So, I loved this tool set, had it for 3 years. But some of the tools are starting to rust. I have had it in my garage the whole time, is that an issue? I thought these would be better as they are Dewalt! Anything I can do about it?

Great quality and craftsmanship

Received this kit TODAY I am very VERY pleased with the layout and quality of all included components. ONE deep socket was missing! That's right, the 3/16 deep socket is not there. Not worth returning the entire kit over, but quite disappointing. I like the feel and weight of the ratchets! Great finish on all of the sockets and the extensions are VERY nice. vinyl Grip Multi Driver is ok and has lots of various bits for it. Entire kit weighs just under 23 pounds. The bottom side depends on gravity to hold most of the pieces in, the top side holds everything fine, don't open it in reverse of you'll have parts all over the place. I also like the included black rubber divider as it doubles as a staging mat. Would I recommend this kit? ABSOLUTELY! I gave five stars even with the socket missing.

The "star"driver bit , size T20 has already stripped out and is unuseable ! I was using it correctly on a few deck screws and it kept stripping out the screws and then rounded over and is unuseable now ! If the rest of the tools in this set does this it will be the last time I ever buy Dewalt tools . I have only had this set for about two weeks and am very dissappointed in this .

Great product and came quick

Solid ratchets and overall very nice quality set. I got this on sale, so price paid to quality is really off the chart in my opinion. This set comes with all socket sizes, BUT they are distributed throughout via ratchet size. So where you have your 8mm for the 1/4 ratchet, you will not have the size duplicated in the 3/8 or 1/2 sizes. This doesn’t bother me at all, but be aware of it for sure. Also, there are only 7 wrenches. This also didn’t bother me because I have a nice set of ratcheting ones, but this set comes with just a few static. My ONLY negative thus far is that if you close the case incorrectly, half of the set will dump out. Be careful. You’ll want to close it by lifting the side with the wrenches and pull it up and over to close with the side that has the ratchets and most of the sockets flat the WHOLE time. On the plus side, well made case with metal clips. I don’t suspect they will break off like the Crescent set I’ve had before. The set arrived several days before Home Depot projected and they used OnTrac as the currier.

Perfect tool set for any household. Very nicely made, excellent quality and finishing. With the help of this tool set, I have done following jobs - 1. Installing the splash guard under my car 2. Repairing the Driver side window regulator 3. Installing a new clock-spring on my car 4. Extreme overhauling of my bicycle This tool set looks very complete to me and can do most, if not all, of the jobs. Very pleased with my purchase.

Solid built set

What a great buy at $90. Very well made finished in beautiful Chrome. Case is heavy duty with metal latches. Set comes with Dewalt FULL LIFETIME WARRANTY ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,NOT a Limited Warranty as stated on the website. Sockets and extension are etched as not to slip when using without the ratchet with oily fingers. Package the set came in states Hassle free replacement. Might be a good idea to keep the package. You can tell someone put a lot of thought into the selection of tools in the kit. This tool set should last a lifetime.

As expected from DeWalt, great value!

I scored this amazing tool set as a deal of the day / special buy and I couldn't be happier! I love how snug and how well all the pieces fit and release out of the carry case. You don't have to force or pry them in or out...they are a perfect fit! I also like the metal closing latches, as opposed to the black plastic ones that are a pain. Beware, it is obviously a tad heavy, but that doesn't bother me. The whole setup is well-done by Dewalt and is a must have for any household!

Awesome value. Everyone talks about all the positive, I'd rather point out a single negative. Dewalt does not give you anyway to use this ratchet kit with the impact gun. STUPID. There is no adapter, Which would will allow you to use these sockets with the drill or impact gun. So you must buy this piece separately. Im guessing Dewalt wants you to buy them from Dewalt, ....so I bought 3 of them, for each size socket, from a competitor. Not Dewalt. :) image below:

DeWalt in my opinion is the best. The 20-volt lithium is powerful and light weight. This is my 5th Dewalt lithium drill. Great quality. Plus an incredible tool set. The wrench set was well worth what I paid for the whole package. I couldn't pass it up. The plastic case for the wrenches keeps everything in order. I couldn't be happier with this deal!

Drill and Impact wrench I like this Dewalt drill and impact wrench set. Since I have many projects at home, I like this light weight version. I am completely satisfied with the performance. Battery life is long, charging time is short like 3 hours. It is important for my projects that I have enough tool power to keep going without interruption. Both drill and impact wrench are easy to hold and are well balanced. Besides functionality, the design is great as well. It comes in a durable Dewalt bag that helps keep everything organized, including drill bits, batteries and charger in same place. I love the cordless drill with a long battery life. I am not limited by power outlet and cable length anymore. It makes me flexible. There is one charger for two tools. I charge these overnight, in the morning I have 2 batteries ready to go. Even I charged one, other is getting charged before battery drains on the one I am using. Tool set Well to begin at first the case seemed sturdy, all the piece fit in the tool box. In general, the tool quality is awesome and making it easy for me to have the right tool for many jobs It also has extra storage in the top lid It has torque wrench, nut driver bits, nut driver, both regular and deep well sockets, hex keys, socket extender, combination wrench, socket adapter, screw driving bits, multi-bit screwdriver and sparkplug sockets. Standard and metric box wrenches. Flex head ratchet is very sturdy. Fits in my hand great, turns smoothly and connects perfectly. The best part it come with manufacturer warranty and is guaranteed for life. I would highly recommend this product, it’s a “must have” tool set for the house.

This cordless set includes the DCD771 20-Volt Max 1/2 in. drill/driver and DCF885 1/4 in. Impact Driver. Also comes with two 20-Volt Max lithium-ion 1.3Ah batteries, a 20-Volt Max charger and a contractor bag that fits it all and then some. I’ve been using DeWALT tools for years and they have always served me well. Powerful, dependable and long lasting. Be aware that these battery packs are 1.3Ah which are on the lower side. Still plenty of power and runtime for a regular household project or two. But if you’re a contractor, I would go for at least the 1.5Ah or 3+Ah battery sets. Although the larger the battery capacity, the bigger and heavier it is. Overall, a great Drill / Driver set. The Drill has 16 ratchetting settings for screws and 1 drilling setting. Inside, there’s a variable-speed dual-setting transmission with a switch (1 or 2) on top for (0-450 and 1500 RPM). The harder you press the trigger the faster it will spin. The Impact Driver also has variable-speed, but one setting and full power delivery. It provides up to 2800 RPM and 1400 in. lbs. of max torque. The 1/4 in. hex chuck accepts 1 in. bit tips and has a 1-handed loading spring release design. Both have rubberized handles and a few other rubberized areas for good grip and slip resistance. Both have bright white LED lights. The drill only has one LED above the trigger that is somewhat obstructed by the ratcheting chuck and therefore casts a shadow on the top. The Impact Driver on the other hand has 3 LEDs that are built into the chuck head and provide great illumination. The lights activate for 20 seconds after the trigger is pressed. Some downsides: Only 1 belt hook is included for two tools. The batteries aren’t too snug on the tools and rattle a bit. No bits were included what so ever! Come on DeWALT, at least throw in one dual sided flat / Phillips bit.. No bit storage on-board on either tool. Drill LED light / shadow problem. Smaller batteries. > 200-Piece Mechanics Tool Set (Model #TWMT75000) Let me just say that I am very impressed by the entire 200 pc. tool set! Unlike other set packaging I’ve seen, this one is completely marked with all the tool types, sizes and categories. The tool box is made of very strong plastic that feels very durable and can withstand being thrown around the truck and worksite. The locks / clasps are made of metal and are there to stay. The set is heavy and weighs 24 lbs. For those who wonder about it’s size and fitting it in their truck or van shelving, here are the measurements (closed flat on the floor): W=24 x D=15 x H=4. I’m not a professional mechanic and not sure if I’ll ever use all the tools but it’s definitely handy to have such a selection on hand in one set. Every piece seems of high quality and good steel. Everything is clearly marked both on the tool and in the box where it belongs. Everything snuggle fits and doesn’t rattle much. There is a thin pad in between the two halves that helps reduce rattle and prevents some pieces from falling out when the box is closed. The pad clearly states the DeWALT brand, contact info (phone # and website) and warranty. In BIG BOLD letters it claims a FULL LIFETIME WARRANTY and HASSLE FREE REPLACEMENT. All that builds re-assurance in the quality and brand as a whole. I tried a few of the tools for a small project and was quite happy with their feel and performance.

DeWalt came out with Mechanics Tool Sets several years ago, and I have been using them since the beginning. The latest offering is the 200-Piece Mechanics Tool Set, which is a down-scaled version of the more complete 204-Piece Mechanics Tool Set. The main difference is the new 200-Piece Mechanics Tool Set has much fewer sockets in the 3/8 inch and ½ inch sizes. I am very impressed with the quality of the tools, especially the ratchets. The 200-Piece Mechanics Tool Set is not too heavy and is perfect for carrying in a vehicle for emergency use. It includes a molded case, 45 standard sockets, 26 deep socket, and 17 bit sockets. It also has ratchets in sizes 1/2 in., 3/8 in., and 1/4 in, 13 accessories, 9 combination wrenches, 28 hex keys, 15 nut bits and 44 specialty bits. The 72-tooth ratchets are the highlight of the set, and functions smooth-as-silk. The sockets are all 6-points and includes easy-to-read etching. First the two tools: The impact driver is Very lightweight and has a well-made belt clip attached. Supplied are two 1.3AH batteries but more of that later. What I like about the DCF 885 impact driver: Easy bits change. Pull the chuck lock forward; enter the wanted tool bit and release. Excellent hold and had no problems at all with any of the bits coming loose. It accepts drill bits as well as screwdriver bits. It is Very powerful both in forward and reverse mode, even outperforming my compressor driver. The three LED’s that supply light to the working area is superb and it is good to see that Dewalt has redesigned from the one LED. There is nothing negative about this driver. Nothing at all. The DCD 771 drill is also lightweight and surprisingly rigid for its size. Things I do not like about are, it does come with a belt clip. The one LED used to illuminate the work space. Although a good idea, is just not quite good enough. The nearer you get to the job in hand; the light is obscured by the chuck rendering the light redundant in the area most needed. Referring to the chuck, I am not keen on its plastic chuck release as it does not seem to be as rigid as the steel ones. I even found that several times while using the drill, the bit that it was holding fell out of the chuck even though it was as tight as I could make it. But most other times it held the bits well but my confidence was somewhat deflated for its ability to hold fast every time. The supplied 200 bit Mechanics set has everything you could ever need in a small workshop. The three quick release ratchets are of super quality along with a firm easy grip handles which includes the 72 click ratio and makes a perfect and efficient tool. Each socket is etched stating the size and be it metric or imperial and are easy to grip. Every other supplied tool bits are of exceptional tough quality, including the 44 specialty bits which are a nice bonus. The accessory case is hard plastic which opens and closes well with an efficient locking. The case when opened has two sides. The top side is the best for holding the bits in place whilst the other side none of the sockets are tight and secure and are easily fall out if the case is opened `wrong side up` or if the case is moved whist open. Nitpicking I guess, but it would have been better if every socket was held tightly in its place. The two supplied batteries are 1.3 AH. Using one of them in my 20V Dewalt flashlight (not supplied) the light stays on for eight hours, but using it with the impact driver, it only gave me one hour of constant use, the drill a little longer. Because of the tools lightweight feature I was reluctant to use any of the bigger and obviously heavier AH batteries, but as I use these outside and away from home, I have bought two more batteries with the 3 AH rating which I have discovered gives me three times as much sustained energy as the 1.3AH. Finally the bag. Good sturdy and feels hard wearing with a strong zipper. Is this tool kit along with the mechanic tool set worth the price? Absolutely

This is a nice starter kit for someone wanting to get into the Dewalt 20 volt tool system.It comes with the compact 1/2 inch drill,1/4 inch impact,two batteries,one hour charger and a soft bag.Also included is a 200 piece socket set with 1/4,1/2 and 3/8 drive metric and sae standard and deep sockets.The drill has two speeds and the impact is variable.Batteries take an hour to charge,it is not a quick charger. Like I said it is a good starter kit and will do a good job for those needing some good tools at a value price.

Nothing cheap or flimsy about this tool set. Everything inside the included case is of very high quality and comes with a lifetime hassle free replacement. The case is very sturdy also. Together the tools and the case weight about 20 lbs. To my amazement when you open the case nothing falls out. There is nothing included I do not like or need. I am a very motivated intermediate DIY'er who likes to do what he can whenever he can. I have an upcoming project to change the oxygen sensors in one of my vehicles and I can already tell this set will fit the bill. I can not speak highly enough about this product.

She was borderline rude, spoke over me and constantly interrupted. Didn't even entertain to try to make it right and maybe try to get in contact with the shipping company. "Once the item got picked up by the 3rd party it is out of our hands". I don't think I -as the customer- nor my bank should be responsible to chase the order or a refund. I would love to leave a pleasant review about the product but unfortunately I can't and am stuck with being out the money and the product!!!!

I order this product on 3/3/24, and was supposed to receive it on 3/7/24. Tracking showed that the shipment got delayed w/o a delivery date. On 3/14/24 I opened a case and the next day it shows as delivered. I have not received this product! I called customer Resolution and spoke with the "Supervisor" Ewanda. I explained the situation and got told I am on my own and have to file a dispute with my bank. TO BE CONTINUED
