There were no anchors for the screws so had to make another trip to the hardware store.There also isn’t any adjustment handles for the piece in the center.

Hello Shane,
We are sorry that you had to make more than one trip to Home Depot. However, for future reference, the typical diffuser installation will have what is called a steel booty box on contemporary construction methods and on older construction there are usually 2" x 4" which the mounting hardware will penetrate to create a sold mounting secure.
On the just the 800 series diffuser, there is not center piece that requires any adjustment handle so the diffuser does not come with an adjustment tool. However, the adjustment tool comes with the damper for the 800 Series which has to be purchased separately.
