of pliers that have many uses. The adjustable pliers open to over 2 inches to allow you to grip a variety of items. The lineman's pliers are made to tight tolerances and have a good hardened cutting edge. The needle nose pliers are also made to tight tolerances and also have a good cutting edge. All these pliers are a good representation of the Crescent name , are built for hard work, and have handles that are easy to grip. I can see these tools in my tool box for many years( or until my son finds them!!)

This is a great 3-piece plied set to add to your collection. Very durable and strong with great cutting and gripping power. Perfect for the professional user or weekend warrior. The handles are comfortable and ergonomic. The jaws are significantly slimmer than a different set I own, so that will be great for tight places. The needle nose pliers have an area built in to grab wire nuts, which is a great feature!

As a DYIer and homeowner, these are pretty good. I can't comment on professional use durability. All three tools have what appears to be firmly molded handles. I've had to throw away other tools because the grips started rotating or falling off. Not good! These feel like they will stay. The linesman pliers indeed can grip and pull a fish tape. I tried it. Getting an idea how long the cutter will last is really unknowable until you use for years. I like the extra grab area for nuts in the long nose pliers. See photo. The tongue and groove pliers pass my 1 1/2" p-trap nut test. They work for that purpose, but still are not overly large. (See photo.) These will go great in the toolbox. I do think there are better slip jaw designs, but these work adequately. Made in both Vietnam and China

These are a great mid-weight, multi-use set. The grips are "grippy" and there is room for a large hand. They are a bit stiff right out the package (which is horrible, non-user friendly packaging that I take issue with because it requires scissors or a knife to open) but they feel good in my hand. On the packaging it says USA but the fine print says they are engineered in the USA but a product of China. This is a good set to keep in any homeowner toolbox.

This review is for the Crescent Z2, 3-Pliers Set consisting of 8-inch long nose pliers (Product Z6548CG), 8-inch linesman pliers (Product Z20508CG) and 10-inch tongue and groove Pump) pliers (Product RTZ210CG). All three of these tools have very comfortable, soft-grip handles with no pinch issues. The long or needle nose pliers has cross-hatch jaws for firm gripping and pulling, a fastener grip area, cutting zone and reaming head area. The lineman pliers can cut up to 6 AWG wire. It has a fish tape grip channel and reaming head. The tongue and groove (pump) pliers has straight grip jaws that can be opened for up to 2-1/8 inches. This tool has with very aggressive teeth and relatively narrow K9 jaws for good access. Wire cutting using these tools is outstanding as is their fit and finish. These tools are a product of Apex Tool Group, Apex, NC. They are manufactured in Vietnam and finished in Mainland, China. These pliers products are a very welcome, quality addition to my toolbox.
