The flange is made of plastic, but has the price...
The flange is made of plastic, but has the price of it being metal. It is cheaply made and does not seal against the shower wall because the inner ring hits the wall before the part with the gasket. Therefore, the gasket does not touch the shower wall and doesn't achieve it's purpose.

This is excellent quality. My only complaint is that it looks more “polished” and less “brushed.” I have purchased other Danco pieces in brushed nickel, and they all match. This particular piece is shinier and slightly warmer in tone. It “goes” but it is not the same.

These were pretty much the only oil rubbed bronze shower...
These were pretty much the only oil rubbed bronze shower flanges I could find. Luckily they look great and fit perfectly, so it's an easy choice!
