We had a project to finally do out bathroom and decided to go with PRISM based on the fact that it is advertised as a high performance grout that doesn't require sealing. We followed the instructions and mixed the grout using the exact amount of water specified in the instructions. However, the next day I tested the grout just by scratching it with my finger nail and the grout turned to powder. We realize the shower would have failed, so we had to spend hours removing the PRISM grout. In the process out entire house was full with dust. Be aware!!!!!! Do not buy, you will regret it!!!!!!!

Great color looks flawless.

This is not taupe in any sense - it is a winter White. Showing dirt or stain within 2 weeks. Was so hoping for this to be a lite taupe. Disappointed

I bought Platinum for the floor tile. It was the exact color I wanted while wet. Once it dried it appeared white. I had planned to use it on the wall color but decided to get Delorean Gray since it was darker in hopes it would be closer to the color I wanted. I was sadly disappointed when it dried to a 1/2 shade darker than the Platinum - both appear to be white or a hazy LIGHT gray. I mixed to the exact water/grout ratio. I applied as directed. Not sure why or how this happened but will have to learn to like the look. The darker color in the pic is after I had wiped and wet the dry grout (Delorean) and the white grout is the dry. SO disappointed.

This grout is beautiful!!! It's only been one week since we installed our tile in our closet, but we love this grout with the tile we chose. We will installing this in our master bath and laundry/mud room, as well.

I decided to upgrade to this grout for my personal bathroom remodel. Having been a tile contractor I have used a lot of different grouts. This grout was superior to any I've previously used. It mixed smooth and trowels in easy. Cleanup was about the same but the dried grout seemed tougher and much more resistant to possible staining issues.

Calories is not faded after 60 days!

This grout mixed up very easy. It had a nice uniform color. We purchased the Steel Blue and the color was very close to what you see online; maybe a tad bit darker. It applied really nicely. I did take several attempts (5-6) to sponge off from the tiles. I would highly recommend this, especially since the sealer is built in.

I spent a lot of time picking out the grout color I wanted. I ended up going with Platinum. Like some of the other reviews stated, it dried the wrong color! It’s almost white! The color is the right color in some places, and whitish in other areas. The color is not consistent! I spent a lot of money on my shower remodel...now I’m stuck with this grout! I would NOT recommend!

This is supposed to be bone colored. After it dried it was bright white!!!!!! It is lighter than the alabaster which is supposed to be a lighter color than bone! It also dries really fast and is a pain to clean up! It doesn’t wipe up and out of the edges of the tiles well. We matched to the tile in the store and this should have been darker than the tile not bright white!

Worked great with our Daltile Restore Bright White subway tiles. Start small, mix only a small amount at a time, this box includes 2 bags. I mixed no more than 1/4 of a bag at a time sometimes even half of that.

This was supposed to be bone grout! Look at the color on the box. We also compared the tile to the sample in the store! It came out bright white! I have alabaster in the regular grout which is supposed to be lighter than this and it is darker than this.

My installer really liked this grout. He said it was fast and easy to use. I like it because it doesn’t require sealing. The color is off but fortunately that worked out okay as the Bone is white. There is no beige in it as pictured on the bag. And the color didn’t deepen over time. As others have observed, you may want to consider going with a darker color than pictured on the bag.

This color was perfect for our bathroom only used it in the shower.

Great smooth grout...I am a mosaic artist and used it for 2 mosaic floors...I t’s called charcoal but it is black black black.

Needed to remodel the small bath in our house (built in 1960) this included the shower and floor. I have used Custom Building Products grout for years but not the Prism line until now. The prism grout worked perfect, easy mixing (no lumps) and was easy to float, it dose set up faster than the regular line of grout, this can be good or bad depending how fast you work. Cleanup is a bit sticky compared to the regular line of grout but is worth it for a better product, time will tell if it lives up to its "stain resistant - no sealer required" statement. The only downside is that they do not recommend using it with glass tile, had to use the regular smooth grout for those tiles, beyond that, great product.

Prim is very easy to use and help you make a good job!!

The box has two bags and you would assume that they would be the same color as written on the box. NOPE! One bag was "earth" (what I purchased) and the other bag looks like "linen" in the same EARTH box. So now we have half the main room in one color and the other half in a light color. I am so angry I don't even know how to write this review in a calm manner.

This was a great product to use and looked awesome once we got it up!

I purchased Prism grout based on the claims of the product and recommendations to use manually mixed grout on my biggest tile project yet, 345 sf of ceramic tile. I had previously used pre-mixed sanded grout on a couple small entryway tile projects and found it dried quickly and was extremely hard to clean off the tiles before it dried. The Prism grout has finer sand, almost mixes itself into lump free state. I mixed half a bag at a time, and it never dried out on me. My grout lines were 3/16, and it laid in them beautifully. I worked the edges of 4-5 12x24” tiles at a time before floating and wiping clean. It did dry a lot lighter than the swatch on the bag but darkened to a satisfactory color after sealing it. It left a haze on the tiles, which I went back over and wiped off once with water the next day, followed by two cleanings with haze remover, and the tiles looked good as new. Sealed the grout lines (had to let the sealer really soak in to darken the grout) and tiles. My customer is very happy. As far as the grout color, I will simply choose a darker color next time. I will definitely use this grout again.

Their color chart is a joke. Tobacco Brown would have matched my tile perfectly, if it looked like their color chart. It's so pale that it's hard to tell that it is even brown! This is a disgrace and deceptive marketing. HD needs to discontinue this junk.

Best Grout around. Easy to clean. Long lasting on pool tile.

This stuff is worth the extra cost! Stain resistance saves the step of sealing. Be careful though, it sets up a little faster than the regular grout!!

I read on other reviews that it dries quick so I was sure to work quickly i used one bag (1/2 box) and did my whole shower 12x24 tiles. I managed to get it done before it hardened up but just barely. my big problem is the color dried pretty much white. but I used platinum 115. still looks good but may try a small selection first.

Used this product in the "bone" color. This is the first grout job on the first tile job I have ever done. Used it on a tub surround with 12 x 12 porcelain tile. I found the grout easy to apply, pack into the joints, shape, and the haze was easy to remove after a few hours using only cheesecloth to buff the tile. The key is to mix in small batches or if you are working in a large area, or have several people all with their own grout and floats and working together. I put 8 oz of water into leftover quart yogurt tubs, gradually added 2 pounds, 2 oz of grout powder, mixing well with a stir stick, after each addition of powder. Before the last addition of powder, I added about approx. 2 tablespoons more of water. Add the last powder and stir. Rest for 5 minutes, mix and use. The product will flow well and be usable for about 30 minutes. After that it became too thick and grainy and was very hard to push into the joints. Give up then, clean out what is left in the container, and mix more fresh. Worked well for my tub surround and would probably be manageable for shower, but would take some planning for a large floor if you were working by yourself. The setup time is unforgiving. If you can work with the fast setup, the results are great and the color is consistent throughout.
