I read the more recent reviews of these hinges and notes that all the newer reviews expressed difficulty with the screws shearing off on install. I was hoping this was user error and wouldn’t happen to me, but unfortunately i built brand new built-ins for an entertainment center and I had the 3rd screw shear off even with the recommended pilot holes. I may drill slightly larger pilot holes than recommemded to see if that helps. At this point im stuck and have to extract the screw which broke off level with the surface, so cant grab it with vice grips… its might also be worth pointing out this is screwing into poplar and not even maple. Its time for the manufacturer to upgrade their screws, as the price point for these is higher than many online options with much better reviews, like Blum. I would probably steer clear of these if i had to buy again. Not sure at this point if I’ll return these and buy something more reliable or try to continue with these. I’m stuck though and at a standstill until i can extract this screw… huge headache

Buyer beware! Do not purchase these hinges! Go with Blum, that is an amazing brand. The head of these screws snap off even when hand tightening and using barely any pressure! When I realized this defect, I decided to remove the hinges I installed in two other doors and if I didn’t apply a massive amount of pressure first, the head immediately snapped off. Now three of my brand new, beautiful doors, have screws stuck in them and will need to be removed prior to installation. I’m very frustrated!

Bought 2 10 packs for cabinets I was making. Screw heads snapped off several times, even by hand. At least 2 out of each pack would keep the doors slightly open. Had to swap out to get the doors to close.

These are decent hinges, but the pan head screws are clearly defective. Two of them broke off - and I was screwing into existing holes. If you buy these as replacement hinges, use your old screws.

Not sure if there's a way to adjust them but they close at different rates.

I had 5 screws that broke off during installation. A simple job ended up lasting hours because of this. After the first 2 broke I manually screwed them in and still they broke off. Terrible

Screw head snap off constantly, yet another cheap, brittle, useless piece of hardware from Everbilt. Will be avoiding this brand in the future for anything I need

Used these hinges on new doors in our kitchen remodel, they were easy to install and are working perfectly. Adjustable in every direction to tweak door spacing.

The soft close hinges are a nice feature to keep cabinet doors from slamming shut. The instructions were mostly clear, however they could have converted all the dimensions to inches as well as mm. You will have to have or buy the correct drill bits for this installation. It will be very easy to ruin a cabinet door if you drill too deep. Everything needs to be laid out precisely before beginning. The drilling can be tedious to prevent damage to a cabinet door. I would suggest a practice run on a piece of scrap wood before trying this at home. The hinges operate seamlessly and are adjustable to your liking.

The Everbilt 35 mm 105-Degree 1-1/4 in. Overlay Soft Close Cabinet Hinges are well made. I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of installation of these hinges. All mounting screws were included. The soft close feature works wonderfully. No more door slamming in this house. I had to use a small screwdriver to turn the soft close feature off and on but that is due more to my fat fingers and not an issue with the hinges. I would highly recommend these hinges for your next cabinet build.

Packaging is the best feature. The hinges are very lightweight. I would only recommend using these hinges on very light doors, such as a bathroom vanity you may already have and want to convert it to a soft close hinge. These hinges appear to be the standard hinges you will see on bath vanities that are not soft close so doing a replacement is very easy. The instructions are very poor and do not include a template. The instructions give you measurements to the center of the hole you need to drill from the edge of your door frame and do not tell you the mm from the edge if you are using a hinge jig such as the Kreg Jig. I would only use these hinges as a replacement hinge and not for a new cabinet you are building.

The cabinets in the break room of my office were not closing good and making a racket when they slammed shut. I replaced the hinges with these soft close hinges and the doors close easier and quieter. There is also a cam to adjust the soft close tension of the hinge function. Fortunately, this was a remove & replace task and I did not need to drill or mortise holes for installation but the hinges come with directions and screws if you need them. The hinges are made of steel but the soft close part is plastic but I expect them to last.

Very pleased with these hinges. We had some cabinet doors that weren't closing fully. I got tired of trying to adjust the existing hinges and swapped them out with these soft-close ones. They work great and I love that they draw the door in. The hinges were a perfect fit. They are better quality than the hinges I replaced which looked like stamped metal. The screws that came with were better as well. Installation was easy as well. Just have someone there to hold the door. Makes it 20x easier. Just screw in the new ones and adjust as needed. This hinge turns any normal kitchen into a gourmet kitchen!!!

Good over all. Well made. If there was a way to make the adjustments just a little bigger. I had to cut out a 1/8” and recess the hinge to get enough clearance on the double door cabinets.

Works as it should, easy install.

We love the soft close on these hinges. They were easy to install and work really nice.

Purchased the wrong hinge.

Soft close means it won't close all the way on it's own after a few days. Was unable to loosen the adjustment screws on either hinge. I'm going to put the originals back in.
