It sounds as if something may not be installed correctly on your Mirage-X. There is a piece that is installed to the lower guide rail that blocks water from getting in that space. It is called the Bottom Channel Insert. I believe that yours may be installed upside down, allowing this area to fill with water. It should be installed with the flat surface upward, thereby preventing water from entering this channel.
