Beautiful sink - drain insert stains
Our sink is a year old. It is beautiful and we have had no issues with the drain flange and our garbage disposal as many other reviews mentioned. The issue we have is with the drain basket strainer and stopper. It stains and discolors and we have had to replace it twice. (item LKQD35) The sink does not stain at all (parchment color) so it is odd that the basket strainer and stopper, particularly the 1" ring that sits flush to the sink stains terribly. We have tried it in both parchment and black and both stain.

Well, the product is great. The color is amazing and looks great in a black sink but it did not have a universal fit for my Insinkerator disposal. I was so disappointed because I wanted the pop of color in my black sink but now I just have to live with the mundane and ordinary silver. Bleh...

This is Only a Trim Ring - Not a Disposer Flange
Yes it matches the sink nicely but be aware this is not a disposer mount. It is only a trim ring that fits into a disposer flange which you will need to buy separately. The rest of the story is, the strainer (and why do you need a strainer on the disposer side of the sink?) fits too tight and when you pull it out to dispose of food, that tight grip causes it to pull-out the entire trim ring, not just the stopper.
Considering it is only a trim ring and stopper, it is extremely over-priced for something that performs so poorly. Don't glue it in with sealer to keep it from coming out because you won't be able to get your hand in if you need to retreive something from the disposer. It makes the opening much smaller.
If we hadn't bought the fitting for the non-disposer side I wouldn't have bought this. There is nothing wrong with the look of standard chrome flanges. Had I known what this was, I wouldn't have bought the pair at all. Stick with standard drain fittings; your sinks will look just as nice.

This fit perfectly to our sink even though it was not a Elkay sink. The color match is perfect and fit the new disposal with quick mount ring. Seems well made only time will tell if it holds up through the years. At this point very happy with our purchase.

This made matching the new soap pumper and faucet, all black, very simple. It securely attaches over the existing single sink hole ring rather than the laborious removal of the disposal. The sink drains as normal and it can easily be removed to inspect for cleaning. Which doesn’t seem to be an issue, unless you’re OCD.

This model is a drain and strainer basket designed to work with a standard 3-1/2" drain opening. The strainer flange is placed into the drain hole from insides the sink bowl with the gasket and drain body being installed from the underside of the sink. There is then a ferrule (bolt) that is tightened down from the top through the strainer flange and into the drain body to hold it in place. The drain tubing then attaches to the bottom of the drain body with the supplied washer and nut. I have also included the direct link to the installation instructions. Poor Design not to be universal
We bought this to fit our Waste King disposer when we bought our new Elkay double sink (online via Home Depot). Unfortunately, not enough easy find information online that this disposer drain fitting will not fit Waste King disposer. I am not even sure we can return it. I don't see a return button online so I will have to call. Very disappointed with Elkay! Our Blanco sink we could find parts to fit Waste King. That was 13 years ago. We are remodeling and switched to Elkay sink.

This is a very nice product and matches the sink...
This is a very nice product and matches the sink color perfectly. It doesn't replace the Insinkerator flange - stainless steel in my situation - but slides in and is retained with a rubber ring. It can't leak, but I haven't seen if any debris accumulates under the fitting.

Good but could be much better
Matches sink very well. The reason for the down grade is I wanted the rubber protection on top of the disposal and had to cut ours down so it would fit under this fitting. It would be nice for this to come with that rubber splash guard.

This item fits and matches our Elkay sink very well....
This item fits and matches our Elkay sink very well. My issue is the rubber gasket on the outside of the fitting. (Not the stopper.) The stopper tends to get stuck in the fitting and it pulls the fitting out. We have been using this about six months now and the rubber gasket that holds the fitting in the drain opening really stinks. I have cleaned it numerous times over the past six months, but it just keeps getting worse because water sits under it. We may end up just eliminating the whole thing and leaving the garbage disposal fitting exposed. The smell isn’t worth it.

I’m shocked!
After having this spectacular sink 6 1/2 months, I just today discovered that the garbage disposal flange is removable. I was blaming the plumbing installer for not fitting it flush so food doesn’t get caught in the crease. This bugs me, but now that I know I can just pull it out to use the disposal made my day.
