This Defiant Laminated Steel Padlock features a 40 mm body and a 2 in. chrome-plated, hardened steel shackle for increased cut resistance. It is equipped with 4 brass pin cylinders for optimal pick and pry resistance and dual lever locking mechanism for maximum security. The padlock is designed with a form-fitted plastic bumper to reduce scratching and marring. Ideal for securing storage units, chains, trailers, gates and utility boxes. I use this padlock on my wood shop out in the backyard. The lock seems very durable and is weather resistant and has a plastic bumper to reduce scratches. This lock can be used either indoor or out. You do get two keys with each lock. I added a photo of the new lock with the old lock to show the wear from the elements.

We like the 2-inch-long shackle because it allows us to use this lock on more items like security safes, barns, utility boxes, trailers, storage units, and gates. The black rubber bumper on the bottom of the lock body provides protection from scratching other items, and it will keep our fingers from becoming cold or hot when we are unlocking it. This lock comes with 2 keys that slide smoothly into the keyhole making it easy to unlock. This lock makes a clicking sound when it is locked and unlocked. Made in China. We’re very happy with it!!

This LK 40 mm 1 inch Laminated Steel Shackle Keyed Padlock from Defiant is a heavy-duty lock. It feels strong and durable and able to withstand a beating. The key disengages the lock very easily without much fight and the spring loaded shackle pops right out. When locked, the shackle doesn't have any give to it at all. This lock is great and I would definitely purchase again.

The lock is of very heavy-duty materials and will secure our trailer doors with confidence. The lock comes with two keys as well. These Defiant locks come in multiple sizes for all your security needs. I have no questions and these locks will get the job done!!

This Defiant keyed padlock is a standard sized lock that will do the job of securing a shed, storage locker, trailer and the like. It is made it hardened steel. It should deter almost anyone from trying to break in to your personal property. The shackle has one inch of clearance which will work in most applications. I have used other Defiant products in the past and have been satisfied with its use.

Recently I have moved to a different house with a small storage area in my balcony, and this made me to look for a tiny yet stronger lock for the storage door. I am happy that I ordered the Defiant Laminated Steel Shackle Keyed Padlock, this looks small but strong and works perfectly. This padlock comes with 2 keys and can be used to gates, storage units, etc.,

A solid chunk of metal! That’s what this lock feels like in your hand. The locking mechanism moves smoothly. Key operation is efficient. When locking or unlocking, you can hear loud clicks from inside the lock. That tends to be helpful by letting you know the padlock has been secured. It comes with two numbered keys that aren’t going to bend. This lock size is perfect for my Lifetime-brand sheds. I’m not going to destroy the lock to test its durability. But it’s likely it would be easier to rip the doors off the shed rather than breaking the lock! There is one other note, the key can be removed from the lock when it’s in the unlock position. That may or may not be helpful. It does present the opportunity to lock yourself away from the key. Otherwise, this Defiant padlock rivals the name-brand locks you are more familiar with.

I like this Defiant 40mm made very well with 4 brass pins to help from someone picking lock, and that I can use outside because it’s corrosion resistant so will keep my fence entrance secured. The plastic bumper is a molded on and will help from scratches so won’t rust after constant use or harsh winds. Made from hardened steel with a chrome covering to help with corrosion protection, and helps from cut resistant. Like how it comes with 2 keys, that way if you happen to lose one key you will have a spare. So far in this AR weather it’s holding up great, no signs of corrosion and still unlocks like new.

The defiant padlock lock I got , is used at my property gate. My old one is pretty rusty and hard to open , so I updated it with this new one. It's not a large lock but works for my gate latch. The lock feels well built and includes 2 gold keys which is nice to quickly identify the key with all the other key locks i have. The 40mm is little smaller than the 44mm lock and works great at my gate. The padlock unlocks smooth and feels heavy.

This padlock is a bit small, but certainly adequate for most padlock needs. The chrome-plated, hardened steel shackle measures 1 inch locked down. I like this padlock and certainly do recommend this Defiant product.

Locks fit where I needed and the price was reasonable.
