Fantastic under counter light.
This was the exact replacement fixture I was looking to put in over the kitchen sink. Much brighter than the old florescent fixture it replace. Highly recommend this product.

Versatile under cab lighting
These under cabinet fixtures are a very versatile under cabinet fixture and come at a great price. Each lamp comes with its own toggle switch that can be direct wired directly or to a switch. We chose to direct wire to a switch. We have two series of lights; one set by the stove where two 18 in lights are run in series and one by the sink area where we have three lights run in series (18+24+18). These are great lights that provide great light for counter-top work. We do not utilize the dim-able feature of these lights. The lights tuck nicely under the cabinet and cannot be seen (unless you crouch down) once you install the cabinet light trim.

Bright Light, But Cramped Wiring Space
As part of a kitchen remodel, I purchased and installed this fixture, as well as 24” and 36” ones. I did some research online and looked at the other reviews before making a decision. I bought these on the basis of the great reviews – and based upon my experience, they were spot on. These are bright fixtures, fabricated of quality components, and designed to tight tolerances. They even include a Romex clamp connector! When’s the last time you bought a light fixture that included the connector? Reading the included instructions is advisable, because opening/closing the cover may not be intuitive, but the instructions make it clear. The first fixture installation took me a little longer to complete, but as you might guess successive installation of the other fixtures was a breeze. The only difficulty I experienced was with this 18” fixture. There is very little room inside the fixture to accommodate the wiring, and although I only used about 6” of Romex coming into the fixture box, it was still a tight squeeze. So much so, that it caused the on/off switch to bulge (see picture). However, the fixture operates fine, and because I’ve chosen to use a wall-switch and the fixture itself is well-hidden from sight under the cabinet, I have decided to leave it be. However, if you are presented with a similar problem in an area that is visible, you may not find this to be acceptable. I had no such space problem with the larger (24” and 36”) fixtures.

Nice under cabinet light
We wanted this light to go over our kitchen sink. The directions say it can't be used over a sink, and an electrical engineer warned me not to use it there because corrosion on the circuit board could be serious trouble. My wife wanted a light over her sewing machine, and the light was easy to install there. There was no light on that wall, so I had to cut a 2"x2" hole in the drywall to accommodate the strain relief. Maybe it's because this was a new light, but I had to install the strain relief and tighten the screws before other steps that were earlier in the instructions. The nut and washer that attach the strain relief will pop off at very low torque, barely more than finger tight. I used a 17mm wrench to snug the nut. The fixture is light and the metal bends easily, but I wasn't comfortable with the mounting screws, so I used two #6x1" screws in drywall anchors. The directions are extremely fine print and hard to read. The fixture comes with push connectors rather than wire nuts, and they are easy to use and secure. Once I had a line through the wall, this took only about 45 to install.

Bright light, looks great
I got this 18-inch LED light (18”, 9.5 watt) to replace an old (1960s) florescent tube light (24”, 20 watt) under my oven hood. If this was a new light installation, it probably would have gone fairly smoothly. But, because of the different lengths, I had to make some adjustments and work-arounds. The instructions are detailed enough—but the print is soooo freakin tiny that I had to use a magnifier to read them. Despite the challenges I confronted during installation, the light looks sleek and shines considerably brighter than the 20 watt florescent light. I’m very pleased with the final results. The pictures show the old florescent light fixture (on and off) and the LED fixture (on and off).

Plenty bright!
The lights put out more than enough light to light up the counter space. The most difficult part is reassembling the fixture after the wiring is connected inside and trying to do so is awkward when it is mounted to the underside of the cabinet. Installation should be a one-time thing though since the lights are supposed to last for ~50,000 hours. Worth the hassle when all is said and done.

I can use this
I got this light intending to use it in a new large built-in storage cabinet that was planned. But by the time it arrived, the plans had changed to use a different approach and I had no use for it. So I took a long look around for a suitable use somewhere else. I found one in a smaller louvered storage cabinet that was in a dark place and always needed a flashlight to examine. Good enough. Since it was not perfect for the use, I had to make some changes. For example, there would be no permanent wiring. I converted this light to a portable configuration with a heavy duty 3-wire 6-foot power cord. Since the light is now portable, the local codes did not require any armored cable. Also the cable must flex a bit as the cabinet door opens and closes. The installation was simple, making 2 extra holes to mount it to the back of the door. I used the included wire strain relief for the round power cord and it was a perfect fit. I did have to cover the threads of the strain relief to prevent the nut from slipping as one reviewer noted before. I used clear Mylar tape and made sure to use the included lock washer. This lamp has 66 LED's configured in 11 series groups of 6 each in parallel. So if one LED goes open circuit, it will take out one of the 11 LED groups (9%). These are powered by a small 32vdc power supply. I did not have a suitable dimmer, and really don't need one. But I did try an old incandescent type which did not work well. Some LED's lights work ok with the old dimmers and others do not. This type does not use the almost standard 10vdc control design, so make sure you select the 120vac type. I am relatively happy with the lamp and it does provide an adequate amount of light. The covers are a bit difficult to remove and reinstall but you shouldn't have to do that more than once anyway.

Great
Great LED under cabinet light fixture, but lots of work to install I had to tap off another duplex receptacle and fish wire to the location for the under cabinet light then bending over and laying on the cabinet to see what I was doing is a back killer but after 100's of same installs was expecting this. Once wire in place just hook up to fixture body secure with the furnished screws plug in the wires put light into place and attach screws, then just put in lens turn power back on. The lights really put out way more lights than my other under cabinet lights. May have to change my others as new are way brighter.

Bright idea
It is very easy to install but you must have the right connector as the one that comes with it does not work right. Every time I moved the wire or the light the nut would come off the connector. That meant taking the whole thing down again to re install nut and try again, after second attempt at this, upon further inspection the nut appears to be coarse thread and the connector body a fine thread. had to reinvent a way to hook it up as the local home depot does carry that kind of connector. The light is very bright and looks good, wife is very pleased with the new look the light gave her

The light is more yellowish than I like. It should have a higher temp. rating (3000K) to appear whiter and brighter. The mounting holes should be on 16 inch centers to match normal stud spacing. The metal casing is difficult to take apart and reassemble because it is too strong. Needs different way to take apart for installation. I would never buy again.

Nice Little Light
This is a nice little light. It's a pretty simple install, but for those with little to no experience the instructions aren't very explicit. The "little" part of the light is what gave me issues. I bought this to replace an old, similar florescent light that had worn out. I thought it would be a simple swap, but the casing of this light is so small, it was a struggle to get the existing wiring and wire nuts into the casing due to the lack of space inside. Other than that, this light is great.

Warning: Listed light color specturm is inaccurate
The website list the color of the light as being 2700K. They are not. The manufacture states these are 3000K. If you are trying to match other lights in the same spectrum, these won't be at 2700K. Home Depot really needs to fix the information for this product.

This light works well and the color is easily adjusted. I wish there was a way to reduce to brightness without using a wall dimmer. Even though I’ve gotten used to the intensity, I would prefer it to be slightly dimmer.
