Probably a good saw for only lightweight use - trim boards, an occasional 2x4 or 2x6. Tried using it to cut several sheets of 3/4 plywood and wound up overheating (and stopping) several batteries. Then the batteries would not charge or re use until they cooled down. I’ve never had a Dewalt drill or driver overheat the battery.

This is the perfect replacement for my 40 year old heavy corded skill saw. Already own the Dewalt leaf blower which has the 5.0 Ah battery pack I can use in the saw. Delivery was much faster than estimated inline, thanks.
