Poor Quality control
We have now had 5 of these freezers delivered and everyone has problems with the basket support rail buttons being bent or broken. If you have one of these, check the bottom side of the basket rails for bent or missing buttons. Every freezer we have seen is bad.

The GREATEST purchase ever!!!

Garbage from the start
We had high hopes for this freezer but that quickly came to an end. During the transfer from our 18cf, 26 year old GE freezer with no issues, we noticed the basket rails were very sloppy. Turns out some of the cheap plastic buttons that are embedded in the foam wall to support the rails were broken at assembly. This allowed the rails to flex and break. We finished loading it and started a warranty claim. After a week we noticed excessive ice building up on the inside. Come to find out the lid seal leaves a gap about 3 or 4 feet long. After a month they replaced the lid, that made it worse. Now we need to set heavy stuff on the lid to keep it sealed. It took 2 months to get them to find out that the rail buttons are not replaceable and no repairs are available. Now they will finally need to replace it. I have no confidence that the replacement will seal either, we'll see.

EASY TO GET TO FOODS
We love this freezer. The baskets slide so we can easily get to the foods in the bottom of the chest. Light inside is nice and bright. Very happy with this product.

Tried twice no dice
The first one had the door issue where the door warps once it cools down creating a gap in the middle that causes it to lose efficiency and frost up. HD customer service replaced it with another and that one had the same issue. Trying something different now. Had high hopes, I like GE stuff and it's a well laid out freezer with lots of capacity.

Excellent freezer
The freezer is huge, and baskets make it easy to find and compartmentalize different types of food. I got it to replace an old upright freezer and I really like the chest so much better.

Same lid issue with easy fix
The freezer itself is fantastic. Large with 5 sliding plastic trays on two levels. It also has dividers that you can customize on the bottom. The one flaw is the lid. It creates a gap in the middle on both the front and back. This will cause ice buildup over time and higher energy use. To fix this, I just added some 1/16" foam tape about 2/3 across the front and back and then another level of tape about 1/3 of the width, right in the middle. This helped create a perfect seal. The fix took 5 mins and pennies. There has been no ice build up at all after 2 months of use.

Heavy Duty, Garage Model, Chest Freezer
This is a heavy duty, garage model, chest freezer with lots of bins to separate and store frozen foods. This freezer does not have as much storage as the one the appliance company hauled away, maybe because how thick the insulation - being that it is considered a garage model. Our other chest freezer was still running fine but was 15 years old and cannot risk a failure due to the amount of frozen seafood, fish and meats. It was a GE chest model also but has more storage space than this unit.
Due to pandemic, it too 4 months to receive this product after ordering.

Heavy Duty Garage Model
We upgraded to this "Garage Model" GE Chest Freezer - We asked for as large as possible chest freezer but this one does not as much space in it as the one we had hauled away by our local appliance sales company but definitely heavy duty. Our last chest freezer was a GE also and was still working (15 years) when we purchased this one. We felt it was time and did not want a failure with a full freezer of fish, sea food & meat.

Large Capacity
Just got this yesterday but seems to be a good chest freezer. Lots of trays to organize your items. Cooled down super fast after plugging in. Could use a longer cord on it as the outlet was on the opposite end of the freezer cord.

Excellent Chest Freezer with tons of room!!!
We purchased a cow at auction and needed a big freezer. We already have 2 smaller ones but wanted a BIG one that had lots of storage...... This surpassed our expectations. It has 2 rows of large baskets that can slide back and forth so you can see everything you have..... no more meat "lost on the bottom" because everything is stacked on top of it. LOVE this freezer!!!!

Better than expected
The two rails with baskets make organizing a breeze. Along with the customizable dividers in the bottom you know where the beef is compared to the pork and chicken. And this thing is huge!!

Best purchase this year
I love having a freezer big enough to fit all my frozen food. I was worried about it being a deep chest freezer and maybe the food getting shuffled to the bottom but it has rows of shelf’s making it so easy to stay organized and access whatever we are looking for. I would definitely recommend this freezer.

Great storage
Love the way it’s setup. Am going to have to contact them though, one of the lower rails is not installed correctly and does not line up. The other side has a broken post and won’t support the rail in that spot.

The freezer leaks and causes frost build up. Ge replaced my first freezer after making me replace the hinges and the top, as the gasket is not replaceable, this only made the frost build up worse along front seal. I received the second freezer in august and when I returned home from vacation frost again had built up along front seal- even though it hadn't been open in 4 weeks. Now I am waiting for a second technician to come out and look at it. save yourself the agony and buy a different freezer

worst freezer ever .this is the second freezer as GE replaced the first one for the same reason after I let them replace the hinges and top. which made problem worse.

Had this for a few weeks. Seems well built. Not much to say....it's a freezer. I like the storage trays to help organize. Has a bright LED light inside and a low temp alarm.
It does sit low to the ground. Since I am using it in my garage I set it on some 2x4's to raise it a bit to be sure there is plenty of airflow underneath.

We LOVE this freezer!
We bought this freezer recently to replace our 21 year old freezer, which was on it’s last legs. This freezer is awesome! Tons of room, and the furnished sliding baskets work great for keeping things organized! Love the light too!
