No protective covering, stratches during reno work
This tube comes without a protective covering, so it's susceptible to scratching while you're using thinset and grout while tiling on the walls around it.
My tub wound up noticeably scratched. I would absolutely not buy this again. if you do, make sure that it is protected on every surface and only remove that protective covering when you've finished and cleaned up from all work with potential abrasives: thin-set, grout, drywall mud dust, etc.
If I had to do this again I'd buy a steel tub.

Hello Bill, thank you for your email. Sorry for the delay in response. The Delta 400 series does come with a protective film. This is a thin layer as you stated to protect against scratches.

What happened to quality?
So so very cheap quality! Had to buy foam insulation to reinforce it!
