Solved the problem of finding weather stripping for existing door application

Low quality, wood splits easly. Expensive

This set of weather strip is based on wooden fingerjointed 'bullnose' frame and a plastic insert. The insert is attached to a foam padded vinyl lip, pre-bent to touch the door. It is tight even if the door is uneven or installation is varying somewhat. It does not require the hard pull on the door like a door with a solid foam weatherstrip requires. Cutting is easy and we usually use a construction glue and finishing nailer to attach to doorway. And lastly it looks nice, everything is straight and clean. The wood should be primed and painted before installation

Great idea - just be careful - if you don't have a nail gun, pre-drill your holes and watch where your drill or nail - the kerf is rather deep and I punched through in a couple of places.

Dimensions were off. Materials (wood) were of poor quality.

Fit the door just like I wanted it. Sealed the door up and stopped the cold drafts.

Perfect for the application. This product nor anything like it is available at you competitor. Going forward I will look more to Home Depot for my needs.

Easy to install, looks so much better than the metal backed insulation strips and easy to prime and paint. Has a wide tolerance for differences in gap sizes around the door. Insulation strip doesn’t stick to painted doors either like some other insulation strips.

Easy installation already base coat paint; can top coat in the spring. Installed day before the blast of sub-zero cold; warmed the laundry room immediately.

This stuff was awesome for older doors with metal weather stripping. It allows you to covert to the newer stuff. Easy enough for a mentally challenged monkey to install.

Works really good around doors by keeping the draft out..

Felt like it was more expensive than what yiud expect to pay. One of the panels cracked when I hammered a nail into it. Otherwise, seem to do the job. Wish it was a bit lower priced though, or at least include the nails to install it.

The outside groove edge of the wood trim is too thin and breaks or snaps easily

Worked fine. The wood split however when I used thin brads. Drill tiny guide holes before using nails.

Best door weatherstripping I have found at Home Depot. Not always easy to find as the cheaper stuff at local store. Pros: they are secured against the wood strips and shrink wrapped. The wood strips can be used to frame the doorframe for weatherstripping for door frames that lack an existing weatherstrip frame, and then painted or stained as well. I had no need of the wood strips though. Cons: the price compared to the cheaper stuff. But like the quality of the material here.

there is still some air coming at bottom and top. flap doesn't fully get compressed evenly when door is closed.

Decent quality, already primed for painting and extra length to cover “rough” measurements.
