I did some research and Excalibur Company is back and better than ever. This saw's fit and finish is much improved verses previous generation models I've used and much better than the King model the other reviewer states is like the original (no way -don't believe it). Vibration is extremely low and The company is now based in the heart of the good old USA and not Canada. Great machine really happy with my purchase.

This thing is a absolute garbage from China. Absolute junk in quality. Shakes. Blade clamps are terrible quality. Might work for a little while then it WILL go bad. Get the Jet or another brand. This one is not worth it at all.

Took us a minute..but we figured it out and we love it..we are beginners but we love it

It is a wonderful saw; it makes you seem like an expert so quickly. Love how the table stays fixed and the saw arm rotates when you do angle cuts. The foot switch is something I did not think much about before the purchase, but now I would not work without one.

Saw is good, had to change the blade holder, top and bottom. Hard to place blade in center of chuck and the arm is hard to raise and lower.

Everything is working as it should

Smooth running w/ less vibration ! Dust collection efficient enough.

Have not conquered any speed to changing blades. Dust collection good be improved.

The saw runs smooth little vibration do have problems installing the 2/0 blades. Old and poor eyes.

Great product.... I just put it together. However, half of the stand bolts, washers and nuts were missing from the box. The shipping box was dragged because of it's weight creating a hole in the accessories box and outer box. Some bolts were stuck into the side of the scroll saw shipping box. I have some pictures if you want them. The sample blades were bent. The segmented air bower tube was cracked which made it impossible to mount it onto the machine. I was machinist in aerospace and eye care industry, this is not unusual but this machine is no longer produced by General.ca. The new King Scroll saw is supposed to have the same parts unless you have a better source for replacement parts. The needle bearings will need to be cared no matter what people say about the bearings being sealed. My wife has shown interest in trying her had at Intarsia woodworking. With this Corona-19 hanging over us, home is not a bad place to be. I would appreciate some #3 & #5 blades as well as a new plastic segmented dust blower hose. I purchase some bolts but had to use course thread and cut them down to size.

Best designed scroll saw? Quailty

the Excalibur 21 scroll saw is an excellent choice. IT cuts with minimum vibration, is easy to do blade changes. Cuts extremely well. I highly recommend this saw.

I've owned the saw for about 6 months. It's excellent in every way. No complains. Great scroll saw.

This is a great saw compared to other cheaper scroll saws I have used. After a few blade changes and getting used to the tilting head I am very happy. Now all I need is a new pair of glasses.

I have been wanting a top of the line scroll saw for years and when I saw this on sale I was a happy camper. The saw arrived before the scheduled date so kudos to Home Depot for that. However that's about all that was good. Once set up I began to use it right away. The first moment I turned it on it vibrated so bad, I could not see the cut line of the pattern. Within 5 minutes of use, the motor began to surge and would slow down when making turns. I then took time researching and making minor adjustments, but nothing helped. The saw that this was to replace (Costing much less), cut circles around this saw. This will be going back as soon as I get the stand taken apart and boxed back up. All I can say is buyer beware.

How easy it is to change blades.

Saw had a defect and I could not get any support from the mfg. I tried to order an accessory part and over a two week period with several emails and 2 phone calls I could not get a price or availability. When I considered returning the saw I sent an email for advise and got an automatic email response that the only support tech was on vacation for two weeks. That made the final decision for me.

Be very careful, I have done some research and found that the Excalibur saws are no longer made in their original factory in Taiwan. They are actually a copy produced in china, (it says so on the box). The true original saw is now call King Industrial and comes from the original factory and is the original saw made in Taiwan. In short, the Excalibur is a copy and the King Industrial is the real thing. Crazy!

This is a good scroll saw as I bought one from home depot (online ) about two years ago. General International is the company that has these saws produced. They started out in Canada and then they went to Taiwan to be built. It was around 2016 when they were off the market until recently. I tried to call and also email General International in Canada, Tenn, and Ohio. I have tried for two weeks and can not get anyone at any of the offices. I think the saw has been discontinued and the ones that are online are possibly leftovers. The saw is a great saw and buying one from Home Depot is a good deal. I would be concerned about getting parts after the saw gets older. Just my opinion and would like to hear from anyone that has talked to General International recently.
