We wouldn't expect Dawn to impart the of the product taste into water, Harper, and we're so sorry to learn that's happened. It may help to know this usually occurs when the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous. Additionally dishes made of cast iron and plastic tend to absorb flavors. Be sure to not soak porous items; wash immediately and rinse thoroughly. In the future, we suggest giving Dawn Free & Clear a try. There's two versions, one with a Lemon Essence scent and one that's Fragrance Free. We encourage you to give us a call for further assistance with this current purchase. Please, stop using it so you won't taste it anymore, and put it in a safe spot in case we need you to return it to us.
