Customer Reviews for DEWALT 1/4 in. Drive Socket Set (20-Piece)

Got this to supplement a tool kit for my daughter. 4mm to 14mm (11 of them) and 5/32" to 1/2" (9 of them) all are 6 point, deep. The things I work on the socket length is usually not an issue, and these provide protruding bolt clearance. The sockets have a small knurled area at the 1/4" socket end to provide a 'finger grip'. These are not the 'HF' soft cheese type of steel. The storage box is a bit overkill. I could probably use as a jack stand for my Jeep. Seriously; 4 latches, (both sides, and a pair in front) to secure it closed, a carry handle, with a full pinned hinge. The side latches stay out of the way even if left un-latched. Probably designed to mate with their other tool boxes and kits. There is plenty of room below the removable 'socket tray' to store a ratchet, extension, flex joint and small open end wrenches and / or other small tools. There is no easy identification of Metric / SAE sockets...other than the stamped numbers. I use a thin strip of colored electrical tape or a paint pen on my other sets to differentiate them.

Good set , good price, fast arrival

I wish I could afford more DeWalt tools, but they are just too much for my budget. I bought these for a valve cover job on my wife's SUV. i needed metric deep well sockets and these were actually the best deal I could find. Love the fact they come in a carrying case, THAT is important to me because we have a house full of cats and I don't use my garage like I should, so having a place to keep the sockets is a big deal.

It was a gift for a friend and he loves them. The quality of the set is great. I have it to him for Christmas.

This is a nice set of sockets. However, the case they come in is much larger than I expected. I was originally going to use them in a 16" toolbag. They're too big for that. I ended up taking them out of the case and set the thay They're in inside a deep drawer in my tool chest.

This deep well 1/4" socket set is great, and worth the price. The case alone is worth it. The sockets have already proven to be tough as nails.

Great socket set, even got an 18mm. The knurled end provides for good gripping and turning by hand and the sizes are stanped and easey to read.

Great price on SAE and Metric set. Case is big useless, but then I discovered the compartment beneath. Put all other 1/4 drive sockets, extensions, and handles in the box. Worked out OK. No such thing as excellent, Good will do.

I'm very pleased with the socket set. It's of excellent quality. The projects i have worked on have been completed and i'm really pleased with the results. I fully recommend this dewalt socket set.
