I have very thick hair so a lot falls our normally with every shower. After 1 year in our brand new house, my hair clogged the shower drain and it took my husband some time to unclog it. We installed this drain and catch and have not had any issues since. Yes, the basket is plastic. Does that matter? Not at all, it is under the drain. I will never not have this product in my shower.

I wanted this exact product and was so excited to get it, but then when I got it out of the package I was unbelievably let down. Some things you should be warned about: - The quality is terrible. Most of it is plastic and not metal. - The center part that comes out with the bucket does not lock in at all. My kids would totally pull that off and shove toys down the drain. - WORST of all... the entire cover doesn't screw on... THE ENTIRE THING is just resting there. It has clips, but those don't do squat. DO NOT BUY THIS.

Does the job. Easy to clean.

This is great for catching hair three girls and we have one in each bathroom works just as it should easy to get to get out and clean it well made too

I have been using the DANCO Hair Catcher for Shower Drain in WHITE. Because of use and age it was time to replace my current hardware. This is a great fit with what I had previously without having to make much alteration. When it is time again I will definitely repurchase for replacement again.

Really just a replacement for one that cracked after perhaps six years or so. Still, it hasn't changed and fit the opening just right!

Shower catcher works hreat

Great product - I have several. It looks good and serve its purpose well. Though I do recommend removing it when cleaning tub with cleaning chemicals which can tarnish it.

I purchased the DANCO Hair Catcher for Shower Drain in Chrome to replace a similar model made of white plastic. Both drains work great at trapping hair but the plastic model lasted less than a year before it cracked and needed to be replaced. I am hoping that the chrome model lasts longer. The drain is easily installed and looks good. Swapping out the baskets makes it easy to maintain the drain and the extra baskets are handy.

Good concept, but it doesn't fit fully in our shower drain. It catches a lot of hair, but it does seem like a sizeable amount goes around the sides. To make it fit better I would need to ream out the drain pipe, but I don't want to void our new home warranty.

Easy to install. Works just as described

Best shower drain hair catcher I've tried and I've tried them all. Fits very flat against the tile in the drain and water drains nicely as it catches hair from going down drain.

Did not fit with the basket thing attached. It made the drain sit up like a 1/2 inch so that you catch a toe on it. Will not sit flush. Returned to store.

Works well if you can get it to fit. I had modify the chromed parts slightly and cut back screw pads in my drain to make it fit. Even then I needed epoxy to fasten the chromed ring. Once installed it looks fine works very well. If you don't mind cleaning the basked occasionally you don't need 5 spares although a spare basket or two might be nice to have on hand. Use tweezers to pull hair out of the basket when cleaning.

The color worked out perfectly for my shower.

This drain cover is touted as universal but although the outer cover was a bit too small (still workable), the top of the basket did not fit in my drain making it basically unusable. Make sure to double check your measurements.
