I bought two of these and within six months of normal contractor-grade work, both had failed. Specifically, the nuts and bolts that hold the brackets on the mitre stand and the wingnuts and bolts that are supposed to hold the bracket at the adjusted height are not strong enough or heavy duty enough for rough play in the field.
I use my 12" DeWalt mitre saw for framing as well as for fine trim work, so the brackets get knocked around by various 2x4s and 2x6s. I would recommend an added feature (besides larger hardware): flip up arms that could be used to support wider boards than, say, 7-1/4".
If you're a homeowner who does occasional projects, these will be likely to serve you well. DeWalt makes great tools. I use them, Milwaukee, and Fein for just about everything!
