When the TS 1 first came, they were an attempt to manufacture a better carrying tool case and even thou they had some good features different than the competition, they had some short comings in the "Design And Manufacturing" (it is obvious since they redesign and built them different in the TS 2). I bought 3 under the wrong information given by the Home Depot customer service, that the yellow trays fit the Thought System #1. Upon arrival a different day than the scheduled I found that they don't fit, so I returned 2 (third could not return because It got bang damaged while in my possession). The laches are almost impossible to open and close in addition to other design faults.

Extremely durable and great organization. Got the insert so my most used screw drivers and pliers are easy to find, visible and I can just grab them real quick when I need them. Holds a lot of tools and weight.

I purchased two, gave one to my son and he has already purchased two additional container. I received a container last Christmas and it has different latch locks on the front. Both work well.

Received as a gift a birthday gift 3 months ago. Took it to the job site and everyone loved it! Great sound and Bluetooth capable so we took turns with our playlists. The LCD screen stopped working last week and I can’t find any posts about this issue or how to fix it. Possibly a bad unit? Would like to replace it but that will have to wait. Great unit, I’m sure, if yiu can get it to last longer than 3 months.

I love this storage system and they you can customize it to your needs especially if you are on the go alot. Then one draw back to this specific box size it is not deap as the Extra large and it is also not as tall. So be weary as to what you will need this one for. Although I will say, I have a dewalt track saw and it fits perfect inside of it.

Wanted something to store my batteries in to carry from job to job. I had to remive the trays that come inside the case, but it works perfectly. They all fit just right and i can stay organized. Awesome!

The box broke on the first day. I dont recomend it

This product is not worth the price it’s listed for. You’re paying for best and receiving good/better. If I had to do it again I’d either spend half the money on cheaper brands like ridgid or just get the comparable more sound Milwaukee set up. Attachment clamps are made from plastic, poorly designed considering these have space to hold quite some weight. One of mine broke the first day I had it. We’re now on week 4 and the metal clamps for the boxes themselves are already going.. losing their lock. You would think I packed it full and forced it shut but sadly don’t own enough stuff for the to even happen.. metal clamps on cheap thin plastic. The wheels are my last issue. They’re small And wide for the weight and get stuck on tiny stuff like pebbles/transition strips. I don’t think I should have to lower the case 45° to get it over stuff that small. Things I do like is the amount of space actually inside compared to other pack outs and the plastic shelving system is nice as well.

I bought dewalt tough system radio about a year ago and now here is the problem I have: the battery is not secure and it disconnects, the power cord block is not getting good connection and I have to wiggle a little to make it work, the base speaker is stopped working and I took it a part to see what is the problem and the wire from the speaker its ripped off, don't use the base if u want to last longer.

Feels durable. I like that I can stack another on top. Rolls easy. Bigger than expected.

I highly recommend dewalt and the cases are heavy duty but the locking mechanism on it is way too easy to break. They need to fix the locks on thier products, they are very weak and break much to easy.

This dewalt stackable radio has Bose quality sound. I am very impressed with how nicely built and the sound quality!

Love how rugged it is and also the good sound quality. Only critique is that I wish the charger cord was more heavy duty, a co worker tripped on it and broke it. Replacement is 70$!

So far so good on buying this. I have had it for a few months. The reason I bought it is because you can get to your bottom tool box without removing any others. What a great and novel idea! This feature works awesome. No more taking off tool boxes to get to the one I really want. Getting to the bottom tool box has always been a hassle but no more. The brackets are adjustable so you can mix and match what tool boxes you want to put on the cart. One complaint: I wish the cart was just a LITTLE bit taller, and if it was, you could then put 2 medium boxes & 2 small boxes on the cart at the same time. I think I have found a work around that will be good, but not as great as being able to do that. The cart is sturdy and durable. You can even leave it on a job site because the cart has the ability to lock the tool boxes onto the cart itself. Chain & lock the cart to a structure-->lock the tool boxes in place on the cart-->lock the top tool box so nobody can open it & take tools out. Another great feature is that you can take the brackets off and use it as a dolly. There are rails on the back to help with it up and down stairs, and they work well. This is the only tool/dolly system I would recommend to anyone because of being able to get to any tool box without removing another. The picture shows my current set up in my work truck. I chain it to my work truck to keep it from tipping over from a quick stop. Love this cart and DeWalt's set up.

This is a sturdy and well made toolbox. The only downside is the locks are extremely difficult to open and close. But other than that my boyfriend is very proud of this gift.

Very well built and very sturdy. I like how convenient it is for me to carry all the tools I need for the job. I take it to all my job sites and can handle tough jobs and won’t crack easily. I will continue to buy anything DEWALT cause they are simply the best hands down!! I also like the locks on them very secure and tight. Also like that I can stack them I bought 2 other sizes to go along with this specific box!

Ultra tough box just don’t drag it across your truck bed, the little feet can chip off!? Otherwise great protection from rain and perfect storage system!

I purchased two of these DS400 XL boxes to be able to store tools in the bed of my truck without worrying about rain or dust intrusion. This DeWalt box is the largest I could find with a true weather seal that also seemed robust enough to survive life in the bed of a work rig. The weather seal appears to be a good quality closed cell foam and is thick enough to provide a very positive contact. Time will tell how long they hold up. My only complaint so far is that the bars meant to attach dividers and organizers take up too much of the interior dimensions.

The cart is rugged and made well, love the fact I can lock everything in it to the cart with one pad lock. Decided to buy this after the low van rack system to face together, use one long chain and one pad lock to lock everything together inside the van.

My husband loves this tough system tower with wheels to haul all of his tools!

Great product ! I love the portability, also the fact that they're stackable and interchangeable. This along side a rolling job box and I'm able to move around jobs with all my tools and materials by myself.

I like the box it is sturdy and can hold a pretty solid amount of tools, my only complaint is I work on job sites where I am not always right beside my tool box , so I use a lock on the provided slots....but realistically this lock is for nothing but looks and a possible deterrent. The plastic surrounding the holes for the lock is fairly thin and not metal coated or anything. I’m certain if I wanted I could break the lock off with my hands. Or at minimum a set of tin snips would glide through the plastic like butter. Other than that I love the box

Very nice box I use for my batteries and charger to go with whole tough system kit. It works very well as I'm able to wheel all my tools around the production studios where I work. I also did some custom paint as I did not like the yellow trim. I also didn't care for the metal lockdown clasps.

I purchase blades for my 20v portable band saw. The saw works flawlessly as the blades failed just after a few cuts.

I received the DS130 and DS450 as a gift this past father's day. the latches lasted about 3 months. I'm a pretty handy person and after I looked at the design of these boxes they're not designed to be repaired or replaced. they are held in with a single pan head screwed into a plastic block. I've owned a similar tool storage system from Rigid and have been very happy with those. I expected the Dewalt cases would have been just as reliable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Wife bought me the Tough System Radio for my and Birthday, and I couldn't be Happier! Its snaps in with all my Dewalt Tough System cases. Its rugged, it's tough, it sounds sweet! I would totally recommend this radio to anyone. I can stay connected clear across a warehouse. It charges a battery well and it does its job well so you can fo yours!

My first Dewalt ToughSystem Box and my first impression was how flimsy it seems. The structural foam construction seems too flexible in certain areas (specifically around the high stress points on the box, such as the lid hings and side handles). The side handles do not inspire much confidence (they look like they need more reinforcing at the hinge point). The yellow top clips are anemic and do not appear as if they would last long. However, these do have a limited-lifetime warranty, the lid latches are very sturdy, the ability to use Dewalt's van-racking, shop-racking, or ToughSystem dolley to cart these boxes around, and the relative cost of these boxes is why I went with the ToughSystem over the Milwaukee Packout or Tanos Systainer (What Festool tools come in) systems. I haven't used Milwaukee's Packout system, but I have gotten to use Tanos Systainers and their matching dolley, which are the Cadillac of Contractor organizational boxes, but are just absolutely cost prohibitive and are limited in interior capacity. My Skil 77 didn't fit in the DS300, but it does just barely fit at a diagonal in the DS400. Overall, I like the ToughSystem boxes, but I need to extensively use them first before I judge them.
